The boy has currently dived behind a half-open door and is out of sight, unfortunately.
The last guard goes down, a death rattle in his lungs.
Out of initiative. The final guard is dying, so a spare the dying or Medicine check will have to be made pronto to keep him alive. In 24 hours, something new will happen to change the situation, so please post.
Seeing the threat is ended, but the boy has ducked out of sight, He sheathes his blade and darts to the doorway. They need to save the boy, and that will be more difficult if he runs and gets more guards.
The door seems to lead into a small recreational room with a table and a couple chairs, as well as the board game you saw inside the special prisoner guard rec room. You don't see the boy.
All guards are now stable.
Liira, Tiem, Ryder and the people you're rescuing come out, Likashtai leaning on Liira's arm while Ilaan stays near the back of the little group with Ryder, who keeps casting suspicious glances at the boy. Roiin is walking without support (at least for now), but Tiem is keeping a close eye on him.

Taran feels like he is talking from deep beneath a sea, pressure crushing him from all sides. "I... don't.... know.... Caelius..."He blinks, shaking his head as his voice returns to a monotone. "He entered the room. I do not hear anything. He is likely hiding out of fear of us, not knowing we wish to save him. There is no exit. I can close the door and guard it while you look for him. You would be more comforting than myself."
”I need your voice Taran, I need your empathy. I need you to tell him that... that his dad’s here. That I want to take him home. Tell him that if he doesn’t want to come we will leave. We won’t hurt him or force him to do anything he doesn’t want to.”

“I can’t make you forget, no one can. You can try to suppress it but it’ll come back. It’s a part of you, so own it. We can talk later, but right now, I need you and your voice. Please, just tell him I’m here.”

Taran blinks back his own tears as he forces himself back to the surface, trembling at the massive pressure crushing him from all sides. His voice cracks and wavers with the despair, "Ar-Arthem, th-the m-man with m-me i-is Caelius, y-your Father. I-I kn-know s-something h-happened, b-because h-he c-can't sp-speak anymore, or h-hear your v-voice, b-but it i-is him. Ar-Arthem,"Taran squeezes his eyes shut in pain, "Y-your Father has c-come b-back for you, t-to take you home w-with him. W-We won't f-force you to c-come with us, b-but c-could you a-at least step out. T-talk to him? I'll tr-translate as b-best as I c-can. I-if y-you c-come w-with us I-I c-can even teach y-you th-the signs w-we use to talk. Pl-please Ar-Arthem?"
The boy pokes his head around from behind the door, squeaking as he realizes he's about a foot from Taran. After backing up quickly, he looks at Caelius, looking uncertain. "Um...my...father?"

Taran bites his lip before answering, "S-Some of o-our al-allies were i-in tr-trouble. W-we c-came t-to help th-them. W-we h-heard y-you were h-here j-just b-before we h-heard y-you outside th-the d-door. I-I'm gl-glad we d-didn't h-have to s-search the K-Kintam for you. Th-that would h-have b-been m-more d-dangerous."
"Because I love you. I've missed you every day I don't see you. I didn't mean to leave you and your mom. I tried to get back, I tried so hard... Do...Do you remember her? Your mom?"

Taran points to Caelius' hands as he signs. "H-he's saying i-it is b-because he l-loves you, th-that he h-has missed y-you e-every d-day h-he d-didn't s-see you. H-He say h-he d-d-didn't m-mean to l-leave you an-and your m-mother, th-that h-he t-tried t-to g-get b-back an-and h-he c-couldn't." Taran swallows and turns to look at Arthem, "H-He w-w-wants t-to kn-know if you r-r-remember her."
