Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

Aryn smiles and says, "Come on Mucor, let's head back to the tower now for some rest." and attempts to lead him back to the tower. Acting as if she didn't notice anything.  If she is successful in getting him to the tower she'll excuse herself using a potty break as an excuse and find the nearest mage out of his sight.  If she can find a mage she will say, "I am Aryn Xilvaris of the Lightbringers.  I need you to send an urgent message to Varion and get him here immediately.  The life of Mucor is at stake."

(OOC: So I am pretty sure that Button Jr. is not considered a Curse / disease / magical effect... so spells used to fix those types of things would be out. Also banishing him would not work either.. Pretty sure. Now the real question is whether or not Button jr has his own soul... and if you killed Mucor and then resurrected Mucor... if Mucor and Button jr. are considered one unit or if they are two seperate entities. I could also see where you might have to kill mucor and completely destroy the body and then perform a reincarnate spell instead of a resurrection spell because if you give him his old body than it would have a button jr. in it where as reincarnate would be a new body. You might be able to have Mucor keep his current body if you completley destroyed Mucor and his entire body and then went and used the True resurrection spell or something like that that doesn't need any part of the old body and he just kind of "pops" back into existance... but if Button Jr. is truly a part of Mucor and fused into him.... I don't know how you get him out. Before when he would kind of move around Mucor's body I had thought you might be able to have Button Jr. move to an arm or a leg and then cut it off and grow a new replacement limb with the regeneration spell but it sounds like Button Jr. is in mucor's brain now soooooo....)

(@Mucor- only time and the dice will tell.  You're not entirely right but also not wrong on some things.)

Aryn- Button turns Mucor's body robotically and nods.  The nod though is shaky and staggered as if his head and neck were stiff.  You manage to play off your lack of knowing so well that he blindly follows you trying not to reveal the true nature of what's happened.  You can tell though that Button is slowly figuring out how to use Mucor's body and despite nearly falling of the horse twice he soon begins to move a bit more fluidly.  The game of mental chess continues as you arrive and take your leave of him at the front desk of the tower.  He watches you intently and stares trying to see if you have noticed the change but is unable to tell and put at ease.  

You quickly find a mage and though he is unable to perform your task he is able to summon another mage who quickly fulfills your request.  You hear Varian's voice in your head say, "Aryn, what is wrong with Mucor?  Tell me as much as you can so I know what or who to bring with me."

(Apologies Gaelin, Jinara & Torq.  Since this would've occurred during the night, I have to see where this goes before continuing your journey.)

"Uhh. I think Mucor's body has been taken over by a mushroom he awakened...  Maybe Inara would know something.  It was just a friendly mushroom at first but then when he changed from a minotaur there was this tiny mushroom that glowed and pulsed in sync with the big mushroom.  He opened a portal to the grove and the big mushroom flashed and then Mucor's demeanor seemed to change.  His eyes were glowing blue and pulsing and so was the little mushroom.  I don't know just come bring help immediately." she says frantically.

OOC: I am excited to see how things go. I am OK with being a spectator for a while lol. 

(Good rolls Aryn!  You can do this.  Also, I assuming it was sending that Varian used so he only got the first 25 words of all that lol.)

Aryn- you hear Varian's voice again say, "That... is unusual...I will reach out to Inara and as well as Laura and arrive shortly.  Stay with him and don't leave his side."  

Make another deception check if you return to Mucor.

(Luckily for you, mushrooms, even awakened are that insightful.)

Button looks at you and manages a crooked but passable smile.  His mouth opens and you see small particles or spores come out and the words, "Go... to .. bed?" come out with an overexaggerated inflection at the end to signify it's a question.  You can tell he's getting used to the body, and is learning to manipulate the multitude of facial muscles and vocal chords.  He already knows how to speak the language, just not the way to say it from Mucor's body.

About 5 minutes has passed since you left him at the front and you feel that Varian should arrive any moment.

"Yes, just a moment sweetie." Aryn says trying to deflect and turns to the person at the front desk.  "Do you have a room we can use with a comfortable couch? Oh and could we also get a bit of food too?" she asks politely trying to play it cool and delay their stay at the front.

(OOC: Button Jr. is definitally going to know something is up if aryn won't give him a bit smooth goodnight!)

The attendant smiles and says, "Yes, I'll have someone come to escort you in a moment." unaware of the situation and just going about her job.  

Another minute passes tensely before a mage comes walking around a corner and down the hallway to escort you to the room.  You feel your heart sink for a moment before you see Inara, Varian and Laura approaching from behind the mage a a slightly more rapid pace.  They pass the mage and wave in a friendly manner trying not to give away their concern.  "Oh hello Aryn and Mucor, we heard you were in town and thought we'd stop by.  Would you care to join us for a quick bite to eat or perhaps a drink?" Varian says kindly with a bow while exchanging a nearly imperceptible glance at Mucor and subtly casts a spell.  

Mucor- make a DC 16 Wisdom Saving throw!  if you succeed:

MUCOR WIS SAVE! 13

That was with a +11 by the way.... PLUS ELEVEN

lol, Mucor is a wisdom saving throw master but he is truly messed up at the moment lol. IF... IF I survive this I am going to burn Button to the ground.. Button and his whole family of mushrooms. 

(oh no...)

Button's eye flare and a snarl curls across his face.  "No!" he shouts and attempts to run away.  Varian and Laura each immediately  attempt to cast hold person on Button.  Button stops in place and is paralyzed as Varian, Inara and Laura each move closer to examine Mucor's body. Laura and Varian exchange nods and Inara begin to casts a spell.

Aryn- you watch as Inara's hand glows with magical energy and she waves it over the paralyzed body examining the arms, legs chest and head closely before the glow dissipates and says, "It's a fungal infestation.  It's unlike any I've ever seen but it may still be curable."  While Inara pokes and prods, Varian and Laura each examine the stiff body but are unable to discover any magical curse or affliction.  Inara walks over to Aryn and asks, "When did this happen?  How long has the fungus been plaguing his body?"

(OOC: I was waiting for them to be like.... Yeah that's weird... never seen anything like this before... It'll probably work itself out on its own ;) )

"Mucor changed about 10 minutes ago. Ever since he changed bodies he has had the mushroom as part of him.  It's Button, a mushroom he awakened.  It glows and pulses blue.  When he opened the portal to our home his eyes started glowing and pulsing blue.  Please, help him."  Aryn says as tears begin to form at the corner of her eyes.

Inara looks compassionately on Aryn then back to the infested body of Mucor and ponders for a moment.   "I will try." she says and expends a spell.

Mucor- You regain control of your body and mental faculties.  You feel bad though and can tell that something is wrong.  Your skin feels like it's on fire and your lungs burn.  You immediately hunch over and cough up blood.    Make a medicine check!
