]Titus snarls and charges into the fray. He strategically placed himself in between Rethan and Laniel and is ready to use his shield to help protect them from any blows the Chimera is able to land on them.
(Titus will use his his reaction to impose disadvantage on the first melee strike that lands against either of his allies)

Attack: 14 Damage: 12
if either attack lands Titus will use Divine Smite: [roll]2d8[/roll
The chimera doesn't stand a chance. In six seconds, the party move in and slay the monstrosity, causing it to slump over its hoard before it can raise its claws or teeth for a second attack.
The pile of coins contains 600 ep, 2,000 sp, and 10,000 cp, which translates to 600 gp.
"That....wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," Laniel says, wincing at the blisters along his chest. There is not much left of his shirt but he should be able to afford several new ones now.
"Well that could have gone better, but can't complain too much I suppose." A slightly singed Saralyssa says as she realizes the creature is vanquished. She helps to collect the coins then glances to the others. "Anyone need to rest after that or do we continue onward?"
Lanielgives out a long, slow breath. His eyes are closed as he focuses and the burns and blisters on his chest ripple away, leaving mostly healthy, untarnished skin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I'd say we continue onward." Saralyssa remarks as she has her own owl circle the area to verify nothing else is here of note, then is ready to move onward. Owl perception: 12
”No need to rest just yet.” Says Titus with a determined tone in his voice. “It’s great this detour didn’t take long, but let’s collect the loot, get patched up and keep moving. There’s no time to waste if we are to catch the Black Blades.”
Titus will distribute his 30 hit points in Lay on Hands as so:
Laniel: +5
Rethan: +5
Saralyssa: +10
Morph: +10

Midnight and Sabastian head south. The passage is lengthy but eventually opens into a myriad of different paths. This looks to be the beginning of a maze.
The 30-foot-high cavern is deathly quiet, composed of crumbling stone buildings, many of which have partially collapsed. The buildings’ walls are 10 feet high, and their roofs have mostly caved in. Webs are strung between the buildings, but they’re not thick enough to inhibit movement.
Saralyssa reports what the owl sees to her companions. “Do you want the owls to scout further, or hold until we get closer?” She glances to the others as she asks for their opinions.
"Perhaps we should head to the cavern and then we can send our familiars separately down the various paths, to see if we can find one or more that could get us further."

Disadvantage roll for chimera's strike against Rethan: 27
8 divine smite damage on Titus' second swing.

Morph releases the magic, letting the ball of fire dissipate.
"Heh, I new we could take it."
Morph gives a grin of fake bravado.
"Seriously though, if we take a break, I can use my remaining spell reserves, to heal someone and then get the reserves back." (one lvl4 spell slot)
Morph looks around at his friends,
"Who's hurt the most? Rethan, you look like you took a nasty hit, want some healing, or do you want to keep going?"
The remaining owl, comes to rest on Morph shoulder, turning its head this way and that, watching as the group collects the treasure.
600gp split 5 ways is: 120gp each, in case that saves someone having to do the maths :)

Titus smugly sheaths his weapon and wipes his hands. “Made short work of him. I almost feel bad for the little guy going up against the likes of us!”
He then turns to Morph “I can also help out with the healing. Might be best to save your spells slots since yours are a bit more versatile”
(Titus can apply lay on hands to heal up the party)

Damage report:
Laniel is 49/57
Rethan is 50/78
Saralyssa is 31/44
Morph is 35/48
Titus is 70/70
Morph raises an eyebrow at Laniel's impressive display of mastery over his own body.
"Well that a new one, nice."
Morph turns back to the others,
"Short rest to tend to our wounds and get some of our resources back, or keep going?"
"I'm really find either way."
Morph pets the owl sitting on his shoulder as his friends consider.

Laniel nods. "I am good to keep going too. Scout the southern passage?"
"Ive had worse," Rethan says. "Let's keep moving."
Morph nods agreement and turns to Saralyssa and Rethan as the group heads back to the intersection.
"Midnight and, ah, what was your owl's name Saralyssa?"
"Anyway, they are faster than Lucy, so do you want to send them down the passage ahead of us to scout?"

“Works for me.” Saralyssa says, sending Sabastian off to scout.
Rethan sends off Midnight as well.
