Vuist launches into the air and slashes down the crow sitting there as it moved to attack him. The creature, still breathing, was about to caw until the kithkin slammed his open palm into the damn bird. Vuist, sensing malice closing in on him, tilts his head back to see part of that murder coming towards him! Using his lightning fast reaction, he manages to whirl around with his blade and quickly cuts down 8 of them without taking any of their pecks!

Xelazhia brings out a wicked-looking handheld contraption, with multiple blades on one side. She open the lid and a ray of frost shoots out, streaking towards the attacking crows! She squeals in delight at the frigid beam of whiteish-blue.

Grumbling to herself, she decides then to cast [Tooltip Not Found] on one of her daggers, turning it into a magic weapon that burns brightly as if on fire. (Bonus action)
Xelazhia is so pleased with the magical frost that it doesn't quite hit any of the crows above in the sky.
Pouf, before the start of your turn, you notice something with your keen pupper senses... these crows seem WEIRD!!! Almost like they have after images that last for hardly a second. Your team mates don't seem to notice this. (Hint: no one rolling perception will see this even on a crit!!)

Pouf's marvelous attack turns several crows into roasted birds! 9 of them fall to the ground and make some pretty gross SPLAT sounds as they do. They seem extra crispy.
The murder does not seem pleased! They are targeting Vuist and Pouf as they swoop and seem to, together, form the outline of a giant crow with outstretched talons!!

Attack on Pouf: Attack: 22 Damage: 14 Piercing!
Miguel pulls forth a rod that he whirls somewhat until it forms a spear. He seems nervous. Unfocused. He looks to Xelazhia and places a hand on her shoulder as he says, "I can't do much, but I can at least try to ward them off of you." Xelazhia recognizes this magic. She met a priest once who had the ability to cast magic... this was what the religious would call Sanctuary.

"Well, that's not very nice," Amanita observes. She whispers, "Buzz, buzz,"while waving her staff and a cloud of blood sucking insects seem to swarm out of it and head for what remains of the flock. The infestation burrows into their feathers biting and buzzing.
CON Save DC15, Damage: 11
Then she looks at Vuist. "Poor little fellow," and utters a word sounding like rushing water.
With that wave of her staff, large mosquito-like creatures materialize and hunt down the birds flying overhead. Frightened, the birds buzz off and fly away toward the rookery while being chased by these summoned insects. Amanita knows they will see dead crows on their way to the building, but not all of them will have perished... The murder will become a problem again when they arrive, but at least now they have some idea of what had the arbiter in a tizzy.
"Well that's not something you see everyday..." Miguel whistles as he watches the birds soar away. "What do you suppose has them set so strange?"

Amanita is well-trained in all matters concerning nature, but there are no obvious signs relating to why the crows are acting so strangely and agitated. The crows found in rookeries are typically domesticated ones. They have guaranteed shelter, food, and water. There is a degree of safety in the life they lead, especially now with the war being over. Yet her eyes did not deceive her. The birds acted, she realizes now, unnaturally. There is absolutely nothing in the purview of nature that should have caused such strange behavior.
Some ideas Amanita has include: (for her eyes only)
Perhaps one of those people you are searching for have power over crows? Given your own strange powers and that of your current companions, it wouldn't be odd to think such a thing.
They could be trained to attack in this manner. Maybe someone at the rookery is responsible for this.
Something about how the birds behaved was supernatural, and Amanita has a sense that perhaps the feywild or other plane is related in someway.

“We ought to approach carefully,” she tells the others, finally speaking directly to them.

(From earlier "Frightened, the birds buzz off and fly away toward the rookery while being chased by these summoned insects." Amanita also might have some clues close to the chest.)
You follow the trail of dead birds and the rookery comes into view. It seems to be a sort of semi-destroyed tower made from stone and mortar that has been upcycled into the building it is today. It seems like there are spokes protruding from it all around, but now that you near enough, you see that a large tree has grown twisted around this tower. Some of you can immediately infer that this could be the work of a certain type of druid circle known as the circle of harmony.
Something that strikes you immediately is that all the birds in view are not crows, but other types, primarily pigeons. There seems to be a person hovering just outside a 50 ft radius of the rookery. They don't seem to notice you immediately. You take a moment to recognize that this is a cat person of some kind with long, furry ears. Their nose wriggles as they stare at the rookery with scrunched eyes.
