Imani (who I'm just going to assume is riding shotgun next to Sarai) glances back to the others. 

"Uhhh, there was nothing about an enormous statue outside of the city gates on Wikipedia, gang. Is this a magic thing? What are the odds that we're about to start a little earlier than expected?"

"We should not remain in this vehicle. We are a large target." Sarai will get out of the car (if she was driving, she'll stop it and get out, if she was a passenger, she will ask it be stopped and will get out).

"A mile is too far for me to get a good shot, but better to get out now than closer. We do not know where they have deployed." Sarai says, dropping to one knee while transforming into her hybrid form. She unzips her long bag, pulls out a saber in a scabbard and belts it on quickly, then she takes the long, ornate gun out and lays it down carefully. She takes her small pack off, takes the cloak out and puts it on, immediately appearing to shift position several feet. The goggles go on her face, shadowing her bright yellow eyes.

"We should be looking for its Master." Then she puts the long bag, empty, into the pack, pulls out several clips of ammunition, which she secrets about herself, and a bandolier of wickedly large bullets, which she slings across her body the other way. Then she slips the pack back on, and calmly examines her rifle, finally chambering one of the large bullets, and sighting down the way towards the waiting giant.

"I can get myself into an advantageous position, but without communication, I can't scout well for you. I can provide some cover, however. How do you wish to approach it?"

She will step into the shadows in an attempt to hide, then look about carefully for likely snipers or Masters.

Passive Perception is 22 (twice what she rolled!), because she is Observant, depending on how you adjudicate that, JcAndD...

Imani opens her rucksack and briefly rolls down the window.

Are there civilians? Is this an open road to the giant? Are there buildings along the road? Streetlights? Does our car look like a normal car, or is it clearly magical/special (did Imani summon a *****in' Camaro, or a Ford Fiesta?

(I think we skipped the vehicle summoning part. I can still dredge up a chopper, if need be)

From the depths of the shadows into which Sarai melted, she asks, "I also need to know if we intend to see this battle through to the end, or if we just wish to skirmish and escape. Do we pursue if they leave the field, or do we let them go? I would have done with them now, and press the attack if we have that chance."

 There are currently no civilians, it is nearing pretty late in the night. It is essentially an open road without streetlights about a mile away from him, as you are still outside the city itself. It currently, as Imani did not summon it, is a normal car.

Oscar is looking a little pale and is breathing hard. "This can't be the only way into the city. Why not just take an alternate route? Caster, can you teleport us all?"

He doesn't seem to be taking chances. Oz holds up his phone as if he is about to take a selfie while muttering something under his breath. A mesh of glowing wires appears hovering about an inch from his skin. He holds his arms out to the sides and the mesh melds to his body, covering every inch. The glowing wires then fade, leaving no sign of what just happened.

"Mage armor," Oz says with a wink.

OOC > Sarai will peek out from behind the car where she is hidden, this time with guidance from the living city, via Imani... so the original 11 + 3 is...

Lucky 13!

While neither of you see anything besides his steely glare from a mile away, Virgil sneakily gets in close. After a few moments, he is in close enough range to get a good view of the man. To put it lightly, this man is enormous. He is quite obviously imposing with his stature, which seems to ripple with muscle, but his very demeanor seems to command both fear and respect. He has short, dark hair and a short, yet wild, beard. His eyes are cool and collected, focusing on your group like a hunter does his prey. He is covered in sheep skin, but aside from that, he doesn’t wear any armor. You see that the spear next to him is barbed at the tip, like a ballista shot.

Imani quirks an eyebrow. "Yeah, okay- that's pretty cool," she says. "I doubt Theseus over there can throw that spear from a mile away, though... I definitely can't hit him with anything from here. What about that drone of yours, Inspector Gadget? You said you can do things from a distance with it, right?"

"What do you expect me to do to THAT?" Oz asks incredulously.

“Teleport us all, I can.” Caster nods and beckons everyone closer. “Where is a good place? Atop the wall?”

Imani's eyes widen. "For real?" She looks toward the city. "We need time to prepare for this. Sarai, do you have a safe place in the city? Somewhere the other Masters might not know about?"

She eyes Caster up. "Or maybe you could teleport that big guy into the sun, or something. Can you do that?"

"While we are in the field, you should call me by my sparra name, Warbeak."

"I have an apartment in the city, yes. Or rather, Sarai Passerida does. If they have done their research, it may not be safe, especially with someone from Jerusalem among the Masters. We should be cautious. Perhaps a hotel, for the moment, while I contact some people for a more permanent place?"

She pauses a moment to consider, tilting her head in a bird-like fashion.

"There is some value in testing this one's strength, I think. Perhaps if Caster is prepared to take you all to safety, I might poke the giant, as it were? I hate to leave this opportunity with nothing but our tail feathers caught in the window."

Caster answers Imani in his soft but gravelly voice, “I can only teleport those who are willing. And I do not wish to go to the sun. But I could, perhaps, bring some of the sun’s heat down on him.”

After getting an initial read on what the giant is wearing, Caster says, “Although that might prove to be ineffective.”

"Do you think you can beat him, Caster?"

Caster muses, looking just past Oz' left ear as he speaks. "It is a possibility, Master—though if we teamed up, would we not stand a better chance?" 

"Huh... He's just standing there looking at us..." Assassin's head wobbles as if she was about to drift back to sleep. "Maybe he is with a team, or maybe he and his master want to join a team... He doesn't know I'm here... Caster should put us somewhere else and talk with... that guy... If he turns out to pick a fight, then Birdie can shoot ... And I'll strike. Sounds... Okay?"
