(I think you take a moment to confirm your hunch with Fiorello, who uses Tobin's Spirit Guide to look up Horse Face- Just an FYI, any NAMED spook you come across in this leap is based off of a genuine character from folklore/religious texts/etc. Fiorello can (and should) use his Spirit Guide to give you intel about the ghosty, which is the ONLY way you'll be able to defeat them in most cases. IRL: Feel free to use wikipedia (like JC did) to learn what you can about the spirits you encounter provided that Fiorello could reasonably give you the information quickly enough in whatever scenario you're in!)
Tony suddenly stops laughing. He locks eyes with Mezu, then the book, then Mezu, “Oh shiitake. That’s it, isn’t it? That’s why you wanted our names!”
Ruhi chimes in for the first time since arriving here. She has been, apparently, silently observing everything around you for quite some time. So quietly, in fact, that none of you even noticed her until this exact moment. "I think that it would be unwise to antagonize this gentleman, Jason," she whispers urgently. "I am not sure if you noticed, but we are all ephemeral here." She holds up a blue-tinged, semi-transparent arm to drive her point home. "However, this 'Horse Face' is NOT. I don't think any of our weapons will be functional against him. We need to find a way OUT of this place."
There's a commotion near the bandstand. A number of individuals are filing out of the rear exit and into the alley above, and the party atmosphere follows them as they depart.
A large male ghost in a bowler cap and vest ambles up to the three of you. "Why are yooz lot talkin' to a brick wall? C'mon, the fight'll be startin' soon. Better getcher boy ready for a good whallop!"
He raises an arm, invitingly, toward the rear exit.
Amaruve (his Bateman persona forgotten for a moment) chats amiably with Burble in druidic. A ghostly server stops by, her tray laden with glasses. "Need anything, hun?" she warbles.
...
Amaruve smiles at the girl and points to the menu "Sarsparilla" it says. But before the girl returns the man has fallen asleep in the comfortable booth. A low, almost inhuman, roar of snoring escapes from the bear. Just as she is about to wake him, a blast of proton energy errupts from the speakeasy door and Amaruve starts awake. "What! No one!" He shouts, but he looks around to find an empty room.
He slips out of the booth and heads down through the now cracked open speakeasy door to the room below. Looking to catch up with the party.
Amaruve wakes up in time to see the rest of his party going out the door. No sign of Jean... She must have already moved outside with the crowd.
You all make your way upstairs and into the dark alley behind the leisure room. If you were to look back at Horse Face, you would see him standing by the bar, chatting with a couple of servers. He casually sticks a cigarette between the teeth of his rubber mask and lights it with an old battered canister lighter. Noticing your stare, he makes a shooing motion with his free hand.
Meanwhile, the goomba ghost is giving Tony a rundown of the rules for the impending fight. It's pretty straightforward: no kicking, no blades, and no rough language.
The spectral crowd forms a ring in the alley. The five of you (including Ruhi, but sans Jean) stand on one side. On the other...

(lovely)
There are a number of whoops and cheers from the crowd, as a ghost steps forward. It's wearing a white sheet with eyeholes cut out, and it's strapping a pair of old-fashioned boxing gloves onto its hands (over the sheet).
"Alright, Catalino! Beat the crap out of that little goblin!" A few ghosts in in the crowd start to chant, "Curillo! Curillo! Curillo!"
Tony, you feel... weird. In your current ghostly state, you start to feel your features shift...
(For the moment, you are no longer Jason Yi! Use Tony's character sheet for this fight and roll initiative! Cheating is encouraged!)

Amaruve looks over Fiorello's shoulder as the tome he carries springs to life and flips through its pages stopping on a page with several entries. 'Curillo, Catalino' one reads explaining the circumstances of his lingering spirit. "Trolley car, huh?" Amaruve asks, matter of factly, looking back toward the bed sheet.
...
On May 18, Catalino CURILLO, a rag picker, was killed in front of his home on Douglas street, by a trolley car. It is at this particular place that the ghost held forth on his three visits. The Italian residents say that the visitor of the night is CURILLO'S spirit, and that he appears with the bag and hook he had when killed. One man claims that he has seen the accident in visionary form. However this may be, the Italians are much exercised and they are not alone in their fears, for the better class of residents are not resting as quietly as they did two weeks ago.
The women were frightened and will not venture out from their homes alone after dark. The men, too, are taking quite an interest in the affair and many of them are out every night waiting for the appearance of the specter. A man said yesterday, that fifty men were out Friday night, any one of whom believe in ghosts, but merely went out for fun.
That a figure clad in white is parading the streets in the early hours of the morning no one can doubt for a moment, after a visit to the homes in the vicinity of the above named streets. After the specter's third visit Saturday night, just at a time when many young people were returning from a picnic at an Atlantic park, the police were appealed to for the aid in running down and capturing the unwelcome visitor, but up to the present they have been unsucessful. ...
(Apologies for the delay, everyone- I missed the last couple of posts! Penguini will be MIA for the near future; he will be running on Aveiro-pilot for a little while)
Fiorello peers at the entry for Mr. Curillo more closely. Unnervingly, his movements are a little out-of-sync with Ty Rockasaurus, who arches his back, stretches, and yawns hugely. They snap back into phase with a puff of blue ectoplasm as Fiorello calls out (in his usual owlish manner), "Be careful, Tony! This 'Curillo' character seems to possess some sort of hook. I wouldn't be surprised if that made an appearance..."
Catalino begins hopping around the interior ring formed by the crowd. He looks more than a little ridiculous in his old-fashioned gloves and bedsheet. What a weird situation you find yourself in, Ton-
Tony catches both blows with an arm while talking with Fiorello, “Really? You don’t say. But,” Tony looks toward Catalino with a malicious grin, “If your meat hook is as weak as your left hook, then I should be just fine!” Tony slams a haymaker (as per his ability) into the sheeted face of Catalino:
Attack: 12 Damage: 0 for Max Damage: 13 Magic Bludgeoning. He swings again.
Tony sends the bedsheeted ghost reeling and it lands with a whumph on its rear. The speakeasy specters around you fall silent in shock; they had expected this little creature to be eviscerated in short order, apparently...
Tony, you notice too late as a hook on a wicked-looking chain floats up independently from beneath the bedsheet. It whuzzes toward you like a fishing line as the Curillo casts his Hook!
Tony is completely restrained by the cruel links of Curillo's ghostly chain. His elbows are twisted behind his back and he cannot move from where he kneels on the ground.
STR save 15 after 1 minute or after you receive damage from your opponent, Tony!
