Gaelin listens and watches the display of power and anger from Mucor and decides to remain quiet for now. When Mucor is done he'll come up to him and say, "Uhh hey Mucor, everything alright? Did I hear you say that was your mom?" he asks not wanting to pry too much but also wanting to make sure Mucor is good mentally. "Sorry to hear about your dad. I can help tomorrow or the next day if Herbert can't."
(Check it and see! I got a fever of 103!) ooc: Mucor will definitally answer those questions from Gaelin but I am not 100% convinced that Mucor is going to be allowed to just be done doing what he is doing without some retaliation from Button first lol.

You watch as two large spheres of flame burst into being just above the ground and begin to incinerate the nearby fauna including the miniscule black and blue mushrooms that Button has grown. What you don't expect is the high pitched scream emitting from each as the spheres roll over them. The two spheres crisscross cascading fire in long swaths that consume everything within 5 feet of them. As Mucor opens the sealed mouth of the cave you see the glowing blue outline of Button prime. A split second later the entire cave, roughly 12ft by 12ft begins to glow blue and pulse. A single "Why?" escapes from within as the spheres enter and begins to consume the interior. The cave and opening begins to act as a giant furnace insulating the heat from the two spheres and causing Mucor to step back from the hole. The heat intensifies and the flames begin to turn blue then white then strangely green. After a minute the flames suddenly flicker out and smoke billows out backlit from the glowing hot stone. Another few minutes pass and the intense red glow fades to yellow and seems to once again dissipate into a faint green glow.
Mucor- you take 8 fire damage from the heat of the two spheres when they first enter the cave. As you approach the hole in the cave you still feel the heat from the stone and see a small flickering green flame continually burning in the middle of a large pile of ash. As you look at the small flame you see it swirl into an orb of flame that lifts into the air and rushes towards you. Before you can react it slams into your chest. Green flames wash over your body and you expect pain but instead feel healing where you were previously burnt from the intense heat. You heal 12. The flames vanish and you are left in the darkness while your friends stand watching behind you. Make a Nature check!
Aryn, Gaelin & Torq- You just witnessed Mucor literally torch about 60 feet of his grove and Button without saying anything. He then gets hit by some magical green fire and appears to be no worse for wear.
(There was literally nothing Button could do to you because you are immune to poison and he's vulnerable to fire.)
"You know why..." Mucor would growl under his breath in response to the cries from Button's children. When the flame slams into him and he is unharmed, The elf looks over his limbs while the flames race across his skin. "What is happening to me?" Mucor asks as he looks to the sky asking for guidance before looking to Herbert and his friends.
Mucor- Looking over the scorched area and bordering lush area, you find no traces of Button remain. Just as you felt a connection with Button you now feel a new connection to an unseen source though it doesn't seem to have shape or voice. You think back to the flames and you feel an inner warmth rush from within your torso. You think back to your time spent at the grove of the Elanaetas and recall seeing some of the druids who seem more attuned to the flames than others, occasionally causing the flames to dance and spectral emblazoned spirits to rise from the bonfires that they used to cook the food. Perhaps Inara would know more about what just occurred. Whatever just happened though, felt good.
Mucor would stand up and dust the ashes from his fine clothes Aryn had bought him. "Sorry, a lot has happened since in the last couple days..." The elf would rub the back if his neck and let out a snort of relief. "Button took control of my body and nearly killed me. Then Aryn and I visited my parents... and just when it looked like I might find out why my father abandoned me in a cold dark swamp, a vampire attacked us. She killed him and tried to kill my mother lily lilyanna." Mucor pauses and looks to the sky as smoke and ash swirl around him. "I hope to get more answers once we bring him back to life. If nothing else it will make my mother happy, turns out I was the only one in the family born a minotaur..." A single tear runs down his cheek. "I uhh, found out I have a couple sisters too. I think they may be pretty good cooks.. I am excited to meet them some day too." He adds looking from Gaelin to the ground.
Aryn will walk over to Mucor and place a hand on his shoulder. "Let's gather our things and get ready for whatever this crystal is. Gaelin will you help Herbert with Mucor's father? Just check the body and see what needs to be done and find out the timeline of when we can bring him back. We'll be back in a bit then we can leave." she says looking back at her brother. She'll tug gently on Mucor's arm leading him back to their quarters knowing he's been through a lot in the past 24 hours. "Are you sure you're okay?" she asks on their way up.
"Yes I think." Mucor replies with a frown. "I keep bringing people here to daybreak as a place to be safe. Quintin and Daisy... and now my mother... and it wasn't safe as long as Button lived." he would stand a little taller and take a deep breath as though to fight back any tears. "It was time to get rid of the past so I can focus on the future. I'm going to try really hard to put the past behind me one way or another and focus on what matters most." Mucor says as he squeezes Aryns hand. "I appreciate everything that you've done for me. Thanks for saving my life and helping me to find my mom."
"Okay... just maybe tell us next time before you decide to blow up everything. It was quite impressive. I'm glad you're trying to move forward. Just remember we are here for you as well. Some things you need to do on your own and I respect that, but just know we will help too. I'll meet you outside my room in a few minutes and then we can head to the grove." she says entering her room. She gathers her weapons and changes into her armor. Holding her bow she looks down at it and says, "I've missed you." and walks out ready to leave when Mucor returns.

Gaelin watches Mucor's fiery display and just nods when Aryn tells him to help Herbert. He knew it wasn't the time for all the questions but he'd do what he could to help and will examine the body and speak with Herbert. "I should be able to resurrect him within the next 3 days. perhaps as early as tomorrow, depending on how things go. Do you need anything before we return?" he asks.
(I cast the spell that keeps the corpse ziplock fresh for 10 days, so I don't know if that makes it easier to resurrect him or not? I cast it within a minute of him dying so I don't know if the body can be treated like he has only been dead a minute or not.)
Torq will look over the destruction and watch Mucor and Aryn walk up to the keep. "Remind me not to make him mad." he jests and stamps out any smoldering piles while they wait for everyone to return.
Mucor would wait patiently for Aryn before making his way with her back towards the grove. once there he would move towards the new tree near his small monastery of sorts and utter the command word to turn it back into a staff. He would then collect his other belongings before making sure to say goodbye to Lilyana and quinten.
Herbert looks over the body and says, "this is repairable. A terrible death, most definitely painful. If the soul is willing he should be able to return back to normal life. We will wait until you are ready. Our natural restorative magic is a bit more unique." Gaelin you notice the blacked veins and immediately discern the work or necromantic magic on the body of Mucor's father. After hearing what Herbert said you would know that death takes a toll on a person's soul. It is just as trying on their soul to return from the dead even if willing. Should the resurrection be successful Mucor's father would be quite exhausted for a number of days. Mucor and Aryn return to the grove and you watch as Mucor taps a large tree and it glows with Natural energy for a brief moment then shrinks down into the form of a staff.
Lilyana give Mucor a hug and kiss on the cheek and turns to Aryn who she also embraces. "Thank you for returning my son to me. You take care of him wherever it is you are going." You look up to the top of the wall of the inner courtyard bordering the grove and see Quentin. He gives a small nod and walks back towards his station on the wall.
You all gather around Gaelin and he begins to cast a familiar spell as arcane runes glow in the palm of his hand. You vanish in a flash of light and reappear in a large dim lit chamber of stone. You see Cedany standing holding an orb of light, Jinara, Kelgos and Valeera a few feet in front of you. "Welcome back." Cedany says with a smile.
(Phew everyone is back together again. That was a whirlwind of events. Appreciate you all allowing each other to delve deeper into their characters.)
"Huddle up tonight. I'll create a dome to protect us should anything come in while we sleep. Tomorrow, we may want Iris, Cedany and Kelgos to stand guard at the stairs while we investigate the crystal. If anything should happen to us Iris can teleport them back to the castle and contact Varian or Inara to come help." Gaelin suggests.
"So where is this crystal? You said none of you went near it yet. Can I go look at it? I'll be super sneaky." Aryn says with a smile. She wasn't overly concerned with whatever danger the others thought this crystal posed. "If it makes you feel any better I can use a spell come come back to here as long as we're within 500 feet of the thing." she adds.
"We don't know what is in the room or what the crystal is or does, but I'm not going to try to stop you. I don't think you should go alone but at the same time you are pretty crafty and agile so if there was one person that could do it, I think you're the right one for the job." Gaelin replies.
