Angie hops up and doubt a bit when the flower pops up and giggles in wonderment before mumbling to herself. "This is amazing. When I have more time I will need to learn more about this Giant. I wonder if he worships any god. I believe that must be the source of his amazing power. This could provide me with a lot to progress my hypothesis"
Then she snaps out of it and turns to Gobber. "Gobber, that poem was wonderful. I had no idea we had a budding bard amongst us. Hopefully that poem will be merely the beginning of a powerful ballad about an epic and successful quests. But first we must traverse the rest of that quest."
Angie looks back to the sleeping giant then to Thokein. "When he spoke in Giant did he give any clue as to what our next steps should be? Did he mention what was wrong with the forest?"
He mentioned something about an Elmtounge? Said she was appointed guardian of the forest and used to like to turn into a green dragon. He said she was benevolent but that she was hurt by a bad wizard. Maybe that is what is wrong? If we can help her, maybe the forest will get better?"
DMNote: It is approaching noon. Barkbull is dreaming away in the meadow, but other than listen to him snore there isn’t much else to do, or find in this location. The only way out is the way you came in. What would you like to do?
You leave the meadow with the knowledge that the forest’s guardian may be afflicted by the sorcery of some dark wizard. The weather remains fair and the sun’s rays keep the fog at bay as you return to the fork in the road with the red and blue tattered cloth and eventually to the t-intersection where you started your foray into Wildheart. You take the opposite path than you selected the first time around and it takes you directly south for about an hour, before turning sharply to the left, then left again taking you directly north for a half hour. In all you have traveled for about four hours making it midafteroon. At the end of this time the path you are following veers left twice more and comes to an abrupt halt in a small clearing. The clearing looks deserted and is eerily quite. The branches here are thick and let little light through to the ground.
As you walk a little further into the clearing you all notice large deformations and cracks in the ground leading towards the center. You walk gingerly forward weary of what you may find. Angie seems slightly distracted and almost looses her footing on the uneven ground, but is quickly caught by Healer and Thokein who prevent her from falling.
As you reach the middle of the clearing you find the source of the broken ground is a large sinkhole which appears to be ten feet in diameter. You approach the sinkhole with the utmost care and peer into it it’s depths, but are unable to tell how deep it goes due to poor lighting. Nothing else in the clearing catches your attention. There are no sounds of wildlife, or signs of other paths. At the moment it seems like your only way forward may be down.
Angie watches Thokein drop the rock and shaking her head dismissively says, "Watch how it is done." With that she also picks up a stone, but then casts light on it. The stone begins to glow a bright white and she drops it down the dark hole.
You all watch as the ensorcelled stone leaves Angie’s hand and drops down into the sinkhole like a falling star. You see the white light burning brightly for twenty feet. At thirty feet it begins to grow dim, at thirty-five feet the light becomes faint, and at forty feet the light suddenly winks out as the spell reaches its limitation. You can tell the sink hole is beyond forty feet.

Barkbull’s sleeping form gives no clues as to how the flower grew. The magic could come from a god, or from the land, but your not sure which.
Gobber touches the flower and smiles
As Gobber touches the flower, he senses something change with his body. Gobber feels slightly closer connection to the forest.
Gobber is now capable of using the spells:

Gobber suggests them to leave the sleeping giant alone and return from the road they have walked on.
"Well, the giant is sleeping so we might as well leave it be. Don't want any angry giant on our trail. We should return to the the trails."
"Agree. I wish we could have gotten a better location on this Elmtounge before our friend went back to sleep, though."

Grabs a nearby rock and throws it in the hole, listening to determine depth.
(Also, how close is the nearest tree?)
Make a survival check please.
