Lightning splits through the air but finds only stone. The fire, though, is another matter. It blooms almost directly in front of Laniel, blowing around him as if he were encased in stone.

DEX(14) saves:

Every drow except the leader bursts into flame and dies, screaming. Three spiders likewise curl up and die from their burns. Four spiders, 3 quaggoth, and an elite drow are all that remain.

DM Shield:

The darkness drops as the drow holding it dies. Rethan lands two solid blows on the quaggoth but then oversteps, exposing his kidneys. The quaggoth takes advantage of the opportunity.

With all of the drow around them and the spiders near Titus dead, and Rethan attacking the quaggoth, Morph attacks the spider right next to Saralyssa. The carapace of the massive arachnid crunches and it falls to its side, legs curling as it dies. He then applies healing to Titus, giving the dragonborn a chance to stand and fight or flee.

Morph takes 16 damage from a spider bite then another 13 damage from the quaggoth. The elite drow puts him down in his second swing. (2)

Saralyssa sends a bolt of lightning out of the storm, at the drow...

Titus uses his shield to impose disadvantage on one of the attacks against Morph.

He faces off against the Drow and tries to shove him to the ground with his shield, and then rains down blows with his battle ax.

Titus is not within 5 feet of any of those attacks. If he moves to the drow, he will take an AoO from at least Quaggoth 2

Ah okay, makes sense now. Titus will swing at Quaggoth 2 then instead.

Morph takes back-to-back hits from one of the spiders and a quaggoth, leaving him battered when elite drow weaves his way into the fray.

Morph manages to avoid the drows fist attack, giving a smirk of satisfaction, before the drow plants his blade fully into Morph's stomach.

The smirk fades from Morph's face, as the colour also drains away.

Morph goes limp, crumpling to the floor in a small pool of his own blood.

The drow is struck by magic missiles, eliciting a grunt of pain. Meanwhile, Titus slays the quaggoth (2) with his first swing of the axe. (The athletics roll didn't matter, so I skipped it.)

He races past Rethan to swing at the elite drow, landing a glancing blow on the warrior's shoulder blade.

Rethan is up. Q1 and Q3 remain, as does the Elite Drow, S6, and S9. Rethan is adjacent to Q3.

Rethan attacks Quaggoth 3 (then Elite Drow) 3 times in rapid succession:

Laniel strikes down the quaggoth, leaving only one left. He slides away from the storm and lands a solid blow against the drow, but the dark elf is too quick and his next two strikes miss entirely.

The remaining quaggoth steps over Morph's fallen body and attacks (2) Laniel.

Claws Attack: 22 Damage: 9 (miss!)

Claws Attack: 17 Damage: 4 (miss!)

And the elite drow attacks (2) Saralyssa.
