Dog quietly walks back to the group by the purple portal to tell them it doesn't send them close to the goo room (could he get any other sense of what the goo is? has it changed at all? has he see goo like that before?). He'll suggest they go into the purple portal.
Just saw the most recent post, sorry!
Dog stops when he sees the weasel (is he alone? is it coming from the direction of the purple room or from behind him?). He drops the bolt and pulls out his warhammer and shouts to the others, "WEASEL! HELP!" and readies two attacks if the weasel gets close to him:
Doggear is fast, responding out of instinct and striking at Keyrie with his hammer twice (She takes 13 points of damage.) Keyrie automatically reverts to her firbolg form. Keyrie can now act.
Dog:
Yes, Dog is exploring alone. Both hammer blows strike the weasel, which squeals and falls to the floor, transforming into another shape...one of a Firbolg. It is...Keyrie?. (I used the first post that you fixed.)
"Keyrie! I... I am so sorry!" Dog drops his warhammer and falls to his knees and tries to hug her. "I saw a giant rodent running at me and after everything else this place has thrown at us, I assumed.... Are you okay?!? FeyTok, we lost him. He had that dream and was so fixated on his own demise. We've had to fight off these giant crystal minotaur golems that wouldn't stop chasing us all over as we jumped through here. Then there's been a few water elementals that nearly took us down, and we haven't touched some mushroom people that also tried to attack us, although Gash has some mushrooms you might find interesting. We still don't know what this trial is supposed to be or where we're supposed to go or do, but we've explored quite a bit. Where did you come from? How did you get here??"
”No, no it’s okay I shouldn’t have startled you.“ Keyrie hugs Dog back. “I’m sorry to hear about FeyTok, did you at least get the bastard that got him? I went and found a place to house the horses and carriage. The proprietor was a Minotaur and when I mentioned the labyrinth he helped me. I have a means of getting around this place. I know a relatively safe room in here let’s get everyone and settle down there, we can talk about everything that happened and I can fill you in if you have any questions. Plus Myon is waiting for me.”
Dog blinks a lot as Keyrie as she talks, trying to absorb it all. "How can you get around this place? Do we all have to turn into giant weasels? Do you know how to get out of here, where Nev and Genny are, and what we need to be doing? Also WHO ARE the minotaurs?"
He stands up, and helps her to her feet. "Too many questions. That's how you know it's really me. I have some answers. Let's get to this room you mentioned and I can tell you more. We turned the crystal minotaur that killed FeyTok into a bunch of broken glass, and did the same to his friends. Oh. We found two more people in here who have been helping us. They're right over here. One's a metal man named Bulwark, and the other is a feline bard named Stones. They've been nice. You'll like them. I'm so glad Myon's okay."
Stones bows at the waist and says “Greetings friend of my new friends. I am Colored Stones in the Stream of Clan River Tree, but I go by the less mouthful ‘Stones’. It’s a pleasure to meet you, though I do wish is was under less melancholy circumstances. I am sorry for your loss. He died a hero.”
If no one has any more immediate questions Keyrie will take them all to the room through the secret wall and also hand over the magic ring she found.
“I have a whole map of this place in my head, so I have managed to get through it without encountering anything so far. I know the way to the exit but there is a Golem blocking it. I also know of a few other secret passages/rooms if we want to try and raid them for things or just head straight for the exit.” Keyrie turns to their new party members.
”Thank you for helping to protect my friends, I see them as my family, and if they trust you then I shall as well. My name is Keyrie I am the resident Druid, oh and this is Myon.” Keyrie motions to the Lion next to her. “He’s well trained, so don’t worry about him biting you as long as you don’t try anything.”
"Friendly: Greetings, Keyrie." It should be noted; Bulwark has no facial expressions. His face, built in the visage of a helmet, has no emotional variation to speak of. Combined with his voice, a low, monotone, gravelly timbre, it is difficult to parse what emotion, if any, he is trying to convey.
DM Shield:
Dog: 20
Keyrie: 16
Dog:
At first it is the unsettling sound of claws on stone, but out of the darkness, a giant weasel scampers towards Dog! (Dog gets the first action.)

You missed my last post, rkmobius.
I saw your post as soon as I hit publish and then went back to edit and add in a reaction, sorry!
Rolls didn't work in last post:
Attack: 16 Damage: 12
Extra Attack: 15 Damage: 11
(Edit: fixed the above rolls with the spacing trick)

Keyrie rubs her head gently, "Ow, uh, sorry for startling you."
(No more spoilers necessary! rkmobius can see that post ---^ )
Gash catches up with the group. Excited to see his friend has joined them he says,
“Oh Keyrie! Oh... Keyrie...” Gash’s expression changed looking at Feytocks slump body and then his wooden figure. “Keyrie, Feytock. He’s gone.”

Tock is just putting on his new cloak, turns around, sees everyone doing the social stuff and says, "Hi Keyrie. This place is super dangerous."

"I'll take the Keyrie, if you all will allow me some time while you get acquainted."
