"Well that's a problem because my friend did get shot with that arrow. So you're going to tell us everything you can remember about these 'funny looking folks' at the bar. Do you know names? Can you give us a description? How were they dressed? What is the name of this bar and where can we find it?"
“The holy path says there should be mercy. we should let them live but we must punish them for their sin. Let’s tie them up and leave them here and if it’s the divines will then they shall survive.” Rhogar says with a indifferent shrug. “Or we could leave it up to tuariel bc she was the injured party? She may not be so understanding unless you help us.”
"I sure wil sir, I sure will. You're gonna let me go right. I can describe em fur ya fur sure but i aint heard no names. They was wierd looking with real funny eyebrows and they had tails. Tails! I swear its true sir. They was in Dippi's place just up the ways a bit. It's less than a days walk. You are gonna let me go aint ya. I swear I'll never do nothin like this again! I swear!" You can see he is truly terrified.
Oslamir helps the two men to their feet, hands them each some of the extra food he packed from breakfast and says to the party, "I won't judge these men for doing what they had to do to survive." Turning back to the two men, "...but I will hold on to the rest of your arrows, just in case you get any ideas about trying this again any time soon."
"I will leave their fate up to the rest of you but I would ask that you have mercy. Their friend is dead and I don't believe they will try anything like this again." With that, Oslamir walks a short distance away and finds a spot to sit and practice his lute until everyone is ready to depart.
Tauriel walks over after having recovered all of her gear with both hands holding the greataxe handle resting on her shoulders.
"Hey um, I'm okay with letting you all go. Also, we've had some bad winters back on the farm but we've always treated stealing as wrong. Luckily, your friend that I killed didn't even hit me see?" she says while rotating and showing the bandit her body.
"But before you do that, any of you have extra waterskins?" Tauriel asks. She gestures to the blood dripping from her horns into her hair. "Mind sharing to clean some of this up? I hate getting blood in my hair because it gets all crusty and the horns get yellow."
Tauriel looks up and smiles as the blood drips onto the ground.
Milo hands you a waterskin and takes off his shirt handing it you "Here, please, use this! Thank you, thank you, I'm very sorry, thank you" He bows repeatedly then grabs his friends arm and tears off through the woods.
Vail looks down at his right hand and notices it has a slight tremble. Sure he has trained, and fought fisticuffs, and even been in a sword fight before, he’d never cut a man away running like he would have done to a deer. He takes a deep breath and begins to accept the path his life has suddenly turned on. “You really want to let them go? They’ll just go off and do it again, and to a weaker victim next time. I hardly trust a man, especially one that attempted to kill us.” Vail says and walks over as he wipes his bloody longsword on his leather pants. “Your choice, doesn’t affect me.”
As you're looking at your hand trembling you're remembering other times in your life when your hands were trembling. You take a breath and push the memories aside and steady your hands but are left with an uneasy feeling.
Ooc: haha uh oh. Here comes substance abuse. Drinking less than 6 shots, so no save for liquid courage right? What about smoking? Can my guy also smoke? :-P
Vail in slings his backpack, takes out a small glass bottle and takes a deep pull of some grain alcohol. He slips the bottle back into the backpack before pulling out a satchel of tobacco, thin parchment, a some tidnking, and flint and steel. He properly rolls a neat cigarette before lighting the kindling with the flint and steel and has a smoke.
”Drink? Smoke anyone?”
he looks Tordal right in the eye, seeing if his old friend will cast any judgement.
”Tordal is right. I think we’ve wasted some time here and need to make to Ockho. Now that Oslamir here let those bandits go I’m sure they’ll be back on us sooner rather than later.”
Tauriel shakes her hair dry and feels refreshed. The bandit's shirt is a little large on her but she doesn't mind. Tauriel goes up to Vail and swipes a drink from his alcohol.
You don't need a check you can search them. They don't have any weapons that are any better than any of yours. You find 2cp tucked in ones boot and a small pouch of tobacco and a bone pipe. One of them is wearing a small brass key around his neck.
We are wasting our time with these bandits. They must be made to atone for their sins and then let us be on our way to Okcho.

Confused as to why he was so scared, Tauriel shrugs and puts on the shirt. She goes to the side of the road and rinses off.

ooc: yup no saves needed for liquid courage, you're on the other end, at risk of withdrawal. Yes, tobacco is prevalent.

"Don't mind if I do Mr. Vail."
Ooc: DM while we’re waiting and I’m enjoying this smoke, can i do an check to loot the bandits maybe? Maybe they have a couple of coins?

"You're back go your old ways, I see. I thought you had given up searching for answers in bottles" Toldar said with a frown on his face.
"What is that?" He quickly followed, pointing to the brass key as Vail fun through the bandits belongings.
