Ulrich is one of my names, you call me Dekhan, or chief. This is Scupper, my advisor. He speaks with my voice, as does Zoria. Oggor, you are my advisor now as well. Advise. Ask your questions, Scupper, Zoria.
We’ve got 5 orcs and a ogre here, it’d be a tough one... if we decide to fight I could try to convince the orcs to kill the Ogre to prove their loyalty and strength....
Varinth stuffs the fireball scroll back into his sash. He will make his way around the orcs and over to Gog. Standing just over an ogres arm length away;
Dekhan is not a fan of Orcs, and he’s especially not fond of ogres, cause of all the ****** and eating of elves and whatnot. So he’d rather not leave these guys here to menace all our new friends in town. To expand on what I put in the thread, I’m leaning towards starting some infighting, probably between the orcs and the ogre, to thin the ranks and then taking care of what’s left. Saying something along the lines of “Brughor was weak, fight among yourselves to prove your strength, orcs vs ogres, let’s go!” Incantis could do some more thought planting.
Remind me again, what exactly is our goal here with these orcs? Are we supposed to eliminate them? If that is the case, then yes, creating in-fighting would be very beneficial to us. I'm not sure if Dekhan can pretend that he can give the orcs the ability to hear each other's thoughts, and then Incantis does an orc impression and starts some shit in their minds.
Dekhan, Oggor nods and turns to the other orcs. Clean him up, lads, and he points to the fallen Brughor, make sure the Chief gets his stuff. The others nod and run to grab the body and haul it off into the cave; they seem a bit eager to impress their new boss.
Varinth, Gog shrugs and traces doodles in the dirt with his finger. Oggor walks over and claps him on the shoulder. Up, Gog. We've work to do. Go keep watch. Gog nods, still looking miserable, and walks off a short way.
After a short time, one of the orcs (Jukk, you think) comes out of the cave holding Brughor's greataxe and a small pouch; he offers these to Oggor, who shakes his head and nods over to Dekhan.
Dekhan, Jukk approaches you, holding out the weapon and, after you take it, the pouch. Brughor's... um... yours, Chief. he says, a little nervously. The axe is decent quality, ornate and scary looking but a standard axe and not worth particularly much. The pouch contains 750 cp, 180 sp, 62 ep, 30 gp and three vials of perfume worth 10 gp each.
Varinth, reacting to the Orcs stubborn refusal to pick up what the party is laying down: Well, subtlety ain't their strong suit. Not surprising really.
I'm starting to regret this idea to be honest. I wish we didn't know their names. Especially the big fella. I just wanna give him a big hug and send him home to Mama for a big helpin' o Bone Mountain Stew.
Vaz looks wistfully over at Gog standing guard in the misty rain. After a moment Vaz snaps back to reality;
Oh and I recon we're okay now but once we start moving this Micro Army, they will probably sniff out our friends. Especially the one without the monk like owlyness.
Quietly to Vaz I’m not crazy about getting to know them either, but their brute strength will be a plus against the undead. Just don’t get too attached.
Dekhan gives a small smile to Scupper. I’ll be alright. Amazingly enough, he never really got a hold of me. We can push on now if we like.
what do we think, lads and lady, let the hidden stay hidden and move on the undead? Shall I give the order to move out?
The orcs busy themselves with cleaning up, resting and cooking dinner - you're not sure what the meat in the pot is, though you can make a nature check if you wish. Generally, the orcs give you your space and allow their new Chief to speak to his followers, though as they gather for dinner, there are frequent glances over in your direction. The sun is setting, and the cool, wet air is becoming chillier.
Incantis steps forward, projecting his voice into the orcs' minds. "Incantis, of the pact of The Corpse Star."Continuing in his normal voice he croaks, "Well done, Dek."

You okay Big Fella?
This is Vaz, he has great magics, follow his orders as you would mine.

OOC: I'm leaning toward using them as an army against the undead... which is likely to kill a few.
Working harder, not smarter. I like it, Felix.
Turning to Dekhan...
Should we tell 'em about the undead treasure then, m'lord?
Sidling up to our little party, Varinth whispers so the orcs don't hear;
We keepin our Mister Inky under wraps for the time being?
Then in a stage whisper so the orcs might hear;
I dunno Mister Scupper, ain't orcs scared of ghosties n' such?
Scupper responds
No idea...
Then a bit louder
No idea...they seem to recognize Ser Dekhan's authority and might...
...feckin know I do now. Almost as an afterthought to himself.

The orcs don't seem to notice or respond to any of your stage whispers; they have a lot of other stuff going on at the moment.
What would you like to do?
"Yer the chief...shall we march after the undead or get ye to a healer, lad? You took quite a hit."
