After learning what was needed, Gilra casts Dispel Magic at 9th level. She first tells everyone to back away, puts up her extrra 80 temp HP and then frees the balor.
Knowing both that she may have been deceived with the true name, but also how extremely incredibly valuable it would be if the demon was truthful. She is DEFINITELY NOT sharing the name with anyone else.
"I hink Mr. T is a more appropriate name for you," she tells the balor.
Hornet flies back and does something creative. He tells the Balor tell me your name and we won’t put the imprisonment back.He then says Tell me the creatures name. To whiver knows it, while filling their head with pictures of what is happening right now, but they are dead (whoever knows the name, not us). Brutally contorted.
As Gilra's spell causes the arcane sphere to disintegrate, the Balor stands. Its wings spread out as it stands up to its full height. The ground shakes under its weight. Any of you who are standing close are forced to step back as an aura of scorching heat extends around the Balor. Now visible is a long wicked looking whip on its belt and a longsword of black metal.
Freedom. At last. It has been centuries.
He eyes Hornet, flitting around and talking. He intently eyes each of you, ready for anything.
My name is Bathazorin... for those of you who wish to use it.
It takes a deep breath and grins, it’s large pointed teeth stained with red.
Ahhhhh I smell the blood of angels on your weapons. That interests me very much indeed.

Raze tenses and sets into a defensive stance as the shield around the fiend drops. "Greetings, Bathazorin... We did in fact just come from a cavern full of celestials."
You’re just going to give us your name? Hah. Yes, we just killed a lot of angels, though this fool spared one. He eyes *who banished the solar again? I forget.) Banished it to its home plane, but now it can tell them our dirty secrets. So, how are you doing, Bathazorin?
Laucian watched as Gilra casted the Dispel Magic on the sphere at 9th level, having been told to back away and doing so. He could see the Balor stand up, looking at them before giving it's name, surprised that it would willingly do so. Bathazorin mentioned the smell of angel blood on their weapons, now interested in them and thinking that this will work in their favor. "Hello Bathazorin. Good to see that you didn't lie to us after all. Freedom feels good, doesn't it? Yes, we took care of some angels that stood in our way. We are on a mission to the core of the world to obtain the Blood Sphere to open the gate to the Elemental Chaos. More enemies will likely stand in our way, those blasted angels awakened the Beast that Sleeps beneath the Earth as well so we have that to defeat too. Does that intrigue you even more?" Laucian then said back to Bathazorin with a sly smile, trying to see how the demon reacts and if it is in a good or bad way. He is hoping to get this demon general to want to willingly help them in their goal, to gain a useful ally whose motives just happen to align with theirs, especially since they did free Bathazorin and believing that the demon owes them big for that at least.
Barosh goes over to the villager and frowns at his mentally crippled state. "Looks like our canary broke, I should've brought more. He can still be useful in other ways, I suppose."
Barosh takes the villager and tosses him back in the bag of holding, making a mental note to pull him out before 10 minutes are up. He then searches the room for anything else that appears useful. Investigation: 7
Unless he finds something interesting, Barosh will fly deeper into the cave, using his mage hand to check for traps in the same fashion as before, "Come on, we don't have time to waste!"
And to the others, "By the way, if there is an obvious place to rest up before something important is going to happen, I would appreciate it. I've used up my most potent magic to free Mr. T here."
Laucian smirked as he saw how interested Bathazorin was and how the Balor said that their interests align. “How perfect. It seems that we made the right choice to free you after all. Consider your debt to us for freeing you paid off in exchange for all the blood that you’ll get to spill so that we may open the gate, Bathazorin.” He said back to the demon, very glad that they now have a powerful demon general on their side so long as it doesn’t betray them at any point. Then Laucian had heard Gilda, nodding in agreement. “Yes, rest would be appreciated as well after having used my most powerful magic to weaken those angels and being low on health after coming back from the dead.” He then said also, thinking that it would be wise for them all to rest up soon before another major battle happens.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"This area appears to be as good of a place for rest... No apparent threat seems to be present." Raze walks around the cavern to assure themselves of this observation.

(Heh. You’re welcome.)

(Ah no you were quite clear about who the message was for I am just blind)
"So, Bathazorin, do you have any idea what lies further down this cave?"
(Has the townsperson recovered yet? If so I'd like to send him running again)
No! Feed him to the demon.
"Why? He's been quite useful so far"
Barosh reaches out to give the townsperson a pat on the head.
(That was that was meant to be out of character. Notice there is no color to the text....)
Archy looks at Barosh funny. Who are you talking to?
"Indeed I banished the last one because it had supposedly already finished its mission and I saw no reason to kill it"

The Balor listens to each of you in turn.
I do not know what lies ahead. When I was transported to this cave I was already trapped.
As Laucian describes your mission and opening a gate to the Elemental Chaos, Bathazorin does not bother to hide his interest.
It has been too long since my sword tasted blood. And a gate to the Elemental Chaos you say?
He pauses for a moment, thinking.
It seems that our interests are aligned.
Barosh: The villager is cowering behind a rock in utter terror. You all are one thing, a demon from the depths of the Abyss is another.
Con check: 5 Wis check: 9
The villager is a mess. He seems too weak to stand. The things he has seen and endured have reduced him to a blubbering mess; his mind is broken.

With initial signs pointing to no immediate threat from the balor, Raze relaxes his stance a bit. "Have you seen other creatures pass through here?"
In all the time I have been here, you are the first.

Barosh: You don't find anything of interest in the cavern. You fly a little ways ahead, using your mage hand to check for traps. Nothing happens.
Raze: Glancing around, you don't see any immediate threats.
