Jorin laughs and says, " I thought you were going to say to purchase him for the menu, ha! A betentacled, and obedient, creature would make for a good server. Might drum up some business too. I approve of this business decision, but I think you should do the negotiating."
Jorin then walks over to Hildigrim. He puts a hand on the halfling's shoulder and looks down at him, "You seem not yourself, my friend. Take this, " Jorin says and pulls a handaxe from his belt before handing it to Hildigrim."I made this myself, it's edge is as a true a friend as you are. Remember yourself, and your hairy toes."
"This creature is imprisoned and enslaved," Quillary mutters darkly. Does the cage have an obvious lock?
(I'd say yes.)
Drusk: "Stay focused on why we came here. Someone with better social skills than me should ask around, if anyone was around here earlier when (the female Drow) Cory’bant’ex was dragged away. That is assuming the information from Tasselgryn was accurate."

Hildigrim's eyes fight to break away from the roper as Jorin speaks to him about (and hands him) the handaxe. The halfling looks at the weapon for a moment before turning his eyes up to the human's face. "Jorin, it's a beautiful work of fine craftsmanship, but I ... well, I don't need it," he says bluntly. "It's counterintuitive for me to start engaging in hand-to-hand combat. I do my best work from a distance where I can avoid most attacks. Are you trying to get me killed?" He thoughtlessly puts the weapon back in Jorin's large palm and returns to scrutinizing the caged creature. "I'll stick to my bow."
Jorin smiles at Hildigrim, "Of course Hildi, you are much more apt with your bow, but you misunderstand. You seem ill at ease. Having a friend's blade at your side, the weight of it on your belt, will remind you of all we have done together and, perhaps, it puts your mind more at ease." He turns of the grip of the axe back towards Hildigrim and offers it once again.
Drusk scratches his head before replying to Quillary. "The roper is a rather malevolent being (OOC: neutral evil monstrosity). I don't see the "good" in unleashing such a creature in an setting unfamiliar to it (middle of town), or how it will benefit the townspeople it will prey on (before someone slaughters it).
"However... You are right, that there is not much good to be done in a place called Skullsport, ruled by rival gangs vying for power. I'll do what I can to get us back to the freedom of Waterdeep above, sooner rather than later."
Durquin and his helpers have already put a tarp over the cage, and are loading it into a wagon. They appear to be done with the demonstrations for today, and are preparing to move on.

(The party went to Lower Skullsport, to the Hired Horrors demonstration. The informant elderly lady said she heard that the Drow courier with the key was abducted around there. Volo was told to go back to the house.
Hildigrim wanted to give Volo enough time to tail the nimblewright courier, before using magic to dismiss/resummon the owl. Up to you if you want to do that now, or wait longer. Or you could head back to that house to meet the owl there, although you did hear a lot of people headed in that direction.)
The only urgency right now is finding witnesses to the abduction. If you are waiting for the HH and the crowd to leave, then there probably isn't a reason to stay in Lower Skullsport.)

(I am confused about one thing in particular: the drow courier turned out to be a nimblewright dressed as a drow, right? Or is there a thought that the nimblewright is standing in for the real courier somehow? (You have a name for the courier with the key: Cory’bant’ex. You know she is a Drow courier, from people who have met her or worked with her previously.
In this recent encounter, you saw someone/something dressed like a Drow courier, being chased by Xanathar thugs. The party suspected it might be related to the courier you wanted, or might even be her... it wasn't. It turned out to be a Drow construct, but you didn't know that until your fight was over... Hildigrim sent Volo to follow the nimblewright courier, just in case there are more clues to uncover.
OOC: By design, the nimblewright was supposed to get away completely, so it can't have module-vital information. On the other hand, since my plans were thwarted by the owl, I will reward your cleverness at some point.)

As the cage is enveloped by the tarpaulin, the spell over Hildigrim seems to break. He looks around nervously before looking back at Jorin's once-again proffered axe. He takes the axe and smiles up at the human. "Thanks, Jorin." He slides the blade into his belt. "I just can't shake the feeling that we're being watched. I'm ready to be rid of this place."
