Speaking with Oz so that the others can hear, Caster asks, "Do you have a way to amplify a WiFi signal remotely? That is a thing, yes? So as we can set up wherever we wish, and simply aim your amplification device towards the signal in question?" 

"I can fanangle something. Remember the whole 'don't make collateral damage' thing? Our base should be in a populated area to reduce chances of attack."

 "We could also set up shop in an orphanage," Imani says with a wry grin. "But I think they're going to find a way to hit us no matter where we are. I like your idea of finding cover, though." She closes her eyes for a moment. "There's a large public library to the southwest on Yisahar. It should have enough normal people around to discourage the other masters from dropping a nuke on us, but not so many that we would guarantee that innocents would get hurt. I can set up the tower on the roof and Oz can use the library's signal for his technomojo."

Oz raises his eyebrows and nods his agreement.

A sudden thought occurs to Imani. "Hey, Uptown- besides you and the people in my little entourage, who is listening to our conversation right now? Who is watching us? Would you please point them out?"

(We're probably the last to make it to the city, and teleportation or not, we made a ruckus when we got here. We can probably assume that the other masters know exactly who and where we are at any time.)

 Uptown strokes his well-kept beard, “Well, you are a woman talking to an invisible spirit on the sidewalk of a busy street, currently there are many people watching you. If you meant magic, I am afraid I do not know.”

 Uptown nods, “Of course, I am a concept, anchored and given form by the link of your spell. I am, in a sense, simply an interface with civilization itself. That answer is on the house, so to speak.”

Imani considers. "Are there any... I don't know- Are there any magical artifacts here that could help us? Or hidden places that would be easier to defend than a library?"

 Uptown considers, “I am detecting a powerful arcane artifact within my bounds, however it is moving away from you. As for a hidden place, there are catacombs that run parallel with the sewers beneath me, but I’m mostly at the edge these.”

Imani sighs. "Well, the artifact will be in the hands of a servant or master, and I'm not even going to consider the catacombs." She looks up at the spirit. "Thank you, Uptown. That was actually very helpful."

She turns back to the others. "What do we think, team: library, mountain, or hotel? We need to make a plan and book it before nightfall."

Uptown bows once more, “A pleasure, as always.” He dematerializes into faint particles of mana.

"Library... I love stories... will you read one to me?" Dream wobbles in place. "There's lots'a people there... and... there are lots of exits... prolly."

"I'm in no way qualified to make tactical decisions, but I think the library is a sound enough idea. Sarai, what would you suggest? This is your area of expertise, right?"
