"Sundabar was falling behind us while we were heading here. Fumbles gave himself that we could continue and as a way to slow down the advancing Slaadi. Our strength does not yet match these creatures but if keep moving we may keep our lead on them. The sooner all this magic business is over the better." Gruun walks over to the portal pausing for the moment remembering the last time he went through a portal, he proclaims "Dumb Luck" in a loud voice.
Zane finishes insulting the corpse of the slaad, then picks it apart piece by piece, using his dagger if need be. "******* thing kept changing his form.. what if there's... like another layer inside here. I NEED TO SLEEP, but this bloody bastard just HAD TO keep me awake, didn't he."
Eventually he calms down enough and goes back to follower mode, hoping to rest at the moment it's safe.
"Should we bring its corpse with us for proof though? I mean what's left of it..."
Hox nods, "Neck thing go boom. Man in man gave Gruun a paper, help with magic door?" Hox looks to Gruun as he walks on back. "Can magic door take us away from city?"
At Gruun's mention of the command word, the swirling energy of the portal expands, filling the entire wall of the cavern and replacing it with the shimmering image of what looks to be a warehouse. Roccar's eyes go wide, and he stares at the bugbear in disbelief, then simply nods and says, "After you."
Killian steps through safely. She can be seen faintly through the arcane energy of the portal, standing in the midst of the large room beyond. Zane soon follows, and similarly appears like a reflection on the other side of the portal.
Roccar glances again through the monocle at the half-elf, then at Gruun and Hox out of habit, before nodding. "Yes, he is not a slaad. At this point, that is good enough," he says, beckoning the remaining members of the party forward. The half-elf quietly and cautiously moves through the portal himself.
Hox picks up his dagger and heads to the portal. He looks to his ring and shrugs, "Good enough, take shinies next time here." He goes through the portal.
With one last look at the slaad corpse, Roccar follows Hox and Gruun through the portal.
Emerging from the warehouse, you find yourselves in the port city of Luskan. Roccar swears you to secrecy and gathers payment for your help in preventing the slaadi from finding the portal, giving the party 2000 gold pieces in total.
Sundabar, possibly the most well fortified city in Faerûn, has been lost to the slaadi.
OOC: 500 gold pieces have been added to each character's inventory.
Killian says, "I would be quit of this city, if this portal is the route, then so be it."
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.

Killian shakes her head. "Best not chance it. Leave it here. All of it," she looks at Hox.

Killian will put out a hand to stop the others, and step through first. "Follow if it seems safe," she says.

Zane will wait until Killian crosses over. If it seems safe for like a minute or so then he'll follow.
Hox looks around for the child they had picked up along the way. "Can silent child come too?"

Gruun spits in the direct of the slaadi, heaves a great sigh when looking to the portal, and heads through.
