((OOC: There are three Vistani, and you could change as many cards as you like, just all at one time))
"Not Always" the Vistani responded, "he was once kind, until the mists got to him, now he rules this land like a tyrant. We Vistani are the only ones who can navigate the mists safely, thanks to what our ancestors did for him, they looked after him. Personally, I've never met the guy," the Vistani answers Quil's question.
Roselina glared as none of the Vistani folded like she hoped and they ended up losing the match. She listens to the Vistani talk about Strahd, nodding and thinking. "Really? None of you have met him? If you know that he was kind and that it was the mist changing him, why not try to save him?" she says back to them, gauging if they are lying or honest and telling the truth.
"That's simple, because we can no longer reach him. Haven't been able to in centuries. When we tried to save him, that's when we were then able to navigate these mists," one of the three Vistani respond. They don't show any signs of duplicity as they answer your questions. "It's like he pushes us away from him, like someone who loves you but doesn't want you to see them as they currently are," another says.
"But he does know your in Barovia, there is no doubt," one of the other Vistani say. "In fact, you've already met some of his agents, I can smell it on you," she says.

Roselina listens to the Vistani, surprised. "Ah, okay. Despite having been changed by the mists, he must still not want the Vistani to get hurt by him, remembering his past and what the ancestors did for him. Yes, we've already met him as well. Agents? We only know of the one who he ended up killing. Do you happen to know who they might be?" she says back, now questioning as to who the other agents might be. Other than the old mortician, that might mean one or more of the people they met are actually with Strahd and are hiding it. But either way these Vistani might know something, who the agents are or that they are the true agents and are just lying to cover it up.

"Smell it on us? What do you mean?" Quil looks at the vistani, looking for any signs of why they should be able to smell anything on him. Anything that doesn't seem right.
"A Barovian saying, meaning it's obvious you've encountered a Vistani before," the Vistani replied "because your not acting surprised at how different we are to the locals," he adds as he winks and taps his nose gently.
Quil doesn't find anything physical causing an odour on his person, or on any of his group.
"Any one of us," the Vistani say with a smile. "After all, before he was the devil he has become, he was our prince," he tells you, the smile vanishing as he becomes more sullen before withdrawing to silence.

Sova pipes in with a mournful look in his eyes (I'm tapping into my background perk), "Please tell us more about Strahd. It might help us restore him to his former self."
"Well, he was prince of Barovia, then he was cursed. Nobody has been able to break the curse, because nobody has been able to gather everything needed. Madame Eva has already told you what you need to know, you will need to follow her clues in order to succeed. You have already found one, however there is still more to find in the city. I know no more, just that your business here is not finished," the Vistani replies to the question. "After all, we can pass through the mists, not part them," he added.
Roselina listens to the Vistani, wondering if they really are with Strahd or not, considering all the advice and help they've given so far. She hears Vrak's question, waiting to see if these Vistani would actually help them out more or make up an excuse not to help them.
"We can no longer approach our prince, and only pass through the mist. We do not know where he hides, and only that Madame eva told you that there is a wealthy woman - that wealthy woman can be found in town - in fact, you've already met her family," the Vistani says, their eyes going black and then the Vistani camp vanishes, leaving the top of the hill empty. The hovels and dusk elves is all that remains behind.
Sova turns to his group, "A wealthy woman? I've only spoken to a couple ofr hunters back in town. Did anyone speak to this woman? or her family? I assume, Rosalina, you would have been the one to talk to them."
"Well, we can report back that they are interested in helping us but they have also disappeared. Back to town I guess. We need to find out who this woman is."
Roselina listened to the Vistani, now remembering the woman and her family, knowing that she must be the one. She was very surprised when suddenly the Vistani and the camp just all disappeared right in front of them. Then she had heard Sova and Vrok, nodding back. "Yes, I did speak with her and her family. I know where she will be at too, so let's go speak with her." she had said back as she would lead the way to the woman's house on the road north towards the Lake just before leaving the city.
Roselina leads you to a house that looks like it is disgusted with itself. A slouching roof hangs heavy over furrowed gables, and moss-covered walls sag and bulge under the weight of the vegetation. As you study the house's sullen countenance, you can hear the edifice itself actually groan. It is then you realize just how much this house hates what it has become.
Roselina is absolutely shocked and disgusted by the house as she comes up to it. Seriously? For such a snooty woman, she sure lives in a shabby house. Then again, it could be Strahd and the environment causing this too. She sighs, walking up to the house and knocked on the door.

Vrak stands to the side watching the exchange but declining to play cards. He watches the Vistani to gauge their feelings on Strahd.
