With his mind, Incantis speaks to Scupper. "This banshee could be a wealth of information, but I don't want to scare her off. Sister Garaele mentioned she's prone to vanishing when disturbed."

OOC : Just a thought, but if she has more than one spell book in her possession, would that mean that spell books are something she's interested in having more of? Would she be interested in the Red Wizard's spell book, which we don't have but she might be able to help us find? He's a wizard, and he was animating undead, so he *must* have a book somewhere. Demiplane? Up a zombie's jumper? The old "Icewind Pocket"? And if we find his book for her we also find whatever else he had, which might include cool stuff, but if he's working for or against (or parallel to) the Black Spider we might find information we can use.
Oh, wait, if she's a font of information can she just tell us where the castle or the mine or the Spell Forge is? We just need to find out what she likes and bring her more! If she's collecting books she may be looking for a specific spell, and what better place to find it then at a Spell Forge?
I'd ask but I nearly got lynched by a town full of Level 0's last time I tried to "help", and the time before that, and the time before that so I'm damned if I'm going to start negotiating with something that's not already afraid of me :D
Incantis, you see the banshee slowly pick up the pearl, and take a few moments to admire it. I must be going soft in my old age.
She turns and looks at you. Bowgentle is the name of the wizard whose little book is the subject of such interest. That information you have for free, because I am old and tired and want rid of you quickly. In answer to your actual question, I traded the book to a necromancer named Tsernoth, from the city of Iriaebor, over a hundred years ago. I have no idea what happened to it afterwards. Now, her face hardens, go!
Incantis, an unseen force pushes you, and anyone with you on the threshold, backwards flying through the air. You land and take 5 falling damage. Branches and leaves grow and shift until the entrance to the dome dwelling is completely gone. There is silence in the forest.
Well, that’s that, I suppose... Dekhan stands and works the wrist he used to break his fall. What’s next, lads? Back to town to collect on the undead job, appraise Sister Garaele of the new developments, He lowers his voice, speaking only to the party members near him. and perhaps introduce Sildar to his new auxiliary defense force?
When he has the opportunity Dekhan will speak to Oggor about the possibility of staying in the area and helping the townspeople in a mutually beneficial relationship.
Aye Dekhan, i suppose yer right. No one said nothing 'bout putting her down eh? So's I guess I don't die at the hands of some long dead bitty elf wit her ears in a twist o'er some book we can't find. I'm narrowing down that list though and I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
"AUUGHrrrggg!!" Incantis yelps in surprise as he is flung through the air, grunting in pain on the ground. Standing with a grimace he wipes the dirt from his robes and pauses, licking a point-nailed finger and polishing the arcane orb around his neck. "What list is that? I suppose we made our choice about the question...We may not have learned who built the Old Owl Well tower, but we know who to whom the spellbook Garaele was so interested belonged to; I'm quite keen to find out more about these 'Bowgentle' and 'Tsernoth'. I think we have quite a bit to update the townfolk, and ask them about."

Strix balls up some shade and throws it at the dome making an image of a door in, in the hope that someone Wile E Coyote's into it. But otherwise is ready to move on if the group wills it
Oh aye...we coulda spoke more about what to ask, it's true. Honestly hadn't expected it to simply answer and be done with us. If ya want, we could push our luck... we're better at that then planning. But what's a bollocking dead lady elf ghost interested in having. Know of any dead boy elves we could set her up with?
Incantis ponders the question for slightly longer than one would think necessary, then shakes his head. "Ask one and only one question, and possibly receive a similarly singular answer, an interesting deal. I suppose we should be happy she gave us two names." He turns to Strix wordlessly. "I saw that you know."
And the list, me lad Inky, is jest the list o' ways I expect te die at some point in my delightful adventures ashore with you lot. So I expect I can cross "killed by the withering stare of an undead elf mistress" of that list...lest ye think we're likely te meet another.
Scupper gives a friendly hip check to Incantus' knees and opens his book to continue reading as he follows Vaz towards the camel and travel.
Back to our Phans and Sister Graele for either an explanation or an update. We should probably figure out what te do about or greenskin comrades beforehand. Think the town would be willing to keep em as guard since they hanged the last option?
Dekhan will draw Oggor aside on the way back to town. Oggor, I have a proposition for you; you seem to be hesitant about returning to your lands at this time, I say don’t. Stay here in these lands, forge the bond between Orc and Man, show these people the New Ways, show them they will work.
This is a rare opportunity, the people of Phandalen have been subjugated and abused by their own kind, you can show them that help can come from the Orcs. Our words carry some weight with the elders of the town, we will propose that your boys be integrated into the defense of the town, in return the people of the town will support you lot.
This is what I think you should do, but I will not be your chief much longer. Soon you will be chief, it will be your decision to make. You should know, though, that the choice you make could steer the course of the future of Orckind. Dekhan puts his hand on Oggor’s shoulder. I trust you, Oggor, you are cautious, you are wise, and you have the interests of your people at heart, these are the qualities that make a great leader.Dekhan takes Brughor’s axe from his back and hands it to Oggor. Whatever you choose, I know you will lead with honor and wisdom.

Aye. You and Dekhan sort out what she wants and we'll set about getting it.
Either Incantis or Dekhan, make a Persuasion check at advantage. Not both of you, though - one of you is helping the other.
I’m assisting Incantis here, it’s his rodeo

Was she telling the truth?
As far as Scupper can tell, she was speaking the truth.

Varinth picks himself off the ground, smarting because he landed squarely on his coccyx.
That's gunna leave a bruise. he mutters, rubbing his backside.
I'm all for headin' back to town. Best we get all our information on one table before we decide which course to start with... plus I'm outta booze.
