"I'm doing better now that I'm off that boat. Now I just need some warm food and a strong drink..." Anafrey would reply as she takes in a deep breath through her nose and climbs up into the carriage, making sure to keep her hand resting on her flail on her belt as she sits down.
OOC: sorry haven’t had a chance to do much on this site today! Also I’m a bit surprised about the reaction based on our mystery rolls but we can just go with it. Can Erric have replied to Gramps before Anafrey comes up? Or has that passed me by?
"Steal the flail? I didn't even mention the flail! I just wanted to get us off the ship and in no trouble for this fight. FOR WHICH WE SHOULD BE IN NONE BECAUSE WE WERE DEFENDING OURSELVES,"he said, glancing at the other guards.
"Either the flail is dangerous and we can try to get it off her once we're away from here, or Anafrey's just being a rotten person, and I don't see the need to spend time with her anymore. Ebokk do you care what happens to the flail? Our agreement didn't have any specification for which treasures should go to which party members. She doesn't have any claim over it, but maybe it is trying to claim her. I suppose if that's true we have to help her. Even if she's being a racist jerk. Maybe the flail's a racist jerk. Let's be on our guard, because I honestly don't trust her not to harm something now."
When Tyena comes up and gives her directions, Erric steps up. "Will you have any more questions for us? Or just Ebokk? Also,"he draws close to Tyena and nearly whispers close to her ear if he can reach:
[DM]
"What resources are available to Waterdavian visitors who find themselves grappling with a cursed weapon? Either our friend is getting extremely grouchy or that flail is having an effect on her. Is there a temple we could seek to have a curse lifted? Do you do that at the docks?"
When Maldorn asks about an inn, Erric says, "That's a good idea -- Ebokk is there an inn near your house?"
Erric's slight of hand stealth to keep anyone from hearing his whisper: 21 — OK, nobody but Tyena heard that.
To Erric, Jambiya and Maldorn before Anafrey and Tyena return:
Ebokk, still looking surprised and bothered, shakes his head. "I really don't want any part of this. Do you really think Anafrey is in danger?"
After Erric whispers in Tyena's ear, she looks at the halfling for about half a minute and finally responds flatly, "No," before moving on.
Ebokk looks hurt at the idea that the party might stay at an inn. "We really have plenty of room. Won't you be my guests? Of course, if you insist, there are a couple very nice hotels in our neighborhood."
Erric nods in reluctant agreement and then looks to the rest of the group with raised eyebrows and an unspoken question. He does not look at Anafrey’s flail. He won’t plan on saying anything until they are all in the carriage.
Ebokk marches forward, his arms loaded down with his things, including the sack of his father's remains. Once the party reaches the mainland, Tyena bids you farewell and thanks the City Watch for their help. Tyena turns south while two of the City Watch head north. The final City Watch continues in the same direction as the party, seemingly coincidental. "The coach is just up here," Ebokk calls back over his shoulder. There is quite a bit of activity on the streets, but you can see a couple carriages just up ahead, one of them presumably waiting for you.
Maldorn follows along, entering the coach pointed out by Ebokk. He helps the group with their equipment if needed, or any additional piece of luggage that may be in use for the extra treasure. He sits close to a window, so that he can continue smoking.
Anafrey would walk just a few feet away from her companions... hanging a bit towards side with the guards. When they arrive at the carriage, she would wait until everyone else was in the wagon before getting in herself, keeping her hand on the handle of her flail.
As the party enters the carriage, the City Watch continues on, walking down the street. Once everyone is aboard, the driver pulls away from the curb and begins traveling the busy streets of Waterdeep. "It will take us a little bit to reach Mother's," the dwarf says pleasantly while watching out the window. "We live on the southern edge of the North Ward."
“Are you okay, Anafrey? Have you apologized for saying those awful things to Jambiya?” Erric says, after many minutes of not being able to stand the elephant in the room. He’s acting polite, hopeful, even.

“I though we were staying at an inn, or tavern” Maldorn looks at Erric.

OOC: You can post something in the past. And I just realized I said Anafrey, Tyena and Gramps exited the ship at the same time. Whoops!
OOC: Thanks for bearing with me!

Jambiya is super on-edge, and is trying to read the member of the City Watch who has come along with us. Is it purely coincidental?

Anafrey would walk just a few feet away from her companions... hanging a bit towards side with the guards. When they arrive at the carriage, she would wait until everyone else was in the wagon before getting in herself, keeping her hand on the handle of her flail.
Erric follows Ebokk into the carriage, looking around for anything that seems out of place. He's still being quiet.
Jambiya also climbs into the carriage willingly, assuming her poor Insight roll didn’t reveal anything.

Maldron tries to make small talk: "Would anyone like a smoke? Tobacco helps calm the nerves, I'd say..."

Jambiya looks out the window, occasionally scanning the skies.
