Alwin is just pulled in by the half-orc woman and then has his shoulders dusted off, a red tint coming across his face. At the words of friends he just blinked ‘Friends? She thinks I’m a friend…’ again inside his head plays his brother voice as if contradicting the statement ‘no one wants to be friends withhalf-breed scum like you’ he just looked down, no maybe the two were friends but not with him.
He just listens to everything going on and raises his shield and sword“I don’t see any issue with that – let’s go see what the problem is.”
With that he begins to walk into the cellar, carefully looking around for what might be the cause of the issue.

Fitting it into the lock, the innkeeper twists the key which opens the stout hardwood door with an audible *click*. Glancing at you all as he pulls open the door, Myren's final words before you descend are,'
"Well, its a short flight of stairs down and there's nothing else down there except for the cellar, so you don't need instructions. 'Descending the short flight of stairs for roughly ten feet or so, you soon emerge into a large cellar stocked with barrels, boxes, crates and sacks. The smell of the area's nutrient rich, bog-like soil is strong down here, though the thing that most grabs your attention is the large mass of thick moss, soil and spiderweb coated roots that snake along the room's ceiling and protrude down into the centre of the room like massive tendrils or octopus tentacles. The largest of the tendrils form an almost cage-like enclosure that takes up the space in the middle of the cellar, though the hanging moss and webs, as well as the roots themselves, make it all-but impossible to see into this space.'
[OOC] perception checks from everyone - anyone with a score of 15 or more may read the spoiler:
'While the enclosure is near-impossible to see into clearly, your sharp eyes manage to pick out definite signs of movement within, as well as the drone like *buzzing* sound that Myren mentioned. The buzzing sound seems to be coming from the centre of the roots, but also the entire back section of the room.'

Alwin just moves down the stair and then looks up to his companions “Careful, there is something moving around, it may be able to fly also.” He added, he would rather be cautious then dead. It was lucky that he had Elven blood since it gave him an ability to see in the dark. He just began to look for the source of the buzzing sound.
Pyro goes down the stairs and tries to see if she cannot detect any movement or light coming from the cage-like root.
'Now standing near the bottom of the stairs, apart from what she sees inside the mass of roots itself, Pyro doesn't detect any additional movement in the room, though the *buzzing* sound coming from the back of the room appears to be getting louder. While Pyro sees two lanterns affixed to the cellar walls from where she's standing, neither is lit, and there is no other light in the cellar itself.'

Alwin's curiosity has gotten the better of him and he begins to inspect the roots, clearly ignoring any danger it may actually pose.
'As Alwin steps towards the huge moss and web coated roots, the *buzzing* sound intensifies, though the half-elf is unsure if the stronger sound is coming from the centre of the great root system itself or from somewhere behind it.'
'Wazzock struggles not to chuckle at Alwin's paranoia. She confidently strides around the basement counterclockwise, keeping an eye out for insects among the barrels and crates.'
'Wazzock notices a lot of insect life in this room - harmless bettles for the most part, though she bats a tiny bright yellow and orange wasp aside that swoops in her direction agressively. Taking a step towards the right side of the room, the half-orc also hears the increase in the *buzzing* sound... just as she notices a hound-sized creature zoom around the right side of the root structure, gossamer-like wings beating the air incredibly fast, venom dripping stinger extended towards the half-orcs chest.'
'Seeing movement within the roots and hearing the buzzing, Kestrell shouts:'
"This is more than a cockroach or two!"
'Kestrell follows close behind Wazzock and casts Mage Hand to poke at a particularly long tendril sticking out of the side of the mass.'

'Kestrell notices furious but indistinct movement within the root structure, as though a dark cloud or something similar is floating within the space. Hearing Wazzock's sharp intake of breath, the half-elf is about to ask what is wrong when he notices another of the giant flying insects fly around the left side of the root structure, zooming towards Alwin who is still peering into the centre-mass of the root system.
The tall-goblin creature Gibbs shrieks in fear and cowers low on the stairwell, while the pale-skinned, blue-haired Pyro also gasps at the suddeness of the giant wasps' furious approach, crouching in the shadows of a nearby stack of crates and barrels.
One of the giants wasps arrows towards Wazzock, it's swollen abdomen bent forward beneath its fast-beating wings, stinger extended like a miniature lance. Despite the half-orcs armour and attempt to deflect the creature, its stinger plunges into her chainmail, the tip piercing through to draw blood and deliver its venomous payload: Attack: 16 Damage: 4
The other aggressive and oversized insect zooms towards Alwin, swooping towards the half-elf's head and neck, it's stinger poised to strike, though a shout from Pyro is enough to bring fighter's attention around in just enough time for him to duck beneath the creature's attack,' Attack: 7 Damage: 4
