Kif opens the door. At this angle, you can see an elaborate feast laid out on a table, not yet touched. Delicious aromas of roast meat and spices overwhelm you. Barnaby, thinking back on the food in the pantry, it didn't smell like anything. This is something different.
The clinking of silver and the quiet conversation immediately cease. You cannot see the entire table and/or room from where you are currently standing, though, and you don't see anything other than the feast upon the table.
The table is set for eight, the feast appears to include some sort of red meat, likely venison, slow roasted. There are two different platters with poultry, and a platter of spiced and roasted potatoes. Several trays around the long table are piled high with dinner rolls. You still can't quite see the near corners of the room, but there doesn't appear to be anybody here.
Everyone who enters the room - and you may all move your tokens into the room - please give me a Perception check.
I took the liberty of moving Puddin and Barnaby into the room, based on where I thought they would be based on what's been posted and based on past behavior. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
The dining room is lovely and just a little creepy, like the rest of the house. The banquet is as I described it: opulent, delicious-looking - now you see a covered platter in the shape of a fish - and you can feel the warmth coming off of the hot food, along with the delicious aromas.
The walls of the room have the same intricate carvings as the main hall. Trees, dryads, flowers, and so on, interwoven with subtle carvings of snakes and skulls. The wall behind Fope - the wall where the doors are - is also decorated with several beautiful hanging tapestries.
A couple things are going to happen. First of all, Fope notices - perhaps because he's closest to it - that one of the hanging tapestries is actually a robe, and not a proper tapestry. It is a gorgeous deep scarlet and, he notices as he brushes against it - quite thick. It is not as delicate as it appears.
Fope contemplates the robe for a moment when, along with everyone but Ireena (who did not quite get into the room), he is overcome by a crashing wave of hunger. Everybody roll a Wisdom save.
You've now noticed that, when you leave a room, the door closes softly behind you. So far as you've been able to tell, the doors remain unlocked.
I decided to leave the explored areas of the map illuminated, though. Just so you can see where you've been. I may or may not change that in the future.
Barnaby, Puddin, and Ireena watch in horror as Kif and Fope rush the table, grabbing mouthfuls of food and stuffing themselves directly from the trays. Both are acting as if they haven't eaten in two days; both are grabbing food with both hands and tearing meat from bone, spraying gravy and stew across the table as they shove food into their mouths.
Barnaby and Puddin become even more troubled when the illusion covering the table falls away, and they realize that what they are looking at is not the magnificent feast it appeared to be: meat and fish rotted, covered in maggots. Stale rolls, with weevils everywhere upon them. Everything is foul, and Kif and Fope appear to be none the wiser. They are stuffing themselves.

Kif steps into the room, just a square in, with his ax high
Hello?

You notice that there is also a plate with some kind of stewed cabbage. :)

Barnaby will peer in the door, but not step into the small hallway until Puddin and Fope have gone in in front of him.
Ireena crowds you from behind, leaning over top of you to get a look as well.

Ok, cool.
