"Necey Beebalm," the halfling says in a bit of a huff. "Well, you certainly seem to have a knack for sneaking around this place." She moves to pull the half drow inside the room. Before closing the door she peeks her head out I to the hall to see that no one else is skulking about.
"I have to sneak around to find anything out,' Aryalaris exclaims with a frown. "I only graduated last year but ever since my aunt Sona returned....things have been odd around here to say the least," the young half-elf says looking anxiously around the dorm room. "You know I think my friend Talius was in this room first term...," he trails off with a somber smile. "He died in services to the school a month after graduation," he explains frowning.
"I Think that... librarian... is up to no good" Golver would say with a snarl. "She was quick to dismiss our claims of a conspiracy and then I saw her whispering intensely to... YOU" The dragonborn would exclaim while reaching forward and grabbing Aryalaris's robes with his large silver scaled hand before pulling him close. "What were the two of you discussing... friend?" Golver would say with anger seething from in-between his sharp barred teeth.
"Oh... Sorry about your friend," Necey says sincerely as she closes the door. "Golver! Hold on now!"The halfling tries to interpose herself between the two. "I thought they weren't seeing eye-to-eye on whatever they were discussing." Taking a breath to calm herself, "And keep your voice down. No need to let everyone else around here know what we're up to."
(I know you didn't describe it as such, but in my head, it seemed like a matter of difference of opinion.)
Lifting Ary off the floor Golver snarls his questions as Necey forces her small body between the boys.
"This is not the way to make an ally," Ary says unafraid of the dragonborns rough handling or his hard talk. "Listen to your companion or this will be the last time I help," he adds frowning.
OOC: What? I definitally took it as they were plotting something lol
Golver will hold the the half-drow in the air, locking eyes with Aryalaris. "I have lost friends as well... and I don't want to lose anymore..." Golver would snarl as he quickly glances to his companions before his eyes return to the drow. "So why should we trust you and how can you help us?" Golver would say as he extends his arm to ensure he will not drop the drow on Necey before releasing the robe and dropping Aryalaris. The dragonborn would then walk over towards the fireplace , placing his hand on the hearth and leaning heavily against the stone. Staring into the flames for a moment, before slowly turning his head to watch the drow... a look of anger and desperation showing on his face.
"Nothing. There's nothing to make me trust you either with my family's conundrum," Ary replies straighten up his robes. "I am taking as big a risk if not more trusting you," he adds! "I stopped my aunt from pushing for your expulsion for starters but please doubt me if you must," he adds looking disappointed. "I came to you all for help. No one! Not another group found what you did together! Everyone else who wasn't in the drinking hall this evening left or was disqualified! None if them noticed anything off, he explains next looking worried. "They aren't confident in the other teams but yours....and well you did get their attention," he adds curtly.
Golver would remain leaning against the stone mantle above the fireplace and rub his scaly brow with his free hand. "I... apologize for lodging a dagger into your stomach..." he would grumble just barley audible enough to be heard by the others in the room. "I... I'll leave the rest of the talking to you all" Golver would say as he takes his hand from his brow and motions to his friends.
"And quite right they should be paying us attention, creme de la creme, that's us, could see it from the start, well I mean there was the thing with the hanging upsidedown vomiting but I mean who hasn't done that at some point in their life? Eh? Caerlan by the way, although I'm sure you've heard it enough recently when you've been talking about the ones with most potential, no no don't answer, don't want to put you on the spot."

Kat blinks, glancing around, then frowns. "Anyway...you said you came to us to ask for help. What do you need help with?" She takes a few spare gears and wires out of her pocket and starts fitting them together absently.
"I was sorry about that. My grandfather Dumat's laboratory is there abouts and I heard voices but until now I didn't realize it was other students," Aryalaris explains. " Sorry! Where are my manners! Aryalaris Caelano," he then says making all you can imagine is a deep bow before you but all you can see if his bobbing head! "Please what are your names again," he then asks curiously violet eyes twinkling.
OOC: Is Dumat the name of his grandfather, and also the name of the current headmaster who is also his mom?
The halfling's nose wrinkles at something the Ary says, then the ponders for a moment. "So... You said you're auntjust came back? She made it sound like that she'd been here for a while. Where'd she get back from?"
OOC: That'd be correct but the Dumat who founded the school is the daughter, not the father (Ary's grandfather) however. I'll say y'all got an intro to school history at your orientation. Any more questions?
"She's a founder along with my mother but she's been gone for years until a few months ago! Well I mean she's been gone as long as I've been alive," Ary answers. "She was looking for an artefact. Actually, it's kind of a family legend. My grandfather Dumat wanted to found the school when he broke away from the Caelano Dynasty. My grandfather believed all magical learning should be shared and not squandered in the Underdark. We're all follows of Eilistraee here. Well, the drow at least," he explains smiling as he removes a talisman that was tucked in his clothing and showing it to the party.
Ary seems proud of the symbol and now that you have seen it you recall several places where it was mixed among the decor.
"I don't know where she was," he then adds sincerely. "The Underdark perhaps? I've never been but my mother insists its nowhere I belong," he adds with furrowed eyebrows. "I don't know a lot about her. There are rumors her and my mother fought but they seemed to have made up," he adds.
Aryalaris has a sunny disposition and if not from the sinister tales of Drow you've heard you would think he was just a handsome young man trying to make the best of his lot. Showing you his symbol he inadvertently reveals a pan pipe tucked in his leather tunic armor too but he covers it.
Golver would nod to Kat and then speak up still leaning against the fireplace. "Yes.. Kat is right. What can the four of us.. .who you said had the attention of the masters and were being watched very closely... and locked in our rooms at night now apparently... " The dragonborn would say before calming himself down and continuing. "What can we do that you yourself... with the ability to sneak around invisibly and the knowledge of the locations of secret tunnels and rooms.... cannot do..."
"Find out what my aunt is up to," Ary replies. "It's obvious she's on to me," he begins anew. "The cloak well....it's a loan. I'm also trying to figure out which of the professors are in in it," he adds. "I can convince my mother you're not a threat but you're right be on your guard. You're being watched," he adds with a nod.

"I guess we don't have a whole lot of choice.. if you all agree to help him I suppose I am on board as well" Golver would say pushing off the fireplace and looking to his companions.
Necey shakes her head. "You still did not answer his question. HOW are we supposed to help? We can't move around freely here, like yourself, if we have all these eyes on us. And your aunt already has it in for us it seems, so getting close to her is going to be difficult." She shrugs and raises her hands in resignation. "I'd like to help, it just seems like a difficult task for us to undertake."
