(Well, we did just burn 2 9th level spells and Laucian is still one tickle away from death saving throwland, so it'd probably be the better move to rest. However, I don't think we're going to be able to do a full long rest, just because of the nature of the campaign. If we tried, we'd probably be mauled by the billion Devas that crept up on us as we slept. I vote for going forward, but would be fine with short resting as well)
(going forward is OK, I just thought that if we have couple more fights and then an obvious big fight coming up AND an obvious place to rest before that then we should)
(A short rest at least should be fine so Lucian can heal up some more without him or anyone having to use any more spell slots. Figured that a long rest would be impossible, though my character would just need 4 hours of meditation to get the long rest that would normally be 8 hours of sleep.)
(I’m good. I have most of my HP surprisingly. And I haven’t used any important spells or features. In fact, if you wanna rest, Archy and Hornet’ll probably just chill with the demon, keeping watch.)
(Seems like the consensus is folks would either like a short rest, or don't need it but don't mind taking one. So unless someone objects, the group takes an hour to breathe. Feel free to roll hit dice and restore anything you get back on a short rest.)

Laucian glared at Archy as he questioned why they thought of resting, shaking his head. Of course that human wouldn't understand that he is down on health a lot and that if he doesn't heal up some, he will likely die again and jeopardize his chance of getting to the Blood Sphere. Luckily there was no real objection to it as they sat and rested for an hour, but while doing so, he also plays a soothing tune on his violin to help heal the others who are resting even more.
HP healed: 34
Song of Rest (For anyone that spent Hit Dice to heal): 7
(I also get my Bardic Inspiration that I used back and Misty Step back again, so that will certainly help a lot.)
(Gilra has nothing that resets on a short rest. Although it would be interesting to learn how far we are from the next dawn as she does have something that resets at dawn)
(Since no one seems to have anything additional they want to do before moving forward, I'll continue.)
You continue down the tunnel with your new Ally in tow. As time passes you start to feel it; a powerful dark energy ahead that can only be the Bloodstone. Your pace quickens in anticipation. You are close now.
Gilra and Laucian are the first to hear the noise up ahead. A terrible thunderous roar unlike anything any of you have ever heard before. It is still distant at this point but the sound is... concerning.

Gilra uses the Symbiotic Entity once more. (It's at-will and costs nothing at level 20, so I'm just going to assume that she always has it up, the extra 80 temp HP that lasts for 10 minutes)
Then turns into a Giant Eagle and follows the others.

WWhy do you think of resting? We have work to do.
(I'm still good to go. Though I do get spell slots back on short rest, so they're not terrible for me :P)

Archly is too cool for resting. But does so anyway.

Barosh sighs and is disappointed that his comrades do not share his eagerness, but will rest nonetheless.
Hit Dice (I'm trying to get max health so I'm going to roll 5 to start but may roll more): 34
(Barosh also regains 4 sorcery points yay)
(Ki recovered and ready to go)

(With the rest, it has been about four hours since you all entered the gate. We've got a ways to go until the next dawn.)
You all take an hour to rest and strengthen yourselves for what is coming next. At the end of that time, you gather together ready to press on.

Gilra looks at Bathazorin, "Ever heard anything like that?"
(If it was telepathy, Archy can’t hear it.) what the @$#+ was that? Hornet, you know what that was? Hornet and archy brainstorm for what that was.
History (or nature):14
Hornet’s history/nature:10
"Obviously our best course of action is to get closer."
Barosh will go full speed flying deeper into the cave.
Archy: You and Hornet think back over everything you know and can't think of anything relevant.
Bathazorin will think for a moment Int Check 6 and bares his teeth, not bothering to contain his excitement. (He responds to everyone)
Whatever it is it's big- at least the size of the most ancient of dragons.
The huge demon will laugh and charge after Barosh, the two of them racing ahead.
(Going to give the others a chance to post before getting to what IS up ahead)
