Emboldened by his armor of agathys and shield, William swings for one of the rats, casting Green Flame Blade, hoping to catch a second rat in the flash of fire from the spell.
The remaining two rats figure they don't want to get burnt so they retreat to get help.
Disengage and move away.
I'm assuming you guys head toward the library. At the library you find that the door is locked. You hear heavy rat reinforcements coming from behind you. You need to think fast.
Countdown to Rat: 10 Turns
You guys are out of initiative but all three of you can still take one action, bonus action and movement per turn. So every time all 3 of you does something, the countdown decreases. Also standing around for too long will decrease the countdown.
So to recap, you guys are standing in front of the big two storied library. You tried the door but its locked from the inside. What do you do?
There are multiple windows on the ground floor. To turn the corner around the building will require a full movement so you can't do that yet. But the side with the door/ front side has two windows.
Chives yelps, then dashes towards the library.

Do the doors open in or out?
The doors open in normally but you can't open them because they appear to be locked/blocked from the inside.
Also nobody responds when Joben uses his action to knock on the door.
William looks around for something heavy with which to bash the door in.
Perception: 10
William doesn't find anything, though I have to ask... are you sure you want to bash the door in?
Does anyone have thieves tools?
Well, nobody actively searched for them anywhere so no.
