Eager to get started, Syna charges forwards, simultaneously drawing his blades and kicking through the flimsy door. Carefully avoiding the littered floor, he strides towards the first motionless zombie thrusting his blades into the creature.
Reaching his target, Syna plunges both blades into the beasts shoulders, releasing a fountain of dark liquids from the suddenly awakened corpse. Around the room, the other zombies begin to stir, their murmurings growing louder as Syna withdraws his blades. The Druid glances over his shoulder, expecting the others to follow suit...
OOC: Syna, I cant see because I’m on mobile but I’m assuming you’ve added advantage to your rolls for attacking prone? The 6 has me doubting myself-

Arkhan walks calmly to the of the room. His Tempest Magic swirls gusts of wind around him as he begins to fly landing in the middle of the room, in the middle of the zombies... he raises his sword and shouts a guttural phrase starting in draconic and ending in primordial and he casts thunderwave

OOC: Just trying to work out your spell area Arkhan. Thunder wave takes up a 15ft sided cube and I can’t position you in a square that will give you all three zombies to target... the wording is a bit vague but it looks as if the cube would be formed in front of you rather than around you.
Z2 will be targeted regardless, but could you choose between Z1 and Z3 for your second target?
Remember as well that moving past Z3 will present an opportunity Attack against you - albeit at disadvantage.
(ooc: i thought since it it is range is self, and it says it originates from me i pictured it as a 3x3 cube with the caster in the middle square. i also was curious on your interpretation of tempest magic, it says before or after casting the spell -- whats the window there? can i use my short fly speed to bypass the AoO?
however, if i have to choose two to hit, i'll pick Z2 and Z3 if i can prevent an AoO by not going directly to the middle of the room.)
OOC: The more I think about it it’d make more sense to have it 3x3 around you. Wording for the spell isn’t great but for thunder wave I think a 3x3 cube with you in the centre is probably the most sensible area of effect. Nevertheless I think you’d still struggle to hit the three zombies at once.

Arkhan strides confidently into the smithy, followed by a strange magical gust which swirls around him. With each step the air becomes more intense, seemingly dragged towards the golden dragonborn, lifting him gracefully into the air. The winds continue to whip around, growing darker and more sinister with each passing moment before completely obscuring his body. Suddenly a deep voice calls out in an strange tongue followed by a deafening thunderous boom. A bright flash of light fills the room followed by the raging winds as a blast of intense electrical force spreads from Arkhans position.
Zombie 2 Constitution Save: 12 Zombie 3 Constitution Save: 6 Spell Save DC: 13 Damage to Z2 + Z3: 5
The scattered tools and debris are hurled away in all directions as the blast clears the floor of the smithy, battering the hapless zombies as they stumble to their feet. Outside the explosive boom echoes over the treetops, rumbling away into the distance. In the trees to the west, a flock of blackbirds take flight, startled by the sudden uproar.

Shrieking wordlessly at the intruders, the first of the zombies finally manages to rise to its feet. Stomping erratically forwards, the undead leaps forwards towards Arkhan, scratching madly at the dragonborns golden skin.
Zombie 1 Attack Roll: 8
Lifting an elbow, the dragonborn instinctively shrugs off the attack, sending the zombie stumbling backwards in mid air. A split second later, the second of the zombies launches an attack of its own, slamming its body it's Arkhans chest.
Zombie 2 Attack Roll: 21
This time Arkhan manages to connect a muscled leg into the soft rotting tissue of the approaching zombies stomach, fending off the second attack. Screaming in frustration both zombies gather themselves, snarling at the promise of fresh meat.
Across the room, the third zombie rises to its feet, thick goop still oozing from its side where Syna blades had carved a hole into its side. With a hiss the decomposing creature slashes a handful of pointed claws at the druid in retaliation.
Zombie 3 Attack Roll: 23 (FML)
Syna ducks just in time, managing to avoid the zombies furious swipes. With each mistimed lurch the rotting corpse edges closer. It's foul odour filling Synas nostrils, threatening to empty his stomach.
Brots Attack Roll: 22 Damage to Z1: 5 (Seriously what is wrong with me today!)
Brots hands throb slightly as he finally releases his bow string. Gliding through the broken window, the gnomes arrow plants itself into the zombies shoulder with a sickening thump as it is thrown backwards by Arkhans blow. Pausing briefly to wipe a trickle of sweat from his brow, Brots reaches back for another arrow from his quiver.
Led forward by his trusty morningstar, Zyltris finds his way into the centre of the fray. Passing Syna in the doorway, he swings his weapon sharply downwards, aiming at the skull of the zombie bothering his companion.
Zyltris Attack Roll: 5 Damage: 10
With a crack, Zyltris morningstar burst open the zombies skull, revealing a mush of blackened brain inside. Undeterred the crazed creature swings once its long claws again towards Syna, who effortlessly continues to dodge.
Without warning, a loud distinctly familiar hiss fills the room. The backdoor bursts open as a single twig blight charges in, drawn from the forest by the sudden explosion of sound in the smithy. Dried up roots scratch loudly at the stoned floor as the blight rushes forwards slashing at Arkhan with its long wooden claws.

Parrying a third attack, Arkhan pushes the wooded beast away with a loud snort. Outside the forest rustles with activity as a second blight bursts through the back door, drawn by the commotion.

Serak: Stepping forward to get a better view through the window, Serak fires a bolt at the first Zombie he sees. He then steps back to his original position.

With a heavy handed swipe, Talon carves through the undead creature with ease. The zombies body is sliced into two evenly portioned pieces, falling into the corner of the room. Scanning the room, Beetle selects his next target. Eager to clear the village of these unholy monsters.

Grasping quickly for a second arrow, Brots aims his bow through the broken window. Pulling his bowstring tight, he carefully aims at the same zombie as before (Z1)
Brots Attack Roll: 14 Damage: 10
Finding its mark, a second arrow plunges deep into the zombies side. The creature shrieks in agony, staggering to one side as it reaches for the fresh wound. Brots tightens a fist in his free hand, stretches his arm behind him and reaches for a third arrow.
With the zombie beside him now lying in two even piles in the corner, Syna turns to face the rest of the room. As the room gradually fills with more wooden abominations his rage builds. Channeling his anger, Syna creates a long pointed shard of clear ice in his palm. Timing his aim carefully, the druid raises his arm sharply, sending the blade of ice soaring across the room towards the second blight.
Syna Attack Roll: 23 Damage: 2
The crystal blade strikes the Twig blight squarely in the chest, before exploding into a spray of equally deadly shards.
Shards of ice shatter across the room, slashing all that they touch. Both blights fall to the floor, writhing helplessly as their roots are decimated by the blast. In a short moment, both wooden creatures fall silent, frozen by the intense cold, their lifelines cut short.
A second projectile whizzes into the room as Serak appears briefly in the broken window, his crossbow pointed directly towards the first zombie he sees (Z1)

With a sickening thump, the zombies body takes on a third piercing. The creatures left hand side now sporting several arrow shafts, each oozing with a strange black liquid. Undeterred, the zombie cries out in a wordless language, crouching low as it launches itself back towards Arkhan.
OOC: Arkhan, your turn again. Plenty of targets around you to choose from... Although you're not as surrounded as you would have been!
