oh no I’m not very stealthy today

Vail climbs down with confidence, especially becuause he has Estes and Saada belaying him. As he climbs he has hazardly knocks down rocks as he tires to match Tauriels pace. “****” he mutters to himself as a sizeable rock clatters down the shaft wall. He looks up and gives his belayers a thumbs up.

(ha!) A couple things happen. Vail not being so stealthy but climbing fine does knock some rocks down as he climbs. As they go tumbling down the shaft clattering against the wall every now and then the dark dwarf leans his head into the shaft and looks down after the falling rocks.

Perception:4

He then looks up and sees... nothing out of the ordinary. He leans back into the shaft and lights up his pipe.

(you folks are Luuuuucky! LOL)

Ooc: haha!

How much farther until I’m down? Does the 100ft of rope reach? I say we kill this guy!

"I will go next. I will need the rope though, what Tauriel did is unnatural..."

"I'm trying to figure out how she did that with hooves." Saada commented, looking at her own draconian feet. "She's like a mountain goat."

Tauriel looks up at the group with a look of 'why are you taking so long?'.

She gestures with a finger to her lips and points inside the tunnel she is stopped at before climbing a little bit higher and drops to catch the bottom ledge of the tunnel.

"Ack! You there, Mr. Dwarf, help me I accidentally fell down the hole and just barely caught the ledge. I might fall."

So there's a couple things going on.

Vail: The dark dwarf is about 30' down in a side tunnel. That's still 30' from the bottom. You can get to the side tunnel but you might blow up Tauriel is doing.

Tauriel: He doesn't understand what you're saying but gets a sense of urgency from your voice and putting away his pipe puts his hand out to help you to where he's standing.

Up top: Tordal: Vail is still on the rope but you move yourself to a ledge in the shaft in preparation and realize the climb doesn't seem so bad for you. Your checks are good. You could do it without the rope if you'd like.

Vail moves himself to ahold and waits to see what Tauriel is up to trying to stay hidden in the shadows of a ledge above him.

ooc: sorry I could’ve sworn I posted! Am I able to take the rope off?

"I think we need to secure this rope.  Something is going on. "

You're able to find a place to hang on and get the rope off.

"I'll head down first to get an idea of what happening." Saada will start making her way down the rope.

Saada: Give me an athletic/acrobatic check and a stealth check. Depending on how it comes out we'll wait on Tauriel or continue.

Everyone else. You can for sure tell that something is going on. Especially after seeing a small greyish hand come out of one of the tunnels to offer Tauriel a hand.

(Infernal) "Hey" ,(druidic) "excuse me ", (elvish) "you there"

Switching back to common. " I see an extra hand can someone fill me in"

OOC: Does the acrobatics pass?

Saada it does, you'll have no problem climbing, and the you're stealthy as well. We're going to have to wait on Tauriel though because Estes calling out is going to affect things.

She takes the man's hand and says "Thank you." in both Common and Minotaur, hoping he can understand her.

She pauses for a moment hearing the others shuffling and tries to ask the man if they could walk slightly further away from the edge, while she also tries to cover the fact that the rope behind her is moving.

Tauriel: You're not sure if he understand you but nods his head and says something you don't understand. It sounds somewhat like common but you can't make it out. He makes some gestures you take to mean to follow him as he starts walking down the tunnel. Looking behind to see if you're following.

Feeling pretty confident, Tordal begins descending after Vail without using the ropes.
