“Oh, thanks!” Despite her little smile, she still felt bad. Did she use to do braids better before? How often did she braid hair? She started to flip through her notebook again, trying to find the instructions she wrote down for braids. Did she write that down?

The elf grumbles in annoyance. If only there were tags of paper to quickly flip through this thing! At least it was a distraction.

Cora could sense Lilly was still not convinced. She turned back around to sit side by side with her, and took her hand and gently lifted her chin up. With her thumb, she caressed her cheek. Even annoyed, she was still the most beautiful thing Cora ever saw. "Hey," she whispered, "I love the braid. Here." She flipped to the page where Lilly had originally taken notes. They wrote down another thing or two. "When we get back to town, i'll get you some page markers, ok?" She reached her arm around Lilly's neck, got her in a playful headlock, pulled her in, and kissed the top of her head.

Maegan: Your spell radiates through the water around you, damaging whatever it is that is assaulting you. 

The creature retaliates.

Attack: 21 Damage: 11  bludgeoning

I believe that hits - which means you are grappled. It seems like the water itself is restraining you.

 What would you like to do? You can give me an attack roll if you want to fight, or an acrobatics or athletics check if you want to try and escape the grapple.

Lilyth was glad she had Cora to help keep her calm. Chances are she would have ripped this notebook into tiny little pieces out of frustration a very long time ago. The anger was mostly stemmed from her memory loss, and it always had frustrated her when she tried to remember something and simply couldn't even when she wrote it down. The elf simply didn't want to be too reliant on her book, but she would have to for just a while longer it seemed.

"Thank you, darling." She smiles and turns her head just enough to give a kiss to the others cheek.

After a few minutes of more sitting around, Lilyth got anxious again, whispering to Cora: "We should've stopped her..."

When the creature attacks Maegan you see her eyes glow purple and then fire radiates from her. Maegan casts Hellish Rebuke at 2nd level so I need a dexterity saving throw with the DC at 14

Acrobatics check to escape: 20

“She’ll be fine, babe.“ Cora said, slightly unsure, but didn’t show it. She knew all about anger and temper, and understood how Lilly felt sometimes. Cora was still sassy and untrustful, but had eased up over the centuries. She felt guilty about Lilly’s memory loss, but was thankful for the opportunity to reconnect with the vampire turned elf. 

Cora gets up, stretches out her arms. “Babe, help me turn this thing.”

“We shouldn’t...” She says quietly, though she gets up from her spot on the floor. “B-but... It’s just going to be a quick peek... She’ll be okay.” She goes over and helps turn the dais.

“Just a peek I promise.” Cora agreed and grunted in turning the dias with Lilly so a door opens that we havent opened yet.

“Let’s try the south door.” Lilyth says in the process of moving the dais.

Cora helps Lilly turn the dias with her biceps of steel.

Cora yells, “Maegan we’ll be right back!”

Maegan: You lash out with fire and then easily escape the creature's grasp

Dexterity Save: 23

That's a pass, but you'll still do damage so go ahead and roll it.

The creature is going to try and attack you again.

Attack: 11 Damage: 10

Lilyth and Cora: You move the statue, closing the East door and opening the South door. As the door opens, there is a rush of stale, but breathable air and you all feel much better. The door opens into a long corridor, you would have to go in a ways to see where it leaves.

Cora smiles as the door opens and air comes in. “Ok! We have five mintutes! Let’s do a quick peek people! Move, move!”

Despite there being a twisting feeling in her stomach, Lilyth headed down the corridor, her eyes darting from every which way to see if she could spot any sort of traps that might be down the way.

((would it be possible to use my Passive Perception (16) to check for traps or would you rather me roll? I forget which skill is to check traps perception or investigation...))

Erok will head down the corridor, moving quietly, trying to keep an eye on Lilly as he did. 

Blades out, Cora mentally kept time. "Stay frosty, peeps."

Main Group:  Anyone looking for traps or trying to spot anything else out of the ordinary make a perception check.
