Half way across, Herr Doktor loses his balance. He turns and steps onto the tile beside him, but it gives way just as the group suspected. The jarring release of the trapped tile mingled with the bard's unbalanced turn causes him to lose his grip on the rope, and the half-elf plummets 20 feet to the bottom of the pit, taking 8 bludgeoning damage and landing prone.
OOC: This happened before Ian and Rock cross. We'll keep your rolls, but I wanted to give you an opportunity to react before crossing if you wished.
OOC2: Looking back at the map, now the tile at V10 is also missing. You can see that the pit is 10x10, though, so the tile at V9 is the last remaining trapped tile.
OOC; With the Herr Doktor falling before Ian and Rock could cross, Glynquinal will ask Rock to let go of the rope and throw it down to the Herr Doktor to help pull him out of the pit.
TO Gruxx, Glynquinal asks, "Will you give me a hand retrieving the Herr Doktor?"
To the Herr Doktor, "Herr Doktor tie the end of the rope around you. We'll pull you out."
With Glyquinal and Gruxx pulling and the Doktor climbing, he is able to get up and out of the pit on the west side of the trap. Glyquinal throws Rock one end of the rope again, which Ian uses successfully, then the dragonborn climbs across as well. All five are now on the west side of the hall. Before the party are the double doors at the west end of the hall sheathed in aged copper plate. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors.
Ian takes a closer look at the door, to see if there is anything he notices or infers from the door - any additional carvings or words that may tell him what lies beyond the door.
Gruxx pulls open the ornate double doors and steps inside the next room. Three large stone sarcophagi lie within this dusty crypt that is 20x30 (two on the west wall and one on the east wall), and propped up against each sarcophagus is a human skeleton clad in bits of rusty mail. False columns along the walls are carved in the image of spreading oak trees. A single door is in the northwest corner of the crypt and a second single door is on the same east wall as the double doors, but is on the north end of the crypt.
Rock to Glyn "I will make sure that they all get a cross!" Go on Grux "
OOC: Glyn and Gruxx get across fine. Using the rope will give HDP and Ian advantage.
HDP's Acrobatics check: 9.
Ian acrobatics check with adv. 11
Ian to Glyn Nice use of that body, Glyn.
Rock will tie the rope around his body and cross the pit

Rock releases the rope to Glyn
Feeling sheepish over his clumsy tumble, the Herr Doktor Professor gratefully accepts the assistance of his friends.
"Danke, danke, kamaraden," he says, as he is pulled out.
Glynquinal calls down to the Herr Doktor, "We would do well to keep our good Bard healthy. Glad to see you are mostly in good health."
Gruxx says, “Hold on tight Doctor.”
Gruxx will assist in pulling up the rope.
Glynquinal will pull as with Gruxx to haul the good Herr Doktor out of his predicament.

Retrieving his rope Glynquinal puts an ear to the double doors to try and hear whether or not there is someone one the other side.
Investigation 12
Ian takes a closer look at the door, to see if there is anything he notices or infers from the door - any additional carvings or words that may tell him what lies beyond the door.
Investigation: 22
Glynquinal hears nothing through the doors.
Ian recognizes the typical carvings which precede a crypt.
Glynquinal turns to Ian, "Sounds quiet. Doesn't seem like anyone is in there right now. Shall we push on?"
"We shall" Gruxx says.
Gruxx will enter the room first.
Gruxx sees the skeletons and goes on his guard. He will take his glaive and poke the skeleton.
