Barnaby looks around for a pail or garbage can. If he fails to find one he will, seeing the door blocked, vomit in whatever space he can find where he doesn’t need to tread through puddles of blood and preferably not splatter anyone’s shoes.
There are three nested buckets, near Barnaby's end of the workroom. They are probably used for transporting tools and small pieces of hardware, when necessary. Barnaby throws up on, in, and around all three of them, thus offering his own contribution to the room's atmosphere.
We came here at the request of Father Petrovich, of St Andral's. Apparently the bones of the saint were stolen and following the trail led us to this house. Hendrik had stolen the bones, we know not why. He told us they were upstairs, so the three of us motioning to Lucento and Barnaby went to retrieve them. We though this one, Føpé, was behind us. We found the bones, right where Hendrik said they were, without incident and came back downstairs to this horrendous scene. We don't know more than that and you arrived here just before we came down the stairs.
Føpé looks around bleary eyed, then toward the constables. Honored warriors, I got scared when Henrik wouldn't talk to us. A demon came out of a boy this morning. It was at the orphanage. Føpé pigs up Revenge and holds him tight.
I thought, …, I liked killing the zombies. My brother, you see? And then the demon came out of the boy.
Føpé looks at what’s left of the body. Strokes Revenge.
But there was no demon here. I thought. … I submit myself to your justice.
Føpé kicks his sword away, and disarms himself of his remaining weapons, and passes Revenge to Kif if he'll take him.
Ay, so Father Petrovich will confirm your story? Very well. She turns to one of her companions. You, go fetch the wolf. She kneels down behind Fope, and begins tying him up. Do you mind holding him steady a moment longer? Almost done. We'll get to the bottom of this. Assuming you comply, she has fastened Fope's hands behind his back and wound his upper body in rope. She uses the tail end of the rope to tie his ankles to each other, as well, with enough space to allow him to walk. Running would be hard.
You're staying at the Blue Water Inn, I take it? Assuming you acknowledge it, she nods. We'll talk to Father Petrovich, and make other inquiries. Don't leave town. We might have questions for you, about this one - she glances down at Fope - or about other things.
Nadalanta hoists all of Fope's things onto her own back, and carries his scimitar in her free hand. She and one guard each grab one of Fope's shoulders and pull him to his feet; the third guard has Revenge tucked under one arm (rather roughly), and the other arm holding his mouth shut.
They appear ready to march him right out of here. Anybody have anything else to add?
. . . and Fope gets hauled off, with another guard carrying Revenge. What do you do? Straight to the temple, off to the inn, go snoop around the creepy coffin makers workshop some more, or what?
Well today took an unexpected turn. Let's get these bones back to the church before sunset, see if the good Father can reconsecrate them and get them back to work protecting the folks
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Barnaby, after emptying his stomach, made valiant efforts to speak up and interact with the town guards and his companions, but every time he opened his mouth his mind would just start spinning circles round itself. ‘How could I have befriended a monster such as that? I trusted him. Should I trust anyone? Is Kif okay? Lucento?’ The thoughts keep whirling.
By the time he gets his head together, the guards have left with the shell of Fope. Um...uh...n-no Kif. We need to search this place. We need to understand why he wanted the bones. What was he going to do with them? Barnaby begins to pick methodically through the contents of the entire building in a bit of a fervor. Investigation: 8 with his inspiration if I have it, which I believe I do: 17
Edit: as poor as those rolls are, they should each be 2 lower. I gave myself proficiency, which I don’t have.

Blue: More to come.

Kif is aghast. Bold: fope, what have you done
he moves quickly to restrain Fope. To grapple him, using that inspiration 20.
21 Best of those (sorry, phone is tough)
I will allow that PVP roll in this unusual situation.
Fope, if you wish, you may oppose the grapple check with an athletics or acrobatics check (your choice). Or you may submit.
Føpé will submit.
Why couldn't he just talk to us? I guess he didn't have a demon. Føpé whispers as his mind tries to impose order on the violence that came upon him.
Hello Kif. I'd assumed you'd find something to fight upstairs. I would have come, but I had to get the blood off my shirt for the party.
One of the guards, a young woman, says something to one of the others, who then runs off. Three guards step into the room.
The young woman steps forward. Dwarf, I am Nadalanta, of the Vallaki City Guard. You will kindly explain what is happening here.
Their weapons are drawn, but not raised.
edit: She said "dwarf," addressing Kif, but of course anybody may speak.
By the way, I hope you all have seen the updated room on Roll20.
Should we ask for a lawyer?
Hah!
Lucento quietly waits for one of the other party members to speak; perhaps Barnaby or Kif has a better explanation for what's happened.

Go with them Føpé, let them help you
Nadalanta, are we free to take the bones back to the Father, or would you like to?
I cross posted with Fope. The guards accept the offered equipment, but also seize Revenge and search and restrain Fope, as indicated.
Nadalanta peers into the bag, but clearly has no idea what to make of them. “You may take them. Don’t leave Vallaki.”

It's late afternoon, right?

It wouldn’t look right looting the dead guy’s place while he’s lying in a pool of blood and we’ve professed our innocence
