The voice echose out again, “ALLISOOOON MAAARGRAAAAVE!”

This time, the table flies toward Imani, “MAAARRGRAAAAVEE!”

Attack: 22 Damage: 5 bludgeoning damage (not gonna give advantage this time)

Meanwhile, the walls continue to shake, “ALLISSSSOOOON MAAARGRAAAAVE!!” Suddenly, Imani feels her body lock up as a force slams her into the wall, Attack: 15 Damage: 7 force damage (That one, however, did have advantage!)

She brushes the second attack aside. "So I guess we don't say her name. Kind of a weird choice for a trigger." She turns to the invisible (?) servants. "What about our resident demigods? Any advice for us mortals?"

She shakes her head. "You know what? Screw this."

She cocks her bands of the pactkeeper Iron Man-style and fires off three purpleand orange beams of sulphurous midnight.

The randomly aimed rapid-fire blasts detonate across the walls of the foyer. However, they all seem to hit the same strange resistance as they collide with an invisible creature! There is a deafening screech throughout the whole building, “MARGRAAVE! YOU’RE ALL MARGRAAAVE!”

And now is the time for initiative

Imani doesn't blink. 3 more blasts issue from her open palm, striking two of the targets (rolled on discord; DM free to assign damage as appropriate!)

While one of the blasts goes off into the distance, the others strike their marks as floating objects drop to the ground with a horrific screech.

However, the roars of anger and terror continue throughout the mansion. It seems that this haunting is far from over.

On that note, Imani watches as an arm reaches out through the wall, followed by a whole, incorporeal body, “MaaaarrrGRAAAAVEEE!”

It swipes at her, Attack: 8 Damage: 15 Necrotic damage. The swipe misses, and the specter instantly sucks itself back through the wall.

Caster calls forth a crown of stars, but as he can perceive no targets, holds the motes of radiant energy in reserve.

From below Oz, another spirit bolts up from the floor! It claws and swipes at him, Attack: 19 Damage: 10 necrotic damage.

However, as it does, a wireframe shield of energy deflects its blow! 
“Great! Our own horror movie! You know the nerdy kid always dies first in those! Thanks Imani!”
The spirit dives back down into the floor.

”We’ll need to wait for them to come to use! There’s no way that we can fight them if they keep diving!”

Oz holds a 3rd level Magic Missile for when the next spook attacks!

Sarai flutters off of Imani's (dangerous!) shoulder and transforms back into hybrid form (BA to return to normal form), unlimbering her rifle, and preparing it for a shot. She will Ready a shot for the next apparition.

Readied shot: 16 to hit, for 23 magical piercing damage

Beneath Sarai’s feet, a specter crawls out, “MAAAAR-“

But the sound is silent with a deafening boom as bullet of pure mana scorches the ground from Sarai’s rifle. The specter scatters into vapor.

However, the others cry out, “YOU’RE ALL MARGRAVE! YOU TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE! YOU HAVE TAKEN EVERYTHING FROM US! EVERYTHING! JUST LIKE HER! YOU’RE ALL MARGRAVE!”

Meanwhile, in the library where Assassin is, the dust begins slowly moving as the jaw almost seems to crawl along.

Suddenly, as if driven by a predatory instinct, the dust coils and swarms Assassin, the jaws gnawing at her spiritual body, 17. However, of course, they cannot actually harm her.

Sarai looks up. “The best approach might be to burn the place down!”

Imani pinches the bridge of her nose. "Okay, everyone stop."

She waves get hands in the air. "Hey, ghosts! We came here to kick Margraves' ass! Tell us where she is and we'll get out of your... ectoplasm stuff."

Dream will swipe at the snapping jaws, which she mentally likens to a gag jaw from an old timey carton and stabs at it with her umbrella. (She will do so once more if need be.) Regardless of its alive/dead status, Dream will move through the mansion to locate Imani and protect her.

Nibble of opportunity: 26

Assassin’s umbrella collides with the pseudo-spiritual form of the gravedust. However, it follows after the fleeing Assassin!

The jaw phases through Assassin’s spiritual body. While it does not do any damage, Assassin feels about 2 Strength weaker. Additionally, in her spiritual core, Assassin feels something shift a bit, needing a Con Save!

Assassin feels her spiritual body slow... stiffen... and lock up completely. She is Paralyzed.

Meanwhile, the 4th Specter lunges after Imani, following the specter that had attacked earlier! However, Oz releases a flurry of arcane missiles toward the being! 18 force damage. The bolts disintegrate vast portions of the entity, but not enough to fully disincorporate it!

It lungs at Imani, Attack: 10 Damage: 7 Necrotic damage! However, this one also misses, and then runs back into the ceiling.

Or at least, that’s what would have happened...

However, Caster witnesses it differently. For in his madness-addled mind, he recalls a vision he had near the start of this war. A foretelling, which binds reality to the selected future. In the vision, the gravedust swirled around Assassin, but, as it bites at her, Assassin slides under the undead and completely dodges it. She then runs completely out of the room and can arrive next to Imani. However, the gravedust and Caster are still in the same room! It turns its gaze toward him.

Meanwhile, as Imani calls out her message to the spirits, everything calms for a moment, “Where? Where... where... where... MAARGRAAAAVE!! Where! YOU COWARD! YOU’VE TAKEN EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING! GIVE HER BACK! MAARGRAAAVE!” Things throw around the room and the spirits seem to be going crazy... but not necessarily at you. They are still in a state of rage and Imani‘s 29 has placed you all in a very precarious position.

Caster conjures a watery sphere (metamagic: heighted spell) to restrain the grave dust. DC 22 Strength save with disadvantage.

Then he will use his magical staff to hurl one of the motes of starlight at the creature, seeking to banish whatever animating spirit exists there. 

Spell Attack: 35 Damage: 19 radiant

If the spirit dies, he will follow Assassin out of the room.

So... the dust can’t actually *beat* that. So... into the bubble he goes!

Followed shortly by a mass of starlight incinerating a portion of the creature. However, it still bubbles and fizzes inside the sphere of water. It is far from over.

Meanwhile, outside the room, in foyer, the rest of the ghosts screech and all turn toward the room.

The first specter crawls out of the ceiling. However, as it does, it’s form shifts and bloats, becoming and orb of ghastly light. As it does, the other specters forms seem to slip into ether and are sucked into the orb, which condenses into a single, multi-armed, massive form. The ghost roars, “MAAAARGRAAAVE!”

This new... horrible creature screeches downward over Oz, 1. Holy cow. Welp. Oz resists whatever happened there. However, this one is not going to vanish into the ground.

However, on his turn, Oz vanishes in a flash of digital light and reappears at the top of the staircase with Imani! Adding to that, Oz extends his hand toward the entity, “Like I said before, I AIN’T AFRAID OF NO GHOST!” He’ll fire a level 5 lightning bolt! 41 lightning damage vs 7 Dex save. The bolt rips through a portion of the creature, as it roars in pain.
