Noticing Necey inspecting the room, Golver would sit up in his bed and survay their quarters... looking for anything different from the day before. Perception 7
Whilst settling down Caerlan first sits himself in the middle of the room and begins to carry out a ritual to detect forms of magic his hands moving in mystical passes as he repeat short arcane phrases, adjusting the inflections and cadence of his speech again and again. After carrying out the ritual he studies the room for signs of magical activity.
The robes light up as does the magic carpet (I assume y'all smuggled it out but didn't RP it so...) But nothing else in the room seems remotely magical.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
While Necey is sitting quietly in the room she takes a few moments to herself, concentrating on the earth spirits. She slows her breathing and focuses on different creatures she has crossed paths with. "Wolf..? No, not yet. Don't want to scare anyone... Horsey? Too big... Spid - NOPE!" She continues going through various other animals in her mind until, "...Ferrett? Those are kinda cute!" She focuses on trying to squeeze her form into that of a ferret...
OOC - Caerlan also pilfered the wand and the potion/vial/whatever and the journal form the desk but the excitement of Golver getting caught by the librarian sort of drew that bit to a close quicker than I'd anticipated. Sorry I wasn't clearer in my post. Can he also include those items in the detect magic ritual please?
Looking incredulously at the choice of ferret Caerlan slowly moves away from Necey whilst maintaining a fixed smile throughout, pulling out the journal he found in the drawer he sits cross-legged on his bed and looks over it, the language is unclear so he prepares another ritual this time to understand the mysterious language.
OOC: Those too light up as I said but they don't identify them!
The journal is a mix of gibberish and abyssal. Phrases repeat "the door will open" and "we will know all that is unknown" and pages of "I will cheat dead as it has cheated me" are the only intelligible things beyond a couple necromancer spells such as false life, ray of enfeeblement; blight. Nothing else in thw journal doesn't make sense as if written by a lunatic!
OOC: Never heard them called that, but sure... Also, this would have been during her watch pretty much at the beginning, not sure if Caerlan would have seen. She would not have waited for him to go to sleep though.
"Oh well it can wait until morning or at least until they change the watch". Caerlan says to himself as he settles into position to watch over the others whole they rest.
