This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jones catches the crowbar and looks at it with incredulity. He finally attempts to open the door with the crowbar.
Not sure what to roll, so here's a d20: 14
After some time (30 seconds or so) of no progress, Jones finally gives up. "This isn't working. And I'm not too happy about the idea of breaking and entering. Let me try something else." He starts to turn away, then looks at them again. "I'm going to change into a spider. Please don't step on me." As the women watch, Jones disappears within his clothes. The uniform and his equipment collapse to the floor, seeming empty. Shortly after, a brown spider with a tiny body, but longish legs crawls out of the folds of the uniform and heads toward the space below the door.
One question, mechanically how did you get the crowbar? What spell was that?
Also a nat3 is too low to get the door open. Creature turns into a spider and slips beneath the door. It is dark on the other side. There is a stair case leading down. to the basement.
When you get down you notice some strange creatures walking around. They look... like naked zombies (don't worry, they don't have genitals). This basement smells even worse than the top. The room is mostly a square. There are a few empty oxygen cylinders here and some pipes run along the wall. There's sewage on the floor. The room has a single metal door in it. This one isn't a Heavy Door.
Spider-Creature continues to crawl around on the walls and/or ceiling (staying out of sight) looking for a key. If he doesn't see anything in the zombie room, he will enter the next room to continue looking.
In the next room is a long hall way with doors on either side. The doors lead to a storage, a generator room, a file archive and and a room for the water heater.
This doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere, so Spider-Creature returns. I'll let you (DM) decide exactly how long he was gone.
After [some time], the women realize something is going on with the pile of uniform. The clothes are moving about and finally filling in. After a few seconds, Officer Jones is standing before the door once again. He reaches out and touches the handle again before turning around to look at the other two. "The door needs a key on both sides. There are stairs and a room with what appear to be zombies at the bottom. On the other side of another door is a hallway and several utility rooms off that. I suggest we look around here to see if we can find something we might can use to open the door. There might be a key, but might need to resort to opening it by force."
(OOC: Zombies aren't a thing. It is surprising but less than it would be in the real world because mutants are a thing. Many supers are mutants so it isn't too impossible to think of zombies.)
OOC: OK, so when Jones said it, he said it with a bit of unbelief in his voice.
Jones starts looking around in their immediate vicinity for either a key or something to break the door down. "Well, that's what they looked like. I've never seen what I know for certain is a real zombie, but they were naked and shambling and dead looking," he says a bit distractedly.

Whispers leans over, watching little spider Creature, "Is he going to be naked when he turns back?"
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Ilia raises her eyebrows at Whispers, but says nothing.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Whispers blinks at Ilia, "What? It's an honest question!" she motions to the discarded clothes on the floor.

Does the lock on the stairs side have a way to unlock the door?
no
(Minor Conjuration. Subclass feature.)

OK, Spider-Creature heads down the stairs, climbing along the wall.
Whispers sits down against the wall and pulls out a pepperoni stick to munch on while waiting.

Whispers looks up at Archon, "I'm starting to not smell it... plus I haven't eaten in hours." she holds up another pepperoni stick in offer to her.

OOC: Are zombies a thing in this world? I guess I should know whether Creature should be surprised by this as well.
