Jolly gives the others the biggest smile. Though he quickly hides it behind a hand as laughter starts bubbling to the surface. It eventually gets so bad, the firbolg winds up using both hands as he lowers himself to the ground. It's nigh impossible, but he tries all the same to keep watch past the tears.

"Oh wow hobgoblins!" Says Vigar as he puts the berry that Jolly handed him into his mouth. "Interesting I thought they were typically hostile. I wonder what is so important to them here. Oh my that berry was delicious! How did that taste like my mother's pumpernickle bread?!"
He then starts to scan the ravine to see if he can find anything of interest. Keeping a constant ear towards the Hobgoblins and Puli.
Puli shrugs her shoulders at the hobgoblins, then starts backing away. When she is back down the path far enough to be out of sight, she ducks back towards her companions. She waits for a minute so that the hobgoblins think her gone, then heads towards the group. When she reaches them, she speaks softly. "Only two. Not wear weapons. We sneak by?" her beak clicks and she cocks her head from side to side, her beady eyes blinking.
The elf raises one eyebrow at Puli, his hand slowly reaching to his side and tugging at his scale mail, which clinks slightly, "Well we'll need to have some good diversion for them, then. Any ideas?" his eyes wander off towards the ledge again, before continuing, "I doubt we'll get this done wholly quietly, if that is what you with. And even so, these two will be waiting for them once we're done."
An out of breathe Jolly just waggled his fingers in the air in answer to Vigar along with a broad smile. By the time Puli returns, the 'giant-kin' had recovered enough to stand, and almost immediately tries wrapping her up in a hug. "You good joker. Like Pixies. Only bigger."He lets her go, but not without patting her head soon after. "Bird Watching. It's funny cause you bird. And watch them." He flashes a toothy grin. "Why sneak though? You not ask them if we can go past?"He cants his head and scratches his head, eventually digging out a seed out of his hair. As he absently began studying it, he continues to say, "Hm.. I not good at that. But good at escaping. Can go ask tho' . And if they say no? Jolly... make Jolly. You see." Unless stopped, Jolly will then immediately start making his way over to the hobgoblins with his shield put away, and only his 'walking staff' for a weapon.

Puli doesn't resist as she is pulled into a hug by the giant firbolg. She flinches a bit when he pats her head, but says nothing. She puts out a hand to stop Jolly as he turns, making distressed clicking sounds. "Hobgoblins bad," she says. "No ask. Just - " and she gestures, drawing her finger across her throat like a knife. She looks up at Cemendur."Distract? Or sneak? Which?"
"Vigor said too. But maybe these good hobs? They not hurt you."Jolly expresses, gesturing up and down to her. "They even trade before. But not speak yet, so... trust your judgement."He admits with a solemn nod before folding his arms and turning his gaze skyward, searching for any birds flying overhead.

Vigor looks at the group with a calculated look on his face and speaks again. "We out number them, or those that we can see at least, and my biggest fear wwould be to leave a group of forward scouts alive to tell of our location when we are at our weakest. Our best course of action would be to at least detain them. I mean for our safety of course." He then smiles and moves his arm around to his back where he has his shield and draws it around. On the front of it you see a scroll without any words emblazoned upon it, the symbol of his god. Then drawing his sword he tilts his head to the right cracking his neck "this is the part of the job I hate."
Puli looks around at the others and nods resolutely. "You go, I sneak. Shoot bow. I go," she says, with a sharp snap of her beak. She pulls her hood up, adjusting it, and crouches down, ready to sneak up on the hobgoblins and shoot them before they can raise an alarm.

Jolly
Jolly still seemed a little reticent at first; but, any sense of the feeling is replaced by furrowed brows of determination once the group is one the move. At some point during the jaunt he digs out a few pebbles from his bag of rocks, whispers something to them, then blows a faint green mist upon them. As the mist sinks into three, small little crazy faces appear in their surface. Jolly stops short of 40 or so feet with the hobgoblins if at possible, and makes ready to throw them just as soon as their either take up arms or one of his other compatriots attacks.
With a sudden raise of his right arm, Kenneth sends Kai up into the air to scout around. He then pulls his oversized hood over his head saying "nudge me if you need me, I won't be able to hear you speaking." After mumbling a few words to himself his deafness and blindness set in as he gains new vision through Kai. Kai will fly up and over the hobgobs to see if he can spot anymore beyond these two.
Vigar approaches, raising his left arm in the air "Good afternoon my friends. My little avian friend had just spoken to you, I however am not comfortable with your presence and the possibility of you having another force around. We can do this peacefully or we can do it through arms. The choice is ultimately yours you can hold out your hands now and allow us to tie you up, so that you cant go tell your friends where we are and what we are doing, or we can just end your pitiful lives." the whole time his hand rests on the hilt of his longsword still stowed on his hip.
The elf is startled by the sudden movement and his companions coming out to the open, but quickly proceeds to join them, even though his face clearly shows his uncertainty, he stands at Vigar's side as he parlays, defiantly eyeing the hobgoblins.
As soon as the Hobgoblins refused let loose the first stone(ready) the first stone, and wiffs the shot. "Oh... Sorry. I won't miss the second time." He apologies as he winds up for a proper shot. "Gooo Sleepy!" He sends it flying, aiming and hoping to knock him out with the second shot following in the wake of Kenneth's spellcrafter-y.
Walks with a calm swagger and determination on his face as the closest hobgoblin closes. As they continue to close a reflection of the sun shines off of the hobgoblins sword and causes Vigar to swing where the hobgoblin was missing his mark. "It would have been easier had you just come peacefully!"
The elf sighs as if their reaction was overly predictable, then purses his lips bracing himself for combat. His hand reaches for the sunset emblazoned over his shield, from which flames magically burst to life with a warm glow, then he curls his hand to a claw, pointing at one of the hobgoblins, and the same flames seem to surge from under him.

"Sure, 'taking break'," says one of the hobgoblins, mocking Puli. "Just the two of us out here. Leave us alone and we'll leave you alone."
