OOC: Character sheets have been updated with the benefits of a short rest and expended hit dice.
Tanakir moves up the stairs to the vault room. "Sure, sure thing," Fumbles says almost absent-mindedly to the request for the iron key. At this point sweat has almost pooled on the floor around him, his concentration intense. He reaches into his bag and roots around for a moment, then frowns, reaching into his bag of holding, and removes...nothing. "What? It's gone! It's been in my bag since we entered!"
Tanakir then joins Rycider at the window as she relays her plan. From the seventh floor, the paladin takes stock of the army. Other than the battering ram approaching the front door, the orcs don't seem to outfitted for anything long range. The two-headed ogre at the forefront is barely wearing any clothing, and carries a massive club and javelin. It does appear that the army has other siege equipment in mind, as another foreboding structure rolls over the hills in the distance.
Wes examines the staircase closely for a moment. Breaking it would likely be impossible; its magical creation has left it without so much as a scratch in its crystalline nature. It is incredibly sturdy, and with the teleportation magic that it obviously possesses, Wes isn't certain that breaking the steps physically would stop someone from using its magic.
OOC: Not advancing any further yet to allow the party to react to Rycider's plan.
Wes begins to pace as he ponders the proposed plan “I don’t know, I told you that I need to stay behind someone. I’ve already been knocked out once. Now I’m supposed to go back out into the line of fire again... alone?” As he starts to spiral Petunia rushes up his shoulder and begins chattering in his ear with a attitude you don’t normally see from a weasel. “Alright! Alright, I will do it. Just stop yelling at me ya fuzzball. Just tell me when. Should I make myself appear like one of the workers as well? I can do that again you know.... might be more hesitant to shoot one of their own.”
"It seems your halfling friend, Wes, has been digging in the pockets of the party. I recommend everyone do a check of their inventories and make sure nothing important is missing."
Tanakir will take his own advice.
"As for the plan, I think it is a good one, and Wes fits the character we need. I will watch, and make sure nothing goes amiss."
"Sounds like it could work, that two-headed one doesn't seem like the sharpest of tools anyway. We don't have a lot to lose by trying." Karst relays into the stone from the captives rooms, he then goes through his own gear quietly checking in case he has been robbed without noticing.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Wes will check his pockets for anything that is missing. Followed by using Disguise self to appear as Bek Bek once more. Getting himself ready for his part. Waiting for the go ahead. “Now tell me once more what you’re going to make appear.”
It will be easy enough to retrieve our goods off tha little shit's corpse when tha time comes. Rycider says with uncharacteristic venom.
Let's get this underway. Ricky ties one end of the rope around Wes's ankle, making sure to do a theater rigging knot so as not to have his foot ripped off.
When I nod my head Tanakir Dear, pull him back in at a steady but brisk pace and I will have the illusion match it. The beast will be made of mostly arms and mouths so I won't need to be too accurate. He will be mostly engulfed by the phantom by the time he reaches the door. As soon as he's in I will turn invisible and lock the door.
Wes, to make a trip look genuine just kick the back of your other foot. Ricky shows him a quick lesson in prat falls.
Remember to keep out of the line of sight in the doorway. Rycider will make sure the lighting is correct inside.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Petunia is back to her anxious self.... running around up and down Wes’s sleeves. Through the illusion though she just disappears. “That’s enough, I don’t need you in danger too.” As he snaps his familiar away.
making his way to the door.
When cued the Bek Bek Looking Wes runs quickly out of the tower looking over his shoulder. “AAAAAAAAAGGGGHH, RUNAWAY RUNAWAY THE BEAST IS HORRIB. OOF!” Making a high pitched squeal as he hits the ground after tripping himself like Rycider showed him. “AAAAAAAGGGGHHH, GODS SAVE ME, GODS SAVE ME!”He begins shouting as he is pull back by the monstrosity. Letting out loud gurgling noises as he is being consumed by the beast “GGRRUUUGGGLEEHGGGGLLL”
OOC: Sorry to be that guy, because this is amazing, but remember that the front door of the tower is closed and the only key has gone missing. The only opening that you know of are the windows on the sixth and seventh floor, so the plan could be amended toward one of those openings. Giving some more time to confirm before advancing.
OOC: Bummer. But this could make things easier. We do it on the sixth floor. (Sorry I was under the impression that the "windows" were transparent walls) Dispense with the rope and trip, obviously, and have Bek Bek Wes just try and escape through the window before being engulfed by the Hellspawn illusion. Would this work? Can this be seen from the outside? You said that we didn't see the windows from the outside on the way in but hopefully with a being (Wes) there, they become transparent to the outside as well?!
If all goes well, Rycider speaks into the redstone, once again with a voice straight from Beelzebubs lower intestine.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Mauris rhoncus commodo sodales. Nullam viverra orci id eleifend ultricies. Sed sit amet interdum massa. Donec nec ipsum dignissim turpis lobortis dictum sit amet ut turpis. Duis scelerisque magna tortor, egestas porta!
OOC: Yeah sorry, could have been more exact in my description. Wizards' towers...
The orcs saw the smoke coming from the sixth floor window, so even though you didn't see windows from the outside, it's a safe bet that something (or someone named Wes) would be seen as soon as they crossed the threshold.
The performance of Rycider and Wes has an immediate effect on the orc army. The ogre can be seen calling the approaching forces back, leaving the battering ram at the door. The entirety of the orc army retreats around 200 feet back from the tower; still encircling it but suddenly treating it with caution.
Karst and Tanakir find their inventories to be secure, but Wes notices that the red sending stone that he had taken from an orc is no longer in his pack.
OOC: Rycider and Wes have bought Fumbles some more time, enough for another short rest. Is there anything that anybody wants to do during this time?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tanakir will look around to try and find any large pieces of furniture that could conceivably be lit on fire and tossed out a window, as well as for a window directly above the front door.

OOC: Wes is fine with the same plan trying to escape the window.... or being tossed out of it.
OOC: LOL. We could do the rope trick with you being snatched up from a fall but I'm a little worried too much could go wrong with that.
