Anything that says "that you can see" is out. Inspiration says "that can hear you". He'd still be able to hear you. You'd think it'd be the same with healing word, but it does say "that you can see".
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Aseid disappears into the "hill", his four companions spring into action. Staying in the tunnel, Erric sends inspiration Aseid's way, hoping the young man can hear him inside ... whatever the foul beastie is. (He can.)
Jambiya enters the room sideways and runs up the wall. As she does so, she sends two blasts of green white energy at the hill. One goes wide while the other just skims the surface, not appearing to affect it at all.
Maldorn enters the room and hugs the wall as much as he can, firing one and then another arrow as he does so. Both projectiles land and stick in the hill. He plans to move as far to the side as possible (opposite Jambiya, kind of), but as he moves in front of one of the large fungal growths in the corner ... (Attack: 6 Damage: 4) ... he feels something brush against him. He chances a glance over his shoulder and sees that this is no benign toadstool! It's trying to hit him!
The hill "turns" and moves toward Maldorn. Two limb-like masses fly out at the old man. (Attack: 25 Damage: 13, Attack: 9 Damage: 13 — Man, this thing can hit.) Maldorn is knocked by both!
The man-sized mushroom makes another attempt to whip Maldorn. (Attack: 14 Damage: 3) The hunter dodges this second attempt as well.
Maldorn, if you entered from 12 o'clock, you moved counterclockwise because the hill was slightly off center toward the right (now it's slightly off center to the left since it followed you). You were attacked by the fungus in the NW corner. I stopped you just after that, but you could have continued around. The corners look similar though, so it's a gamble on whether the next corner might take a swipe at you as well. As the room is only 20 feet "tall", there's only 10 feet between the fungal growths in the corners.
Aseid, you're up! You must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw (happened at the start of the hill's turn) or take 13 bludgeoning damage. It's a DC 14 to break out of the grapple.
The first two hits were so hard, the very breath was knocked out of his lungs, then the "hill" tightened its grip around him: Con DC14 save: 16
Aseid felt to be dragged around by now also moving mass of - sadly, not dead - vegetation. Gasping for the air, the warrior tried to free himself:Athletics: 10 plus Bardic Inspiration: 2
Erric, then Maldorn, then Jambiya, you're up! Erric, you're a little ways up the tunnel and not in melee with anything. Maldorn, you are in melee with both the mound and the giant fungus. Jambiya, you're are also not in melee with anything.
Erric says, "I think your plants fell down."He pauses, then quickly points at the hill in a "gotcha" gesture. "Made you look!"
(As he tells this joke he casts Tasha's hideous laughter and hopes that the hill laughs so hard that the hill regurgitates Aseid, or at least allows Erric to see him. If he can see him, he will either cast healing word or use mantle of inspiration if Aseid can see Erric... but if not, he'll inspire Aseid again.)
Maldorn stays in front of Erric, counting on the halfling to peek around the human's frame should he need to do so while providing him some cover as well. Also, bonus action Healing Spirit where he ends up. Would the first healing dip happen immediately or on the next turn?
The giant mushroom that attacked Maldorn slowly moves toward the mouth of the tunnel. 4 tendrils swing out and around the corner at the old hunter. (Attack: 21 Damage: 3 necrotic, Attack: 21 Damage: 5 necrotic, Attack: 3 Damage: 6 necrotic, Attack: 4 Damage: 7 necrotic) Two of the four tendils brush against Maldorn, causing him to flinch in pain.
Aseid, you're up. DC 14 CON save or take 13 bludgeoning damage. Since Erric has caused it to stop moving, you'll take half the damage if you fail. DC 14 to escape.
You cannot breathe, Aseid, but you can hold your breath for four minutes (24 rounds), so we don't need to worry about that ... yet.
Despite being surrounded on all sides by whatever this creature is, Aseid, you're able to move your weapon. You can tell your first attempt didn't accomplish anything, but you're pretty sure your attempt second hurt the hill. Those watching the hill see it move briefly. Is Erric's spell wearing off? The bard can feel that it isn't.
Round 4
Erric, you're up! Maldorn, you're next. Then, Jambiya. Erric, you're behind Maldorn. Both the mound and the moving fungus are 15 feet away from you. You cannot see the fungus. Maldorn, the hill and the fungus are 10 feet away from you. You can just see the fungus around the corner slowly moving toward you because you're standing just inside the tunnel from the larger room. There is a translucent spirit form of Sagitta hovering in the same space as Maldorn. Jambiya, you're way up in the NE corner.
I post concentration saves following the fungus' attacks here, but will wait to see what Erric does in his turn before deciding what to do with Maldorn's.
-> Concentration saves {DC 10}: 126 -> Healing Spirit drops even before Maldorn's turn starts.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Erric casts dissonant whispers at second level on the mound holding Aseid for 14 psychic damage on a failed WIS 15 save. He tries to position himself such that it wouldn't actually more farther away, just try to retreat against the wall. He doesn't want it going farther away with Aseid inside.
Oh yeah that’s different, crud. Can’t see him at all? So no healing word, or inspiration?
Anything that says "that you can see" is out. Inspiration says "that can hear you". He'd still be able to hear you. You'd think it'd be the same with healing word, but it does say "that you can see".
Actually can I shift it to just inspiring Aseid, since he can hear Erric? Sorry for the late reply. Aseid, you get a d8. Sorry Jambiya and Maldorn.
Jambiya will instead use her move and BA for Nimble Escape if needed. No worries.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Maldorn will keep his reaction and move only during his turn.

Round 3
Erric, then Maldorn, then Jambiya, you're up! Erric, you're a little ways up the tunnel and not in melee with anything. Maldorn, you are in melee with both the mound and the giant fungus. Jambiya, you're are also not in melee with anything.
Unless Erric changes the battleground considerably, Maldorn will simply disengage and return to the relative safety of the tunnel.
Erric says, "I think your plants fell down." He pauses, then quickly points at the hill in a "gotcha" gesture. "Made you look!"
(As he tells this joke he casts Tasha's hideous laughter and hopes that the hill laughs so hard that the hill regurgitates Aseid, or at least allows Erric to see him. DC 15 WIS save: 2
As Erric's spell takes hold, the hill becomes eerily still once again. Unfortunately, Aseid does not become visible.
Maldorn uses some fancy footwork to return to the relative safety of the tunnel. Do you want to be in front of or behind Erric?
Maldorn stays in front of Erric, counting on the halfling to peek around the human's frame should he need to do so while providing him some cover as well. Also, bonus action Healing Spirit where he ends up. Would the first healing dip happen immediately or on the next turn?
If you create it in the space you end up in, yes, you can go ahead and restore some hit points.
Jambiya, you're up!
Alright:
-> First Healing Spirit dip: 6
The spirit looks just like Sagitta, albeit spectral in form.
Jambiya crawls as far up into the corner of the ceiling as she can go, and fires two more blasts of eldritch energy at the mound.
Move: wriggles further away if she can.
Action: EB at the mound. 15 to hit, for 9 dmg, and 18 to hit, for 8 dmg
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Both of Jambiya's next attacks hit!
DC 15 WIS save: 7
The mound continues to remain completely still.
(Is Aseid still suffocating?)
Con save: 26
Losing hope to free himself by brute force, Aseid called to the ancestors and tried to attack instead:
BA: Another use of Fighting Spirit (giving advantage, so, straight attacks)
Attack: 9 Damage: 6
Attack: 22 Damage: 13
