Scupper, you head into the secret passageway. It is well lit and seems, as far as you can tell, to be in regular use. The passageway bends to the right after about twenty feet, and then back to the left, and you see ahead of you a larger open space; though the ceiling is not particularly high, the air feels different as you approach, though you can't quite put your finger on why.
Scupper, if you want to check for signs that Incantis and Dario passed this way, please give me a survival check.
Is anyone else joining Scupper in going through the secret door and down the passage?
Dario reaches into his back and removes a crowbar and waves it at Incantis. He then enters the hallway and closes the door behind the two of them and using the crowbar as a makeshift lock by jamming it into the door. "You rest for a bit and I'll keep an eye for us," Dario says to Incantis.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dario, you attempt to lock the door using a crowbar, but there doesn't appear to be a mechanism that allows this. There is a single wooden door with a metal handle and no locking mechanism on the door or the wall. Nevertheless, you manage to close the door over and begin your rest.

Your rest isn't disturbed, and an hour later you and Incantis are ready to go. At the very end of the rest period, you do think you hear the sound of voices and movement, perhaps from the crypt or from further away, but definitely in the direction you originally came.
Spend any hit die you want to recover HP. This now puts you back on the same time frame as the other half of the party, should you chance to meet up. :)
I couldn't figure out how to lock a single door with a crowbar, I'm afraid. Can you show me an image of what you had in mind?
Sure, but I still can't really picture it. It doesn't matter for the game, as no-one tested your defences, but I am a bit curious. My knowledge of crowbar-based home defence is lacking, I guess.
Dekhan, there are signs that the passageway behind the secret door is frequently used. There's nothing to suggest that Dario or Incantis came this way, but then as the floor is not particularly dusty, it's unlikely their passage would leave a mark. On the other hand, now that you think about the other door (leading north from the room with the pool), there did seem to be some indications that the doors rarely moved but had been opened very recently.

Incantis starts from his rest, signaling at the door to Dario at the door, cupping a hand to his ear, and tilting his head questioningly as if to ask the elf is he heard it too.

I was in the middle of class learning about how boring fonts can be, when I read this and nearly sprayed my computer with coffee! LOL!!
"Vague voices,"Incantis whispers in reply. "I'm not sure if they're coming from the crypt or behind the door we heard locked, or even from beyond. We should be on guard, it could be the redbrands returning, or other lackeys from behind the door." He puts an ear to the door in B4, listening closely, if not to hear the contents of the speech then at least to determine if the crypt is currently occupied.

Wait, my friends, thinking back I have a strong feeling that Dario and Vaz went through the door leading north... perhaps we should go that way? Or I can go collect them and meet back here with you. Just leave me some signals if you continue on, to indicate traps or which way you turned at a fork.
Incantis, you can hear no sounds coming from the crypt, and even the other sounds you heard seem to have faded away now that you're paying attention. You wonder if you just imagined it.

Righty Ho! Declares Vaz, amiable that he wasn't eaten by an Underground Pool Monster.
He will take last place through the door, keeping an eye out behind them for lurking Eye Monsters.

I was picturing we were using it to bar the door, not necessarily lock it.

I figure he would just jam it into the door where the hinges are, so if someone tried to open it the crowbar was act as a resistance.
Fair enough, I can see how that would work. Thanks. :)
What would Incantis and Dario like to do next?
To be honest I was picturing something like this.
Incantis, half-elf warlock (great old one) 4/bard 1 ● Thorok Earthhand, hill dwarf mountain druid 6/grave cleric 2
Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3

Ayyyyy!!! Nat 20! That was to see about Dario and incantis having passed this way or whatever else an be discerned by the tracks.

That was a very helpful nat 20!
