Having been looking around the room aimlessly so far, Wren flinches as Darwin falls down beside him. "Nine Hells, not again. Can we not walk in a door and it just be a door? A weird little tree home where some hermit lives or once lived? Gah."
Seeing Andolin's hand pass through the door with no problem, Wren becomes puzzled. He tries to walk out the door.
(OOC: Sorry about inactivity, life is back to normal, I should be posting every day now. Also, if we keep walking in doors and getting trapped, Wren is never going to use a door again :P)
"OH your probably right!" Instead, Playing a hunch. Darwin walks to the shelf and takes the book that no one can read off. Opens it and looks at the pages.

Malenia - [Monk - Way of the Jedi] - Auryn: Princess of Destiny
Moving back the leaves reveals a strange sight.. A body made of dried and aged wood, and curled into a fetal position in pain on its right side. Both hands are clasped to the left side of its face, and its left side bears the marks of burns. Looking closer, beads of amber, as dried blood seemed to have oozed from the creature where it burned. The features of the face and ears appear to be very elven.
About its neck is a necklace with a amulet. The amulet is 4 inches in diameter with a 1 inch green tinged crystal, and it is etched with eight lines from the center out to its edges and cutting into equal slices.
The creature is bald, but a close examination will reveal nubs [not sure if you have ever seen a where a dead offshoot of ivy has died the year after, but that is what I am going for], like broken vines on its head.
The ears are delicate with about three inch points.
The eyes, based on the closed lids, are slightly angular
The nose is medium length and straight
Cheek bones are fine, showing an angular face.
Its torso, is thin but muscular and covered with nubs
As the Amulet settles around Andolin's neck, his eyes widen in surprise and he gasps, the look on his face changing rapidly from pain, to sorrow, to wonder. At the same moment the ceiling begins to lighten like a warm dawn, before giving way to darkness again. The unexploded crystals on the table flicker a couple of times to life before being extinguished and the mirror flickers twice.
Andolin
As the Amulet settles around your neck it creates a connection and you gasp as you feel your lifeforce and magic assaulted with a feeling of hunger. You take 1 point necrotic Constitution damage and use one spell slot.
As your will fights back, you feel shock, confusion through the connection. Then crushing loneliness and loss flood you. Anguish at the loss of a companion from a time measured in eons, at the long slow death which awaits it and the "others", at the fate of the Mistress, of the Evils which has come and the failure to protect.
You sense presence is the Tree, and is and is not Sylvan. It is something even more elemental than the Fey, but there is a tie to the Fey.
As the Tree attempts to commune further with you, for your help it offers its own in returning you Home, and help with destroying the evils which plague what remains of what it was sworn to protect.
The Tree reveals some of the powers of the Amulet, those which you can understand.
What the tree needs in return, is what it has taken from you each day, in order to heal. You will loose 1 point Const and 1 spell point (if avail) at full dark. You will get them back after a long rest.
Second, do I get a sense of where we are? Is it the Feywild?
What time of day is it now?
And lastly, to clarify, I reduce my Con Score (not modifier) by 1 point now, and 1 point at dark, no loss of HP (unless it affects my modifier). I also lose a spell slot, and will again at dark. I regain both after a long rest, but will repeat each day at dark if I am wearing the amulet. Just making sure I understand.

The "Tree" attempts to communicate to you to answer where you are, but the flurry of images and sensations are beyond your ability to understand yet. "No, Sanctuary," is the response that it is finally able to communicate.
Where you are, will be revealed in time, but you ain't in Kansas anymore...
Its' about noon.
Think of it as working like a plant and you the sun. It is drawing a little of your magic and Con throughout the day, so that at full dark it is 1 full point (necrotic) of Con and 1 spell slot. After a long rest you get them back, while the Tree converts the magic and con into healing for itself, like a tree would grow at night. You can give more, if you will, but if you give too much Con at a go it will take more than 1 long rest. And it only affects HP as it effects your modifier. I would have to go back and look, as I don't remember if you took any Con damage in the tavern, but if you drop from 12 Con to 11 Con you lose the +1/Lvl modifier to HP during the night.
You will also need to re-attune to the Amulet everytime you take it off and put it on. So, you take -1 Con and -1 Slot now, and another -1 Con and -1 (level 1) slot after sunset.
Oh, and I don't know if you have ever suffered migraines, but you are going to have the mother of all migraines now. As the Tree learns to dumb things down to your level, the pain of communing with it will subside, until eventually its no more than a dull ache.
Andolin closes his eyes as dull pain seeps into his skull. He breath is shallow and ragged for a moment, then a deep breath to calm himself. He opens his eyes to Horus. “That may not have been wise, but it’s done now. Gather the others, please. I need a moment.” He sits down on the floor for a moment, holding his head.
As he is hearded back inside, Wren notices Andolin's ragged breathing, "What has happened to you? Take that thing off, let us leave here, there is nothing for us."
Andolin shakes his head. “If adventure is what we seek, we have found it I think.”
As the others come in (those who do) he collects himself, stands, and says, “I’m not sure where we are, but it is not home. This tree is very old...eons. This amulet is connected to it in some way, and it is trying to communicate. It is...unclear, but it is very sick. I think there may be others like it, or perhaps they are gone now, and there was a feeling of great evil that plagues something it was sworn to protect, presumably this land. It wants us to help, and in return it offers to send us home.”
Andolin pauses. “It is using my life force, and limited magic abilities to augment it’s own, trying to heal itself. It’s manageable, but not comfortable to say the least. I’m alright for now though.”
Continuing on, he says, “There is some power in this amulet that will enhance some of my abilities. I think I may be able to read the book to see if offers more clues, and there is something that will allow me to see things unseen, and some other things...where is the book?”
He will take the book from anyone who offers it, cast Comprehend Languages using the amulet, and try to read it.
The spine of the book reads "The Web of Realities".
Most of the ink is faded and unreadable, but as you read, you realize it is a journal of sorts,.
"That I was selected to bind in symbiosis with little more than a sapling, and selected almost immediately to be a Companion to the Yew Guardian, admitted to the Mystery was a wonder to the others. For what purpose did the Mistress select one so young as myself. Time will time."
"The old Companion has passed, and the spirits have returned to the Realities outside the Sanctuary.. The first .................... was an experience beyond all preparations. I Understand know the ......."

":.... grows concerned of events in Toril. The web trembles at the loss of the controlling spirits, forced to walk powerless upon the world."
"Lormalin has felt the vibrations from Toril and is thrown in Chaos. Cataclysms have split the planes and devastated the world. The Mistress wonders what else can happen, though she and the Ancients try to dampen the ripple....."

Andolin takes some time to think, then goes and puts the amulet on that Darwin removed, mumbling to himself about “the damned Feywild.”
As the Amulet settles around Andolin's neck, his eyes widen in surprise and he gasps, the look on his face changing rapidly from pain, to sorrow, to wonder. At the same moment the ceiling begins to lighten like a warm dawn, before giving way to darkness again.
