Looking over the door, even with the door unlocked, it has still been barred shut from inside, the only way to open them would be by force, which would be noticeable by anybody nearby.
(OOC: DM: Are there any gaps small enough for an animal to fit through? If so, Ebur could Wild Shape into a mouse and enter the house, then revert and unbar a door.)

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Roselina was surprised, hearing that the burgomaster executed 30 people last week just because they didn't enjoy the festival. But she was getting real annoyed with this guy. "We know that the gardener at the church sold you some bones. What did you do with them?" she would ask him, waiting for an answer.
The voice on the other side says "You'll regret it if you don't leave me alone and GO AWAY! They'll come for you tonight, I'll make sure of it!" the man says ominously. Looking around the building, the windows, even the ones on the upper floor, are all the same iron of lattice-work as those on the ground floor. There is a chimney that is about half an inch wide that comes out the roof, but no way up to it, short of flying. The shop has a seperate mailbox that stands about a foot in front of the building.
Finding No entry to the rear, and cursing that He didn't check for bars, Quilrith dashes back to the front, just as Vrak begins to ask for assistance. Since Diplomacy seems to have failed and force is necessary, Quilrith lends a hand to the hulking Paladin, to barge through the front door and confront this ciffin seller.
Roselina's eyebrows rose up as she heard the man say they would come for them tonight. They? "They? Make sure that they come for us tonight? You're working with him, aren't you?!" she said back, thinking that he must mean Strahd and that he is one of his spies. She watched as Vrakvroth and Quilrith go to break the door down, getting near and ready to trip the man if they get the door open and the man somehow comes running out.
Ebur looks on curiously as Vrak and Quilrith force entry into the coffin-maker's shop. He is prepared to help Rosalina to subdue the man if necessary, but also wonders who 'they' might refer to. There were many things going on in this town, and until Ebur understood them all and how they impacted on his desire to restore the natural order, he would reserve his judgment. Hopefully this coffin-maker would have the chance to explain himself and his actions ...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The door swings open, revealing standing behind a counter, looking up with surprise, an old man with full head of grey hair and beard, around his early 70s in age, his skin wrinkling and beginning to tighten that his cheeks have become sunken. The old man looks exhausted, and sighs, putting his hands up. "Alright, alright. They made me do it," the man says with a sincere fear of the show of force. "Their upstairs, next to the nest," he says with surrender.
Nest? asks Ebur with genuine interest now. What kind of nest?
Ebur's immediate thoughts are of birds, snakes, rats and wasps, and he wonders if there are eggs or young. These have been rare sightings in stagnant Barovia, and some strong breeding could be good evidence of a return to the natural cycle in region ...

"Well, whoever or whatever they are we've certainly lost the element of suprise, lets hope they are in a talking mood! " Quilrith looks around the shop, looking for escape routes and for the stairs and listening for any signs of what might be up there.
"I'm such a fool," the man says through tears. "I should have never trusted that elf! The next day, they come and nest and make me steal the bones, they were going to kill me!" he says.
Roselina was surprised, seeing the really old man behind the counter and hearing him say that they made him do it and were upstairs next to the nest. Nest? She goes in with the others as she hears the old man cry, talking about how he shouldn't have trusted that elf and that the next day they came and nested, making him steal the bones and were going to kill him. Elf? The only elf she could recall ever meeting was the 'half-elf Rictavio' but really the human Rudolph, thinking. "Who exactly is this elf and what did they tell you? Just what are they? Tell us and we'll protect you from them." Roselina said back calmly, trying to reassure and calm down the crying man.
When the man reveals that the same creatures that made the 'nest' also made him steal the bones, he starts to think this might be a nest of a different kind. Seeing Sova about to creep up the stairs, he focuses on the aspect of the cat and projects this to Sova.
(OOC: If allowed, Enhance Ability (Cat's Grace) on Sova, so she can Stealth with advantage. Not just because Sova failed the roll, but because in this format there's no opportunity to cast this spell prior to the roll) :D

Looking around, it's a solid stone building - the glasswork is lattice with steel, and is a very secure building.

Athletics to break the door down 26
Angry that this man would dare steal from a church and now hurl insults and threats Vrak heaves his massive bulk against the door to break it down.
((Roll made with advantage, but the first roll is a 16 so 22 without advantage.))
