Eya and Kiven turn and fire up towards the top of the mast. But both projectiles sail off into the night unimpeded. A high pitched laugh starts up, "Yehehehe! Clever clever! Clever meat! Are you clever enough?! Attack my beautiful minions!"
Clawed hands scrabble at the sides of the boat as several creatures start climbing out of the water. Their bodies appear to be composed entirely of ice.
Cursing, Captain Odenkirk snatches up his personal weapon, a large battleaxe covered in runework. His crew do much the same, but most are poorly armed. Two rush to the pile of armaments, and start messing with a crate full of oilcloth wrapped swords.

Eya calmly looks around at the ice creatures that have climbed up out of the water and onto the ship. She clasps her hands together as if in prayer. Softly, she begins a chant that only Kiven can hear beside her.
For the elements, shadow and flame, For the foundation, blood and the Lord of Contracts,
With Kiven's magic-seeing eyes, he sees an immense amount of dark, evil energy coalescing around Eya, like an aura of intense hate.
I hereby swear, That I will be all that is evil in this cruel world, And that I will be the disposer of all that is good in this cruel world,
Before her, space itself begins to crack, shadow and flame licking at it's edges.
My will creates your body and your jaws determine my destiny, Now, come forth, O Guardian of the Gates!
The crack in space bursts open. And then, slowly stepping forth through the opening is a large black hound, nearly 5 feet tall at it's shoulder. It snarls as flames erupt from it's mouth and snout. A wicked grin comes across Eya's face as the hound lunges and bites at one of the ice creatures.
Ok so, Summon Monster 2 here, the Hell Hound. It will spawn at H6 and attack the target at H5 for now. Eya will stay put for now.
Hound Bite Attack: 18 Hound Bite Damages: 6, 5 fire
Kiven watches the scene unfold and says to Eya while drawing back his bow once more "I suppose I don't have to tell you that your fire will outclass my ice here." "Perhaps the rest of these imbeciles need to be told not to let the scary ice monsters touch their skin, however?"
At that Kiven lets one arrow fly, followed by another, targeting the ice elemental on the port side of the ship (H12).
Jesla hears the creature on the mast speaking but still can't see them. As the other creatures made of ice begin crawling over the side her blood sings to her. " Lord Gorum," she says softly as she moves towards the creature coming aboard close by her. (I12) She swings the sword in a violent arc attempting to end the creature quickly.

Respar curses as Eya and Kiven suddenly attack the mast, confused. But then the voice calling out from nothingness proves to him his companions have not lost their minds. When the ice creatures begin to climb aboard, he draws his rapier and charges the one on the starboard midships (moving to M-4, attaching N-3).
The Nessus Knot move in on the attack, with varying degrees of success. Jesla misses entirely, and Kiven deals only a glancing blow with his second arrow. Eya calls in a hellhound, which moves to rip a huge chunk out of one ice elemental. Respar has more luck, dealing a solid blow on the creature climbing up in the middle of the starboard side.
The crewmen near the bow, oddly enough, want nothing to do with the suddenly appearing hellhound, and instead go the other way to attack the one Jesla is engaging. They don't do much damage to it, but they do succeed in blocking it from getting on the ship. Captain Odenkirk hacks a large hunk off of the creature nearest him, but in short order he and the crewman who moved to aid him find themselves surrounded as the Ice Elementals board the ship and move towards the nearest target.
Several crewmen suffer clawing attacks, and Respar is hit as well. Grumblejack lumbers up and swings at the Ice elemental damaged by the hell hound. The big maul smashes its head to splinters, and it emits a strange wailing as it crumbles to the deck.
Respar takes 6 physical damage, 2 cold damage, and must make a Fort save or be staggered next turn.
Hearing Eya's words and seeing her summon a hell hound that immediately annihilates one icy foe, Kiven comments "well that's disturbing." "all that is evil in this cruel world, eh? A bit much, perhaps?"
The Prince scowls as one of his arrows goes wide and the other barely grazes his icy target. Seeing that the hell hound, Grumblejack, Jesla and Respar are making short work of the ice elementals, the frustrated elf takes aim at the invisible creature atop the mast once again, firing off two more arrows in rapid succession at the magical aura he sees there. Both hit nothing but snow filled ocean air, however, and Kiven curses in Elvish.
Eya reloads her crossbow as she yells up to the creature at the top of the mast, "If you want to live you stupid shit, then show yourself and start apologizing NOW. Otherwise, you will end up as dog food within the next 18 seconds." To Kiven she just looks at him blankly and replies, "It's an old-school summoning evocation. What? I like it okay?"
She then turns to Grumblejack and says, "Good job over here, Grumblejack. Now go help the captain on the other side for me." Once her crossbow is ready, she aims for one of the ice elementals and fires. Then, in a harsh yet strangely mesmerizing language, Eya points and gives orders to her hound, "Hoor koltoum aknu."
Anyone who understands Infernal will know that she said, "Go kill that one," to the hound. If she can get away with it, I'd like to attempt an intimidate. Though I know she is pushing the limit on this turn. Using her Movement to reload. Will shoot for the target at N4. Hound will also target the one at N4 and move to M5.
Jesla curses in irritation as she missed. Once again the pull is strong to give in to her rage. She grits her teeth and swings even harder at the icy creature in front of her.
The creature above laughs again as more arrows miss it and Eya tries to make threats, "Yehehehe! Nope, nope. I'm comfy up here, and apologizing to you sounds unhealthy."
Respar misses his target, but the cultist before him manages to get in a good hit with a sword taken from the cargo, and then a few moments later, Eya's hound shows up to finish the job. On the other side, Jesla manages to hack the thing before her to pieces, and it swiftly falls into the water.
Grumblejack starts lumbering his way around towards where Captain Odenkirk is still fighting the remaining three creatures.
Eya tells the hound to run towards the ice elementals, but to stay a little back for now and focus on defending itself. Then, she reloads her crossbow and complains, "Ugh, whatever that thing is, it's a freaking brat."
She attempts to shoot the obnoxious creature.
Hound move to U7 and take the total defense action for now if it can.
"I suppose you would, wouldn't you" replies Kiven to Eya's fondness for her dark summoning evocation. After missing twice more the elf sighs and says to Eya with no small amount of disgust in his voice "it seems I'll have to devote some time to mitigating the magic of other creatures". Seeing no threats from ice elementals any longer, The Prince continues to guess at where the hidden figure might be exactly, firing two more arrows at the top of the mast.
Jesla smiles as the creature is cut down. Seeing the captain fighting several of them she starts racing that way to help him. Grumblejack is headed that way also and blocks her path. She turns on her heel and runs around the other side of the cargo and will move into contact with a creature attacking the captain. (U9)

Respar see that the ice creatures are being quickly defeated, though the presence aloft seems unperturbed. He sheathes his rapier and dashes to the mast and begins trying to clamber up...
More arrows whiz by whatever is at the top of the mast. It keeps laughing at you all.
Grumblejack lumbers on up and swings at one of the ice elementals, but he misses, and his target finishes off the crewman who had been by the captain. Jesla runs around the other side, and arrives in time to distract one of the creatures. Odenkirk takes advantage and buries his axe in the chest of the one he'd been attacking, it cracks open and crumbles.
Meanwhile, Respar scrambles across the cargo and starts hauling himself up the mast using the knotted rope left there for that purpose. The creature above continues to laugh, "Oh you want to come up here? Are you really suurre!? Its a looooong way down, Jehaha!
Jesla nods in appreciation of the skill the captain dispatches the icy creatur with. She moves wide around the other creature the captain is engaged with and then attacks from the opposite side. The huge blade whistles as her muscular arms swing it savagely.
She moves wide to avoid extra aoo and moves into U11. This includes the flanking bonus.
Kiven keeps his cool this time as Eya seems to have summed up the frustrating nature of the situation quite nicely. "Patience she-devil. You are giving it what it wants." As he says this Kiven begins to ponder what the creature actually does indeed want and realizes this whole thing seems like little more than a distraction. The Prince takes a quick glance in the direction the ship is headed, remembering the iceberg in the vicinity before the snow started to fall. His elven eyes see that they are going to hit something soon and immediately Kiven has lowered his bow and is sprinting down the length of the deck on the starboard side. As he dashes past the cargo headed for the tiller Kiven calls out "Tiger woman, turn the ship! We are going to crash!" Just then the elf crashes into the tiller and begins to push.
...but can't actually move it this round because I've used my full action.
Respar continues to scale the mast, initially relieved he is not attacked by the unseen entity. But as he nears the top, he realizes that maybe this whole thing is a diversion, possibly even an illusion. He stops about 10 feet from the top and scans the area, also looking for the iceberg since Kiven has yelled about crashing.
Eya misses yet again with her crossbow, "Yehehe! that one at least came close, do try again!" Her hound tries to bite the elemental in front of grumblejack, but its teeth can't find purchase. Grumblejack for his part smacks the elemental with a solid blow, though it remains standing.
Jesla and Odenkirk tear the elemental between them apart as a yelling Kiven runs around to the tiller.
Respar gets further up the mast, and can see that there does appear to be something there. At the least the snow appears to be flowing around a small object perched on the top.
If messing with the tiller next round, make a strength check.

Initiative time in case it wasn't obvious.
Map has been updated with the ship's general layout. The brown section in the center is the cargo, you can walk on it, but it counts as difficult terrain. "IF" stands for "invisible foe" Eya and Kiven are the only ones who can see where it is at present.
