Securing both the pitons and the rope, Garrus will descend first, if no one else is willing to. He'll keep an eye out for anything of note or interest.
(@all: Don't worry. Nadaar's got Light so we can -- nope. Don't have that. How about feather fa--Nope. Don't got that either. Uh... Good luck climbers?)
While awaiting for others to climb down the rope to hell -- or wherever it might lead, Nadaar remembers his lantern and starts working on getting it lit. Though as he does so, he glances back to Volgiah and the rest from time to time until finally he cannot help but ask, "Why are you all really going this far for my home? Coinage and... experiences aside, one would think ones of your measure have had enough of the danger by now."

coin IS nice, but if there's no one to show it to, if there's no one left to buy from, if we are all that's left? No. Im doing this because i have hope that I will help to protect someone other than myself. I want people to be safe.
Id also hope that if this were anyone else's home at risk, there would be others doing as we are.
Just need a little hope.
oogéd seems lost in thought as he speaks looking down the hole
"I am a servant of The Morninglord. I go where he tells me to, I do as he asks of me. He gives me a purpose; a chance to be apart of something greater then what I was. These undead upset the natural order he values and so it is my duty to rid the world of them." Volgiah says, hers fingers find their way around the amulet around her neck and closes her eyes. For a moment she is not deep underground in the cold, dark unknown; for a moment she sees the sunrise, she sees the new day and feels the warmth on her skin.
"I do not fear death. When I die I shall go to his side and continue my service. Make no mistake though, I do not actively seek it out. I hope for many more years to come. My duty to Lathander means that my duty is to the people of this world. I fight; I heal. It is what is demanded of me and it is a price I am willing to pay."
Cleft shifts uncomfortably. "As you can see, I am not exactly suited for excursions into pits." He says, indicating his equine body. " I'm afraid I'll have to wait up here. "
Suneni offers to wait with him, so the party descends into the pit minus two of it's original number.
By the time he has reached the end of the fifty feet of rope, Garrus can see the bottom of the pit, another fifty feet below him. The ground is studded with jagged rocks, and the foul stench is almost unbearable.
Garuus climbs back up and asks for another 50ft of rope. If someone has it he'll tie it to the bottom. If no one does, he'll go back down and using his daggers as pikes, he'll climb down.
Nadaar listens closely, and watches each answer in turn even moreso once settingly the matter of lanterns. "So ultimately, it is out of feelings of obligation, then? Hm. If I did not know any better, I would think you all to be dragonborn."He admits, then lets out a quiet chuckle. "No offense, of course. Just a matter of perspective. Hlal has for sometime seen to keep himself amused at my expense traveling abroad, and mingling with the les--other races."He shrugs helplessly.
When eventually came time to climb down(after passing Garuus his 50ft of silk ropeto attach first), Nadaar hooks his hooded lantern to his belt and follows down last. "See in you two in a bit then. Especially you, ma cheri~"He gives Suneni a wink as continued his descent. Reaching the bottom, Nadaar has to pull up a perfumed cloth to his nose and hold it there. In the other, he readies a longsword and follows after whoever wished to take the lead.
Volgiah descends afterward, nodding at the two staying behind.
"Don't get eaten by the worm while we're gone. And Cleft, stay away from the dragon." She tells the two before leaving. When she reaches the bottom of the pit her face twists up at the smell. Digging through her pack she pulls out one of her sticks of incense and lights it in hope of a minor reprieve from the stench.
With the additional fifty feet of rope Garrus manages to descend onto the floor of the pit. Ogged follows, and the pale light of the lantern reveals a massive tunnel to your immediate right, fifty feet in diameter. The walls of the tunnel are coated in a thick, slimy substance.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Garrus takes a eyes the slimy substance, trying to note if it's dangerous in nature or if it came from any creature he'd be familiar with.
Survival(?): 16
He'd then ready his bow and slowly make his way towards, the tunnel, but wait for the rest of the group before proceeding forward. (OoC: Garrus has 60ft of dark vision)
Nadaar eyes widen at the sheer size of the cavern. After sparing one last look back up the way the group came, then back at the way forward, he shakes his head then stood straighter as if re-affirming his resolve. For the sake of those with dark vision, Nadaar keeps himself and the lantern closer to the back to limit exposure. He keeps to a defensive posture as he moves after the others.

Garrus, call out when you reach the bottom. Id suggest just one at a time on zis rope.
Volgiah wipes her boot on the ground, grumbling under her breath.
As the group peers into the hole leading down, Volgiah eyes the surrounding area keeping an eye out for anything unusual.
(Im not sure 50 ft of rope will get us to the bottom. Almost worried its a pit to hell.)
(Probably not, worst case scenario, Garrus can dagger climb his way down.....or try ar least XP)

ah. Good idea. It does help some.
