Without a map, it's hard to say, but lets take the one that seems most like a side passage. Clear that out then go on down the main passage. So, go down the one that is most off of "straight ahead."

Rowena continues to follow along... evidently Iroona knows what she is doing so the noble barbarian lady goes along it all without complaint.

Well if someone would like to give me an investigation roll to see which tunnel seems the not main passage then?

Iroona's Investigation roll: 11

Pulling her long, blond, wavy hair out of her face, Iroona crouches down to investigate the floor, looking to the remaining passages. She examines the scuffs on the walls of passing people. She even smells the air down each passage. It's all very charismatic.

"This way," she declares.

OOC > The actual way is dependent on the Dm's adjudication of her roll...

Iroona points towards the north passage heading out of this area and as you wander down the tunnel it opens in to another cave.  And you see haphazard stacks of crates, barrels, sacks, and bundles crowd this long cavern. To the north, two finished stone passageways open to the east and west; a narrower opening leads south (the red X where you entered). In the southeast corner is an old well full of murky water.

Iroona looks over at the pool of water. "Von, can Pail-o-liquid go see if there's anything to that old well?"

Von shrugs. If it’s less than 30ft, sure. Von moves to the well, and Palaemon , staying in the backpack (he can’t leave), looks around.

(30ft blindsight. What does he see?)

If Palaemon finds nothing, Von lights a torch and drops it down the well, looking to see something.

OOC > The well is full of murky water...

(A water weird can’t leave the water it is bound to, or it dies. It is bound to the water in my tank, not the well water.)

(wait... oh.. I just got it. I’m tired. Of course there's water in the well! Ugh.... you wanted me to inspect it, didn’t you? For traps, or something? Maybe Blindsight will take care of that...)

OOC > I didn't know if maybe he had extra water sense (the blindsight could help, if the water is murky), or if he could merge with the water and sense what is in it... don't know how the water weirds work. I didn't realize he couldn't leave the tank, I thought he just couldn't recover or be away too long. Still he could stick his head in the water and use the blindsight I guess.

Mostly I was pointing out that if Von dropped a torch in the well, it would likely go out. :)

Von will not drop a torch, for fear his precious fire will go out.

Rowena keeps watch as the two investigate the well, ready to lend a hand as needed.

Yup....its a well....full of murky water....smells maybe a bit funky but not too bad.

The rest of the stuff piled around the areas look like more standard plunder - foodstuffs, ale, blankets, tools, timber, pitch, nails, wool, and similar goods.

You also notice as you stand around the well that there is a passage to the southwest - that Y's  to the West and the southeast - you suspect the west tunnel would take you back to the last room you were in (the tunnel you didn't take)

Iroona chose last time. She becomes very interested in the contraband until someone else chooses a direction.

Von lights a torch, sets it on the ground, readies Palaemon to put out fires, and spins. (Odd is left passage, even is right passage) 6

Palaemon will put out any fires, and Von picks up the now unlit torch. Left path! Forward! Fire wishes us this way!

So you head North to the finished stone passageways and turn left down a well constructed hallway that is about 45 feet long before it turns to the north.  About 30 feet down the hallway you also see another tunnel branch off to the south.

Slate

Slate followed everyone, the light on her shield illuminating the way ahead. She stayed mostly silent, though she did continue to shift her gaze to Iroona, her infatuation getting the best of her.

Rowena follows close behind Slate, her maul clutched tightly ready for more orcs to appear at any moment when she notices Slate every so often look back to check on Iroona. Rowena gives a quiet laugh and shakes her head.

So do you want to go to the left or to the end of the hall and to the right?
