You are in a large clearing dominated by the Guardian, on the far side of the meadow the remains of an old, overgrown road runs roughly north/south. The woods surrounding the meadow are passable once you get past the shrubs and bramble at the edge, being an old growth forest.
Except for the occasionally irritating insect, you make your way through the woods, with Andolin leading you generally westward along animal trails. Despite the shade, the day grows warm and humid. A little before noon, the trail you are following leads you down a stream which flows roughly west. On the other side of the stream, you can see a country road running roughly parallel.
The road continues on until late afternoon, when the forest gives way to mixed grasslands and corpse of trees. Trees and bramble line the stream.
A couple of hours before sunset, you come upon a cluster of three peasant cottages off the road, the soil around them has been tilled, and smoke rises through the roof. Several children are outside playing, but at the sight of you they point and then run into the house. As come even with the path leading to the cottages, a man armed with a sickle and two young adult men with pitchforks emerge from the home the children ran too,
Seraphina had been mostly silent since the group set off again, keeping to herself as they travelled. Part of her silence was down to still feeling out of place within the group and partly down to confusion as to what exactly all these strange happenings meant.
The arrival of the three men, armed with what she assumed was some sort of farming gear given the fact it was a sickle and pair of pitchforks, spiked her curiosity.
"We mean you no harm. As our companion said, we're lost and we just need some directions" She says gently, inclining her head towards the man's sickle. "Have you been encountering some sort of trouble?"

The only thing I will do, before setting out in the morning or before resting is try to get a sense of a direction to head from the Guardian.
It shows you a vision of the rising sun over a forest.

Andolin will suggest to the others that we head east through the forest, once everyone is roused and ready to go.
“You have whatever connection this is. We’ll follow.”

If no one has objections:

“Directions would be helpful. We’ve been lost for some time. Where are we? Which way to get to the nearest town?”
