"Well done all." Saralyssa says with a nod to the others as they walk out of the jail area. She nods to the guard. "Sorry if I was hard on you back there, I do know you were only doing your job." She shrugs. "I was hoping the rise in tension would help to loosen the guy's tongue a bit. To tell the truth I am not at all good with those sorts of situations... I am glad others managed to get the information we sought."
The guard's sword lowers and he relaxes. "Just tell no one of this slip up," he says, "and I shall be happy to forget it."
When the party emerges from the prison, the light is blinding. It takes a minute to adjust and, in that time, they find themselves back on the streets outside. It is a pleasant, casual walk to the Dock Ward, where the party takes some time to locate the tiny bait shop shack across the street from the docks. The shack is closed up at the moment, despite the busy nature of the docks right now.
Pushing some of her red hair behind an ear, Saralyssa moves to one of the shops nearby. Sticking her head inside, she looks for the owner or some other worker in the shop. "How long has that shop there, the bait one, been closed like that?"
Titus skulls out of the jail, his gaze lingers on the guard as he exits the building, frustrated with being scolded about a legitimate use of his divine powers, but willing to leave well enough alone since Laniel had managed to coax the information they needed out of the big brute.
He walks in silence as they make their way to the docks, and upon finding the bait shop closed he looks around for a place they could linger for a long while I noticed in case they need to stake out the location for a time until the merchant returns.

"The other shopkeeps haven't seen the owner of the bait shop for a couple days." Saralyssa informs the group as she returns. She puts her hands on her hips as she glares with anger at the shop's closed door. With a shrug she moves up and tries to open the door, checking to see if it is locked or not.
"Well, no one here, no one been here for a couple of days." Saralyssa says, moving back to the others. "Either we get inside, and look around, or we call this a bust. Doesn't appear waiting around here is going to get us any answers as it is, since there is no telling if he will ever return...." She glances around, then lowers her voice. "I vote we get inside and see what we can find, maybe there is a dead body in there, and that is where our shop owner is..."
Before they try to break into the shack, Rethan walks over to ask if any of the other shopkeepers know where Helsin lives or frequently spends time (such as a favorite tavern).

Rethanand Lanielhead off to try around the block inquiring about Byrat'splace of residence. They do not have to go far. His direct neighbor says he is pretty sure the man lives in the tenements in South Ward, somewhere along the city wall. This narrows it down the way one might describe a stranger as "having short hair". It does limit the location to one area of the city, but that area contains a rather long stretch of houses.
Titusrubs his neck and looks uncomfortable at the talk of breaking into the shop. "Perhaps we should be more patient and stake out the place over the afternoon and see if there are any signs of activity? I don't like the idea of breaking in just based on our suspicions alone."

If there are windows on the bait shop, then Saralyssa will hold up a hand for the others. She walks to the window and looks through to see if she can see anything inside the shop.
While Titus, Morph, Rethan, and Lanieldiscuss whether or not they should break in, Saralyssafinds a small window on the side of the shack. It is quite dark inside, which is not helped by the grime coating the small window. Despite the difficult lightning, she can see that the small shop has been thoroughly trashed. Buckets, lures, bait, nets, and other detritus are strewn about the place. She is not entirely certain, but she either sees a shoe or a foot in the corner of the visible area of the shack.

Bronx frowns, then says, "In the brewery on level 2. Undermountain. My team leads him deeper. Prob'ly now."
Then Bronx turns and walks to the back of the cell, plops his back against the wall, and slides down to the floor.
Morph pats Laniel on the shoulder and whispers in his ear,
"Nicely done."
Morph turns back to the guard,
"Perhaps we should head out, let you get back to your duty?"
Morph starts to head back out of the prison, checking to make sure the guard isn't going to object.

"No one will hear anything from us," Rethan tells the guard.
Upon reaching the bait shack, he says "Well, that's not suspicious at all."
Morph nods his agreement,
"Closing shop in the middle of a busy day, doesn't bode well for us."
"Our target may not be here."
Morph give Rethan a knowing look,
"Maybe we see if there is an open back door?"

"Who, Byrat? Haven't seen him for a couple of days," the fishmonger says to Saralyssa.
Rethan and Morph are not subtle or quiet as they circle around the shack finding it has only one way in.

"Shell we try and have a look inside?"
Morph looks around the group,
"If the four of us stand around you, Rethan, we should be able to shield you from view, while you try the lock on the front door."
Morph looks for confirmation from the group, on his idea.
If the group agrees and Rethan attempts the lock, Morph will cast Guidance on Rethan to give him a +1d4 to the attempt.
