Dekhan will half carry the unconscious man over to the wagon. A bit too much celebrating, I’m afraid! We’ve got to get him home now and hope Rebecca still wants to marry him when he sobers up! Haha!
Vaz! Strix! Quit playing! There'll be more drinks at the nuptials! The Blushing Mermaid for now, driver. Me lads will gather our wedding clothes and well have te figure out what boat the celebration is on. You jest keep things smooth and there's more for ye at each stop.
He winks and drops five gold coins on the seat next to the driver one at a time to keep his eyes off the approaching passengers.
As you all (I assume) pile into the carriage, the half-elf grabs the money, and with slightly shaking hands he starts the two bay horses moving down the road at a medium pace.
Dekhan laughs again as he loads the unconscious man onto the wagon. Let’s get him to bed and we can have a cheeky pint or two on his tab, I’d say we earned it!
We should grab our wedding gear from the mermaid and mayhaps head to the boat wherein the ceremony takes place. We'll continue the party and not miss the appointment. Id hate to have his FAMILY show up at the Blushing Mermaid up in arms if were late. I wish I could remember which boat but I'd bet I'd recognize it when I see it.
The half-elf drives towards the Blushing Mermaid, without saying anything. It's quite some way across the city, and you notice that his hands are getting shakier, and the carriage moving fast, as you go. It's possible that he could reach a dangerous level of speed. You are being bounced around something fierce, and attracting a fair amount of attention.
Dekhan, you are inside the carriage and don't have a way of seeing the half-elf.
Varinth, you are being shaken around like nobody's business. You're not sleeping. Feel free to pretend though.
Gyaaah! says the half-elf when Scupper speaks. Yessir!! He slows the carriage somewhat, though it's still moving briskly, and his hands do not stop shaking.
Yessir. I mean, no sir. The half-elf looks completely wretched, and you can tell that this carriage is not for public hire, it probably belongs to a noble family for private use.
The carriage reaches the square in the Docks district where several establishments face the big open space that is so popular with diners, revellers and brawlers. You pull up in front of the Blushing Mermaid. The carriage comes to an abrupt halt, sending Strix, Incantis, Dekhan, Varinth and an unconscious unnamed captive crashing into the side; you think you hear a splintering of wood.
Incantis, the escaped gang member that Zhudala is following appears to have found a quiet back alley somewhere near the Grave district and is sitting down to tend his wounds.
Strix peels his face off the carriage side muttering "Oof! Think prefer walk..." He tries to slide out the window and up onto the roof to see what's going on.
Strix, you lose your grip as you try to climb around the carriage exterior, but at the last moment you manage to grab the very back of the vehicle and clamber up.
The half-elf grabs the coins, waits for you all to exit, and drives off as fast as he can. Scupper, you think you hear Thank you sir! as he pulls away.
You stand before the Blushing Mermaid. Or at least four of you do.
Varinth, you enter the inn at breakneck speed. Today there is a female gnome tending bar; you've seen her serving drinks, but she seems to be alone at the moment. Oh, hello, she says. She will happily sell you drink to refill your waterskin. One of the stablegirls was looking for you earlier. Did you see her?
Incantis sits still as a rod, his pale face even grayer than usual. He's gripping the carriage side tight, white-knuckled. He's never been in one of these before and he does NOT like it.

Oi! Did I say kill us all? Did you steal this carriage? Jest get us there in one piece eh?
Now that he is lying down in the back of a carriage being gently rocked Varinth is quick to fall asleep
Dekhan examines the driver trying to determine if there’s more than having the dread pirate Scupper as a fare making him nervous.
”it was rainin hard in Waterdeep, he needed one more fare to make his night.
A pirate up ahead waved to flag him down, he got in with a Knight.
”Oh where you going to, my motley crew? It’s a shame your friend is dead drunk.
The hafling just looked out the window, saying “there’s another lush in the trunk.””

You are about halfway to the Blushing Mermaid.
Good lad. Keep yer wits about ye. What's got ye so shaken, then. Big city like this. We can't be yer most frightening fare can I?

Well. Your lordship must be quite happy with this here ride. We'll keep this mum between us then.
Scupper plops another two gold coins.
Prolly wouldn't want to wait and take us dockside eh? Get back to yer master then.
Varinth rolls out of the carriage and hotfoots it into the Mermaid to get his skin refilled, it's emptiness starting to tear a hole in time and space.

Dekhan stands with the unconscious man hanging from his shoulder. Where should we take our sleepy friend, lads?
