OOC: The speed with which two of them tore through Fumbles and the size of them compared to the red slaadi Killian saw would indicate you might be able to take a couple of them, but a half dozen would be a suicide mission.
Zane will instead motion the others to prepare everything and to move out. He will then cast Invisibility on himself and follow them (move + dash) out of the bubble.
OOC: One dagger has been removed from Hox's inventory.
The party hastily packs up and leaves the slaadi to wonder on the other side of the seemingly stone hut while Zane makes himself invisible and Hox leaves a dagger in the door's way. Murmurs and mutterings can be heard from the slaadi as Killian leads the way further into the tunnel.
You soon find the tunnel filled with debris, and find yourself picking your feet up and over large rocks and rubble to get through. At points, the tunnel narrows to an uncomfortable distance, almost too narrow for the larger party members to fit through. It is painstakingly slow and uncomfortable, but you still seem to be ahead of any slaadi pursuit.
After nearly an hour, the corridor widens to a comfortable width and you are once again stopped by a newly built stone wall. Gruun has not seen any writing appear on the scrap of paper.
Knowing the layout of the last door, Gruun quickly finds the switch, in a different location than the last, that triggers this door to slide open as well. The stone rumbles into the wall, and the dust settles revealing that the tunnel continues, then begins to wind in the distance.
The tunnel begins to take a long, maze-like route. Though the passage is still difficult to traverse and filled with rubble, it does not close in on you as it did before, simply winding and twisting many times over the next hour. It straightens for a moment, until you are once again stopped by a newly built stone wall that blocks your passage.
Silence fills the cavern as the party begins to feel the weight of the journey. Rocks falling and shifting can be heard from far behind you in the tunnel.
OOC: Who is leading the way through? The wall is still closed in front of you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gruun Perception: 18
Gruun pores over this blockade once again. This time, the surrounding walls don't seem to have a similar switch hidden among them. After a moment of searching, just as he is about to give up, he looks up to the ceiling and notices it; a small lever built into the stone, cleverly hidden among the shadows. With a leap, the gangly bugbear pulls it down, and the stone wall rumbles along its track to hide among the stone once more.
Killian leads the way further into the tunnel, which seems slightly brighter than the path behind you. Where before your darkvision only showed you grey, hints of brown color in the walls begin to work their way into your vision. As you round a bend, Killian nearly trips over a figure crouching in the shadows. To your surprise, it is the small half-elf from the slums, thought to have been left behind in his shock. He glances up at the party silently, his face still showing more shock than fear.
OOC: Baggage? This is a "social encounter" mechanic within the adventure, where the way the characters feel and respond to the situation can greatly determine the direction the story takes. How does each character respond to the situation, in either first or third person?
Zane is at the last dregs of his ability to function, just stumbling on behind Killian. He does perk up a bit when they see another figure though. He quickly pulls out his monocle to check them out and look around.

OOC: Ok, cool.

Killian
She's already ready already and will lead the way after Zane disappears. She will Move+Dash as well.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Hox sticks one of his daggers in between the sliding door and the floor then follow the group quietly.
Gruun does a quick sweep to try and remove any trace of their pause and passage. Perception: 19
He will then quickly follow the group keeping the scrap of paper in hand and checking it every now and then.

Killian
She waves her sword at the wall in a vague manner. "Someone open this, like before."

Gruun takes out his dagger and begins working on the wall trying to find a switch similar to the previous door.

Onward! Close it behind us!

Hox this time takes a rock and stuffs it between the door and the floor.
Zane is *exhausted*, but keeps up with the party. There is no way other than forward.

"Hox...feel like been here or like it...Like tomb." Hox scratches an X onto the floor with his dagger. "Goes too long, we are very deep in tunnels."

Killian will lead, if someone else will open the door.

Third times the charm, Gruun will try a third time to open the door and will walk through behind Killian.
