Dekhan runs over to Scupper. Scup! I’m sorry, I should have been quicker, are you alright? Hold still a moment. Dek will lay a hand on Scupper and summon some divine light to heal his wounds for 3pts. Strix! Are you alright? Does anyone else need healing? Dek will spend the rest of his available healing points on whoever needs it.
Ah feck it. Thank you, lad. I'm mostly jest a target in these head on situations. If we can get a full night's rest we'll all be fine but those two may have friends... should we take the optimistic view? Strix lad...ye took enough arrows to make a pin cushion o' yerself.
You allow the two goblins to run; combat comes to an end. Your campfire burns gently in the centre of camp, and the smell of burnt goblin flesh is strong.
Disappointed that the hunt isn't on, and ashamed that this happened on his watch, Strix slumps back to camp and tries not to meet anyone's eye while attempting simultaneously to pretend the 3 arrows were sticking out of his torso since before they ever met and to pull them out when no one's looking.
If time and blood loss allows, he'll find a goblin bow and quiver and use those with his bedroll inside his redbrand cloak to build a decoy sentry with a bell on it. Don't think there's time for tripwires if we want to complete the LR
Strix, it's a magnificent fake sentry; the bedroll bulges to make the sentry look strong and powerful, the cloak whips in the breeze providing an air of mystery and danger, the quiver is one muscular forearm, concealed beneath the cloak but ready to reach for a weapon at any moment. You admire it for a few seconds, then watch as it ever so slowly topples over and becomes a pile of junk on the ground. It was only with you for moment, but any attempt to recreate such a marvel would be doomed to failure, and act of sacrilege to boot.
Strix cocks his head to follow it's progress. Bob (that's the sentry's name) you genius! He pulls an arrow our of his shoulder and sticks it into the heap, then lies down nearby to resume his watch. Two dead sentries. No one shoots at two dead sentries
pleasure...serving .. witcha... Bob gasps as he's rolled up and dismantled.
Don't go getting any ideas, We're not taking lodgers! But there's something in that - if we had a bit more time we could set up something convincing, some tripwires, bells... Shame we didn't think to ask the ranger before he left, this is more his speed than ours, but leave it with me.
Strix hands the 3 arrows from his attack to Scupper for his quiver and mutters a sorry, then moves off to run through some stretching and warm up forms to shake off the aches and pains of the night before.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You finish your preparations and continue the journey. It's another warm spring day, with a pleasant breeze coming from the west behind you, seeming almost to push you towards your destination.

There are, once again, no travellers on the road, and nor do you see any enemies.
From the map, it looks like you'll reach Conyberry in the middle of the afternoon, at which point you'll need to decide which of the three quests you will attempt first.
I missed my chance and it doesn’t have any impact, but Incantis casts a healing word on Scupper as they set up camp. He’ll also put on a song for the party, an instrumental (I guess) piece of quick jaunting rhythms and jubilant melody.

The song is sweet Incantus, and thank you fer the medicine, but the way Vaz and Zoria burnt and shattered those gobos to pieces leaves a new song in me heart.
Thanks to you Zoria as well, for the early healing (which i missed entirely cause I'm an eejit). I owe you fer that brilliant heal roll. I'm back at full HP with that last bit.
Zoria courtsies to the halfling. "First one's on the house." She looks around at everyone. "It's a joke." She says with a smile. "I'll always be here to heal you guys!"
Whatya recon Sirs and Miss Zori? Try to get a book off a dead lady? Vaz asks Or should we hit the Orcs before they send out for reinforcements? Wonder if the goblins ran back there..he says, almost to himself.
It's now the middle of the afternoon, and you are walking into the ruined and abandoned little town of Conyberry. It would seem that it was destroyed perhaps a decade ago or more, and no-one has lived here since. Fire obviously swept through the town, though the rains of many years have washed much away, and vegetation has covered the roads except for the main trail. For the Triboar Trail goes straight through town, and you see what you imagine is the ruin of a tavern, a smithy and a small temple similar to Sister Garaele's. There's no obvious sign of anyone there, but make a Perception check if you want to look more carefully.
You see a small trail leading north-west towards the Neverwinter Wood - this trail was described to you by the Sister, and leads to the banshee's home. There is no trail leading south, but you see the hills stretching away from you, and know that Old Owl Well and Wyvern Tor both lie to the south.
Strix, the town is in ruins; fire and weather have destroyed the buildings, and the site has been thoroughly looted; you find an old campfire with a few scraps of cloth and discarded chicken bones. A large group of people camped here and had a good meal, perhaps three weeks ago.

Strix, make a Performance check to build an impressive sentry.
Performance? Uh oh.....

Strix stands back on wobbly legs, absurdly proud of his work regardless of the roll.

Well we agreed the orcs will be the more immediate threat to innocents...
