Erok looks back at Cora, then hesitates, debating. He turns to Lilly. "Do you recognize anything from this carving? Or you, Wasif?" he asks. "Look, but don't touch. Cora, can you check for traps? This seems too easy."
Wasif will examine the carving, scratching his chin (History 19)
"This is most certainly a burial chamber. Hmm these figures.. they are wearing quite a bit of jewelry to be only priestesses. I would bet that these women were members of the royal family. Likely his wives since they are buried with him."
Erok chuckles at Cora's words, then exhales a sigh. "We are all '****ed up' in some way, are we not?" he says. "Let's open the door and see what happens, shall we?" And he opens the door, making sure to stand in front of Cora in case of any rogue fireballs.
The stone door opens to reveal an elaborate burial chamber. Three stone sarcophagi rest in the middle of the room, their surfaces decorated with gold leaf and colored lacquer. Several statues of women in priestly garb stare solemnly from wall niches around the chamber. More sand is gathered in small piles about the room, but most of the floor is clear. The ever-present glyphs seem to gather shadows and writhe across the stone in this room.

ooc: I really hate to say this but I feel as though I have to leave this campaign as I’ve currently got too many PbP campaigns that I’m in and it’s getting hard to constantly keep track of all of them, but it has been fun.

Lilyth pouts, doubt seeping into her mind seeing Maegan gone now. "What was the point coming here again? So we could all die?" She groans. "First it was Shen, then Percy, now Maegan! This tomb is dumb!" She kicks the wall during her mini temper tantrum.

"You know what's not dumb?" Cora says gently to Lilly, taking her arm. She pulls her gently towards her, very close. Cora stares at her lips hungrily, and looks in her eyes. "You. Don't worry. It'll be ok. We'll get out. I promise."
Cora’s gesture caused the poor elf to squirm and blush madly, a drastic change from how she was not just a few seconds ago. Now, her mental self was smacking her with a rolled up newspaper, yelling GET. YOURSELF. TOGETHER!
Lilyth puts on a brave face for Cora. “I know we are!” Ignore her lips, ignore her lips, ignore her lips— “We just need to figure this puzzle out and not lose anyone else in the process.” She wiggles out of Cora’s grasp (almost reluctantly) and goes back to the entrance to try and make sense of the glyphs in the room.

Cora peers in. Looks. No touchies.
Cora: You carefully examine the door and it does not appear to be trapped.

”Auuuhhh, maaaan” Cora moans, “This can’t be good news. Do we have to go in here..? There’s writhing shadows in here...”
”I agree. Perhaps someone can sense if there are any undead here? I do not like the look of those statues,” Erok says, looking around warily.
