Elon follows Vassa to the lady's place trying to think of what he might say and how to go about getting information. "So, how do you want to play this?"
"I believe you are correct Silver, either organization would have done something so brash and sloppy. As for Lady Hornraven, I will do my best but no promises." Elon takes a final drink "shall we Vassa" he heads for the door.
Vassa smiles coyly, but has the good graces to look suitably chagrined at Phaedra's remonstration relating to deities and their clergy. Not looking to get into a theological argument, the bard says in a placating tone,'
"Ohh, I don't doubt that gods exist, Phae, or that they had a hand in all of THIS. Indeed, it's our approach as mortals to that very fact which I sometimes feel obliged to question... but that's a discussion for another time perhaps."
Nodding at the sense of Silver's plan, the bard winks at being referred to as "pretty enough", but noticably grimaces at not being included in the temple party. Releasing the hilt of the object tucked into his belt, the half-drow reminds himself that he can always swing by the temple later. A good plan is a good plan, and his sure as hell weren't working out laterly, so he'd play his role for the team.
Turning to Elon, Vassa says, "We should, Elon. Let's roll."
"Elon follows Vassa to the lady's place trying to think of what he might say and how to go about getting information. "So, how do you want to play this?"
"Well, I say we ask around first to get Lady Hornraven's address, since, hard as this may be to believe, even I don't know the address of every noblewoman in the city. Then we knock on her door and ask to speak to her regarding today's events. Despite my usual penchant for theatrics, I see no need to overly complicate this particular task. The Hornraven Estate is almost certainly here in the Northward somewhere, so we'll just ask around a bit... someone in THAT place might know."
Vassa points to the Tiger's Eye, remembering that Volo said it was a private detective's agency. Where better to ask for information?

The House of Inspired Hands looks like a cross between a temple and a workshop. The symbol of Gond, a toothed cog with four spokes, is displayed prominently. You see the silhouette of a humanoid shape perching on the rooftop. It extends an arm, releasing a tiny metal sparrow into the sky. The bird does a few loops in the air, then veers right toward you.
OOC: Need initiative rolls from all three. The bird attacks on initiative 10. If you roll above a 10 go ahead and take your turn.

Vassa and Elon approach the door to Tiger Eye and see that it's open as they go up the steps a well modulated voice calls out, "Come on in. I've been waiting on someone from your place to make their way over here."
As you walk in you see a regal apartment dimly lit by flickering oil lamps. In one corner sits a regal looking human male dressed in a sharp looking suit, and smoking a slim pipe. "The name's Vincent Trench. The way I see it, you're either here to hire me or to try and get free information out of me. I sincerely hope it's the former rather than the later."
OOC: The rolls I asked for in the chat will apply to this mini-mission, so there's no need to re-roll those. Feel free to add more though, if you want to do something different.
Group C
Selinae and Kestrell make it to the Vhezoar Street Watchpost with the identifying green and gold lantern hanging outside, permanently lit by a continual flame spell.
Walking in they're greeted by an Aasimar Watchwoman standing behind a counter. "Good afternoon citizens, how can I help you today?" she asks in an orotund voice.
The watchwoman's look of confusion grows while she processes what was said, then an eyebrow shot up and a smirk appears on her face. "You're talking about Barnibus Blastwind, aren't you?"
She chuckles for a moment. "Short and wide. Oh, he's going to love that. Unfortunately you've come to the wrong place. Mr. Blastwind doesn't work for the City Watch so he's not going to be here. You'll want to check at the Tower of the Order. It's situated in the Castle Ward on the Street of Bells, near the middle of the block between Selduth Street and Buckle Alley. Is there anything else I can assist with?"

Selinae rubbed her temples, " You'll have to excuse my friend, sorry, Seargent...... Um, I didn't catch your name....... We represent a group of business owners in Trollskull Alley, there was a fireball based incident there earlier today. I don't believe there will be any new information that Master Blastwind hasn't already informed us of but just in case we've been requested to ask."
" So, has there been any additional information in the last hour or so regarding that incident that can be released to concerned members of the public."

" If not, thankyou and sorry for bothering you."
"Sergeant? I wish! No, I'm just plain ol' Constable Maykyn Serpentwind. I don't have any news from the incident earlier. Some of the Watch told me what they saw up there. Sure is a shame. Did you know the halflings that passed away were just kids? Wish the temples didn't charge so much for resurrecting folk. But that's neither here nor there. To answer your question, I've not seen a report from Special Investigator Blastwind and don't expect to for a few days at least. I just hope he finds who did this. Anyway, I'm about to start rambling again. Feel free to check back in 4 or 5 days if you'd like. Maybe we'll have some news by then. Or, you could go find Special Investigator Blastwind at the Tower of the Order. Up to you."

" Lovely to meet you Maykyn."
Maykyns words reawoke the images of the dead halfling children, children just like her cousins....tears welled up in her eyes.
" I want to find the bastard who did that and........uh........hand him over to a lawful authority.", she finished weakly as she recalled where she was.
" I didn't think there would be anything yet, I think our associates rather just wanted to get us two out from under their feet by sending us here."
Vassa and Elon approach the door to Tiger Eye and see that it's open as they go up the steps a well modulated voice calls out, "Come on in. I've been waiting on someone from your place to make their way over here."

Vassa takes a moment to take in the stylish apartment, noting the way the sparse light filters through the drawn curtains and the smoke from the Vincent's pipe. Deciding that he likes this guy's style and the way that his art deco rates his surroundings, Vassa winks at Elon before he hops up on the corner of the nearby desk, crossing his legs as he leans back casually to say, "The name's Sunstar... Vassa Sunstar. That there is Elon... see? So you know who we are, huh? No surprise there I guess, your business being what it is and all.
Might be we can pay for what we're after, though seeing as it relates to that ugly incident this morning right outside your place of business, I figure you might want to answer a simple question or two out of a sense of community concern. Gotta protect the neighbourhood... am I right, or am I right?
More specifically, we're here to talk about a dame. A noble... you know the type. Hornraven is the family moniker. We just want to know where she lives, so we can ask her a question or three about that explosion out front. She was a witness to the whole thing, don't ya know."

Selinae raised an eyebrow, " Knew what?"
" Um....so.....do you have any shady connections your keeping secret? Almost everyone else seems to."
" It should be up this way."
"Hmm? Oh. Nothing."
"Secret shady connections? Selinade, a lady never tells!"
"Good, I hope they have some pastries!"
" But your not...I mean, I'm sorry...are you?", Selinaes face grew deeply confused.
" Pastries? Have you ever been to a Watch House before?"
Kestrell frowns. "No, I've never been to one. Have you?"
