So you all start to make your long trek around the town, Pokim holding his chest of toys, Kulsee bouncing on Ash's back, Darastrix twirls his sword around, Vruuk letting out a large yawn, and Ash carrying some new equipment in his arms. As you go around town it is fairly uneventful, the sun is shining and there is a slight breeze. Before long you are on the path heading up to you house. As you approach your home, something doesn't feel right... by now you would normally be able to hear the sounds of children playing and yelling and smell the delicious sent of supper being prepared... but instead it is just silence... other than the sounds and smells of the trees and forests around you. As you approach closer and the orphanage comes into view, you can see that the front door is open blowing in the breeze.

Pok'im puts down his chest, pulls out his Pike and says to others "Pok'im and Vruuk will go look, yuh all stay 'ere!" He turns to Vruuk and says "Bro is yuh comin' or not?" Regardless of Vruk's actions, Pok'im sets of stealthily (Stealth roll 8) up the hill to the front door. He slips into the shadows created by the bushes along the path and although the others knew where he was going, they are having difficulty making him out. Nor can they hear any footfalls. Pok'im peers around to see if he can see what might have happened (Perception Roll 21).

Perception 12 .
Darastrix blinks at Pok'im's request and even though his brother had already disappeared without a trace, he'd make his way up to the house as normal. Not seeing any reason to be suspicious simply because one of the kids left the door open. Ma will tan their hide.

Vruuk visibly shakes off his confusion, and with a nod and readied bow, he follows in Pok'ims shadow at a short distance. When they get close enough to the building itself, he closes the gap to pat Pok'im on the shoulder, and then motions his intent to go through another way. Possibly a back entrance, if their home had one.
Pokim manages to sneak quietly to the front door while Vruuk manages to sneak around to the back. As they approach the doors of the house and look inside things appear to be almost exactly how they left it. The house is dark with none of the normal candles or lanterns lit and there are no signs of breakfast having been made or lunch being prepared. The house is incredibly quiet. As the two bugbears look inside, Darastrix and Ash both approach the front door behind Pokim and see the same sight. At first glance the place almost looks like it was abandoned.
The only response is the sound of the breeze blowing in through the open door causing a few of the hanging pots and pans to slightly bang together like windchimes in the kitchen area.
Vruuk's worried expression grows at the silence. But he had to be sure. Absolutely so, thus he creeps inside from the back to start searching the place from top to bottom will making as little noise as possible. While inside however, he switches from his bow and arrow to his hand axes. 'This wasn't another surprise party... was it?'He thought.
Darastrix walks into the house. The rooms look about how he would expect... everything is fairly clean of dirt but cluttered with toys. The strangest thing is that you don't see or hear anyone.
(People can roll me perception / investigation checks as they make their way through the orphanage)
As Vruuk enters in through the back door, he is unable to see or hear anyone.. He very carfully makes his way up the stairs towards the attic to begin searching from top to bottom. As he makes his way up the stairs he notices that every door in the house is wide open...
So as he makes his way upstairs, he can see what appears to be dirty human boot prints based on the size and shape in the hallways, moving into out out of all the rooms as you make your way upstairs. You notice many many footprints that look as though someone tried to quickly sweep them away. The bedroom doors are all open and you notice that the sheets on all the beds are missing as you head upstairs.
Darastrix doesn't do much walking through the house as he sees its been emptied out. Just makes his way over to the kitchen table and pulls out his last remaining piece of meat out the sack and begins munching on it quietly. "Look as desperately as you all want. They left us. Like everyone always does.
(Lol, it was all an elaborate plan! To get you out of the house and hurry up and leave before you came back :D Imagine Joe Dirt.... but instead of leaving you at the grand canyon.. they sent you to Haggers...)
Pok'im joins the others seaching the house yelling out as he does so "Ma, Pa, come see what Pok'im has got?"He yells out particularly loudly "POK'IM HAS GOT TOYS!" Expecting to be overwhelmed by the younger kids at this and not being Pok'im stands there scratching his head, not sure what to do now.
Pokim knows that normally he is swarmed with children climbing all over him without the mention of toys.. but after making an announcement like that.. he should be completley engulfed in a sea of children. Instead the only sound he hears is his voice echo off of the stone floor of the old monistary. As he looks around, he does see a small table appears to have been knocked over, which while not uncommon... would normally have been set back the right way immediately to prevent a lecture from Ruby.
Pok'im says to anybody with him "Pok'im thinks somebody has been here, cos Ma wouldn't have let"he points at the table that has been knocked over "stay like that for long! And somebody woulda fixed it up real smart so as to not get a talkin' to."
Every year my weekends are slammed during December because of the number of places I have to go lol

"We going too," Ash asks Kulse curiously as everyone leaves them behind.
