As you exit the Old Shrine and head back into the rift you head southwest towards the soft glowing light to clear the area.
The rift widens the further south you go. As you walk you notice that the small, two-foot-diameter holes that riddle the node increase in frequency and the light grows stronger. Finally you reach the end of the rift which widens into a small cavern. There you find one of the holes emitting a fiery light...

The creature snaps its jaws just short of Talien's face, but whips him with its tail as Talien jumps back in surprise. The creature lets out a screech revealing a long forked flame red tongue.

It’s a pulsating light. It starts off warm, grows more intense, flickers out.. then starts again.
